Dark Match: Troy Lincoln Vs. "JJ" Janella Johnson

Troy had managed to kick out, but it wasn’t a strong one. The truth was that he’d found himself at the edge of his rope, and he was losing track of things in a hurry, quickly reaching the limits of his stamina. He needed an out now, more than anything. He needed an escape.

He found one as JJ lifted him up and put him off the move again, sending him off to the ropes at a hard pace. He came back just in time to see her leap his way, coming at him with a clear dropkick.

Troy just managed to sidestep the attack at the last second, giving JJ nothing to kick but air and ensuring she would be coming down on her back. He didn't have the energy to do much at the moment, but really, he didn’t need to. Gravity was his friend.

He raised his arm up and simply…fell. Attempting to drop an elbow right on her upper body, one driven by his full body weight.

JJ swung and missed, falling with a grunt down to the mat. She was about to push herself up but Troy's timing was perfect as his big elbow drop smashed her right on her spine! JJ groaned and was flattened against the mat on her stomach, kicking the mat as she rubbed her back where the elbow drop crushed her torso. Troy hit hard and JJ was finding that she had to up her game if she wanted to win as his counters to her mistakes were far more devastating than that of a female wrestler who weighed in at a more typical weight of 140lbs.

Troy had to take a moment to catch his breath after landing the elbow, sucking in lungfuls as he struggled to keep his stamina up. He looked over and wiped the sweat from his brow as he watched JJ writhe, knowing that she was at the end of her rope, too - matches like this took a lot out of you, no matter what, win or lose.

He was in a good place to win, though. He just had to make sure it was in the right way, with something definitive. And he had a fairly good idea of what to use, too.

He rolled over, caught JJ in a front facelock, and kept hold of her as he stood up. With his grasp tight, Troy marched over to the corner and lifted her up, placing her to sit on the top turnbuckle. Even that small effort required a big chunk of his remaining energy, though, and he had to catch a quick breath once she was settled, leaning on the ropes for support while he did.

JJ grunted as Troy lift her up and put her up on the top rope. However as he leaned against the ropes JJ saw an opening. She grabbed the top rope with her hands and thrust a kick out right to his face to make him stagger! "Nice try but you need better mileage to hang with me." JJ said trying to sound confident. She was hurting and running on fumes herself but she wanted this win more, she could sense it. JJ would try to jump off the top rope and hit him with a missile dropkick as hard as she could before sending the both of them down to the mat. JJ would get up after and hope that her top rope attack did enough for her to set up a little something for him...

Troy was on his way up, hoping for a top-rope superplex, when JJ’s foot smashed him in the face and ruined his plans, making him stagger back on wobbling heels. It hurt, but even in his drained state that wasn’t enough to make him fall down and ruin his plans. He could still move forward and finish.

And then he took another dropkick to the chest.

Unlike the last one, this one had gravity on its side, dropping down and hitting him hard in the chest. It had more than enough force to knock him off his feet, and this time he stayed there, rolling around and groaning while he clutched his aching bones. It seemed like he’d finally hit his own limit, but he had the strong feeling that JJ wasn’t quite there yet.

JJ hit Troy hard and got up to her feet. She wanted to put him away now otherwise she was in danger of him coming back and leaving her laid out for good. JJ pulled Troy up by the arm, wrapping one of her arms around his head while grabbing the waist of his attire. At first it looked like she was going for a vertical suplex but JJ wanted to hold Troy up vertical before driving him straight down to the mat, attempting her brain buster finisher the JJ Driver! She was going for broke and aiming for her finisher, hoping that the gamble worked otherwise she would be in a compromised position!

Troy had started to push his way up, but not because he had some kind of comeback in mind or anything like that. The truth was that he could barely even register anything at the moment, working more of instinct than anything. His body knew he needed to get up, and he responded in kind, making a feeble, struggling attempt to rise. The lights were on, yeah, but no one was home.

He’d only begun the effort when JJ came in and helped him along, gripping him tight and pulling him in under her arm. He thought she’d be going for a DDT at first, and he prepared himself to take that, but no - she had something far more impactful in mind.

Troy went up, straight up, his legs shooting towards the ceiling, as JJ kept him suspended for an amazing moment. He only had enough time to marvel at that before he was brought down, crashing hard on his skull with a shocking impact, one that drove all the sense clean out of him. The move left him sprawled out, eyes wide and unblinking, an utterly wrecked mess.

JJ hit her driver, and immediately lay across her shoulders while reaching down to hook a leg to pull it tight! She pressed down and had Troy pinned hoping that this would put the big man away otherwise she was in trouble.... "Come on ref, count it!" JJ shouted as the official was already moving in to place to count the pin attempt.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

JJ held her breath pressing down on the chest of Troy and hoping one more second was in the cards...

”Three!”

And that was it.

Troy had a deep sigh and let his body relax as the final count came down, knowing he was totally spent. As much as he’d been wanting to pull out a win, there wasn’t much he could complain about, in the end - he’d given it his all, fought hard, but JJ was just too much for him. She was clearly talented, and he was honored to share the ring with her. A good match against a good opponent - at the end of the day, that was what he came for, win or lose.

He sat up a few moments after the count was finished and shook his head, just to clear it up a bit and get the blood flowing. ”Wow. That was one hell of a wakeup call you gave me.” He extended his hand, looking for a shake. ”Good match. Go again, sometime?”

JJ stood up and held her fists in the air, strutting around and striking a few poses while she shook her hips, winking to the crowd. As she celebrated she heard Troy rise and he spoke to her. JJ smiled and stepped right up to him to shake his hand. "You almost had me a few times too. If you want to have a go with me you can anytime." JJ said with a playful wink. "You aren't tied to anyone right now are ya? Just curious asking for a friend." JJ added as she gave Troy a looking over.
