Thunder Ryuko and Emily Nelson vs. SA-KI and Zero Kotobuki - Stand Tall

Ryuko knew that this wasn't good and as Zero went for the cover she was already on the move climbing through the ropes and charging in! The count reached one as Ryuko was rushing in, and then it reached two as she got close. Ryuko had to be fast and hoping she could do so without being intercepted she would jump feet first aiming a low dropkick right at Zero to try to smash her off the top of Emily to break the pin! However if she was taken out before she got there then it was all up to Emily....

SA-KI hissed as Ryuko came through the ropes, making a beeline for Zero and Emily. She leaped over the top rope and came rushing towards the center, but speed was never her thing - by the time she was in position, ‘Thunder’ had already struck, knocking Zero off with a low dropkick that sent her tumbling away, breaking the count.

Annoying. But that didn’t meant it was too late for payback.

As soon as Ryuko made her way up, SA-KI intended to greet her with a little surprise - namely, a clothesline right to the chest, trying to drop her with a stiff, clubbing blow.

Ryuko managed to prevent the pin but when she got back up SA-KI sent her crashing right back down! "UGH!" Ryuko groaned as she crashed to the mat. She began rolling to the side, she was not the legal woman so now that she had done her thing the smart play was getting out and getting to her corner again. Ryuko was rolling all the way to the ropes to make an exit hoping to escape without SA-KI doing anything else. She was still wary of fighting on the outside tryin to ready herself so she could get back into position to try to tag Emily back out of the match...

Emily took a breath of relief as she felt Zero get knocked off of her. She had seen Ryuko rushing in to her aid, delivering an almighty kick that sent Zero rolling away in a sprawling heap. For a brief moment, she felt a sense of relief now that her incredible teammate had just saved her what could have been a match-ending pinfall from Zero.

Her relief was short lived, however, as the masked figure of Sa-KI came rushing in from out of nowhere and nailed Ryuko with a clothesline! The Dragon Goddess went down hard and was sent rolling across the mat. Emily grimaced, and forced herself up to her hands and knees, knowing she had to act now to deal with SA-KI before she and Zero tried to double team her...

Springing forwards, Emily lunged, both arms around SA-KI's waist, and with a yell of exertion, would drop back, trying to drive the intruder head-first into the ring with a body to back suplex! If that all worked, then the momentum would take the battered Emily closer to her corner, and allow her to release SA-Ki and roll, battered and hurting, towards Ryuko to make a tag...

”Get out of my ring!”

God, SA-KI had been waiting to clobber Thunder like that for years. Annoying little smart-ass, always getting in everyone’s business. As much as she wanted to get some private time with the woman in this match to let her know just how much she pissed her off, she was happy to send her rolling out of the ring, leaving her for the others to deal with. She could already see Maria making her way around the corner, looking between Ryuko and the referee, waiting for an opportunity.

In the meantime, SA-KI turned her efforts back to Emily - or, rather, she was about to, until she felt a familiar pair of hands grabbing her around the waist. ”What-”

She scarcely had time to process it before she was lifted off her feet and brought crashing to the mat with a suplex, coming down hard on her shoulder. She rolled over, flopped over to her chest, and laid there, groaning as she tried to cope with the pain.

Maria, meanwhile, was looking to get a little more involved. With the referee currently distracted by SA-KI getting wiped out, she rushed toward Ryuko from behind and tried to lay her out with a clubbing blow to the back of her head.

Ryuko was walking back to her corner when she suddenly felt a hard shot to the back of her head knock her down to her hands and knees! "UGH!" She groaned as she fell down trying to get up only to fall down to her belly. This wasn't good, who the hell hit her? Ryuko rubbed her head and tried to get her bearings but the sneak attack left her at a total loss as she was struggling to recover down on the mat outside the ring near her corner.

Emily, at this point, was thankful for small mercies. Small mercies, she noted, such as SA-KI being focused on pummeling Ryuko, and taking a few vital seconds to watch the Dragon Empress go tumbling out of the ring. Vital seconds that Emily was quick to take advantage of. Wrapping her arms around the masked wrestler's waist, the Scotswoman would arch back, slamming SA-Ki hard onto her back, the ring shaking from the combined impact of the two wrestlers!

Releasing SA-KI, Emily took a few valuable seconds to catch her breath as she lay on her back, before glancing at her corner. Just in time to see a familiar, glasses-wearing villianess stalking up behind the recovering Ryuko, clubbing her in the back of the head with a brutal forearm blow.

"Maria, ye SLAG!" Emily yelled, her Scots accent coming to the fore with her anger. She didn't know what made her more furious-- Maria's sneak attack, or the fact that Maria was ruining her chance to tag out with Ryuko. Either way, Emily momentarily forgot that her entire body was aching from Zero's previous brutality: she rolled, and swing her legs, trying to kick her legs out from under the bottom rope and catch Maria in a retaliatory boot to the head!

The crowd booed and hissed as Maria made her mark on the match, but if they thought that sort of thing would discourage her, they were going to be sorely disappointed. She knew what her role in this matchup was, serving as the spoiler, and she had every intention of making sure the Fallen Angels had their well-deserved victory.

She was so wrapped up in the moment and the crowd was so loud that she could only just barely hear Emily’s voice coming from behind her. By the time she cared enough to turn around, it was too late to stop what was coming, the Scotswoman slipped out of the ring and nailed her with a fierce kick to the head, sending her flailing and falling to the floor in a stupor.

SA-KI, meanwhile, was still trying to regain her senses after taking that hard suplex. She pulled her way up in the corner, wondering why Emily wasn’t coming after her for the followup, when she looked over her shoulders and got the answer. Maria getting laid out was never not funny, but even better, it gave her some needed breathing room. She could work with this.

SA-KI stormed over after Emily had dealt with Maria, reached down, and tried to grab the Scotswoman by the hair, pulling her back up to face her in the roughest way possible.

Emily watched in satisfaction as her boot nailed Maria in the head, sending her tumbling down onto the floor. She smiled grimly. This, at least, would teach the purple-haired wench not to interfere, and more importantly it gave Ryuko valuable time with which to recover...though the fact that Ryuko was down meant that, for now, Emily could not tag her in. And Emily was increasingly feeling like she couldn't handle the Fallen Angels on her own, especially after the hellacious beating that Zero had just given her.

Just then, she felt her scalp burning as her hair was yanked. "AAAAH!" she cried as she clutched at the arms pulling her up. She found herself going shakily up to her feet; SA-KI was opposite her, grinning cruelly as she yanked the hurting Scotswoman up to her feet.

"Let...go..." Emily hissed between clenched teeth, trying to ball a fist and shoot it forwards into SA-KI's midsection! She was in a bad state, but she was far from helpless...

SA-KI couldn't help but giggle as she lifted Emily up, pulling hard on the scalp and forcing the woman to rise. ”God, I forget how stupid that accent of yours sounds when you’re screaming.” She pulled the Scotswoman up to her feet preparing to bring this all to a close. ”’Noble Fighter’, my ass.”

SA-KI started to reach down, wanting to pull Emily into a suplex so she could set up for something more substantial, but it seemed like the momentary reprieve had done more for her recovery than she’d anticipated. A stiff shot sank deep in her stomach, driving the air straight out of her, and the sheer surprise of it was enough to drive her back a few steps.

”Gah, you fuck.” She spat to the side, straightened up, and moved back in. ”You’re fucking beat, give up already!” As if to drill the point home, SA-KI rushed in and swung her arm hard at Emily’s face, looking to lay her out with a lariat worthy of Bomber Kirishima.
