Divine could not remember when she was so happy to hear a ‘yes’.

It wasn’t just that Aroha agreed to it - she was fairly certain the woman would, she seemed open to new experiences - but that she did it with such zeal, eager for the ride. It made Divine all the more happy to break her in. The sensation of riding a motorcycle had transformed her life, a part of her that she couldn't live without. She hadn't ridden on a car since the first day she got her chopper. Police cars didn’t count. ”We shall.” She leaned forward with a wink. ”I’ll be out front once you’re dressed. You will not be able to miss it, trust me.”

She meant it, too. After getting dressed and making it outside, Divine straddled her pride and joy, getting it nice and revved up. It’s purring filled the parking lot, and she had a soft sight at the vibration, always loving that sensation. Divine’s body knew what to expect when it heard that sound. Her heart beat strong, her blood raced, eager for the high.

She willed herself to wait, though - this was a shared experience. As Divine waited for her companion, she took a minute to check herself in the mirror, making sure she had her adjusted well - the last thing she wanted was for it to be whipping in Divine’s face for the whole trip.

Aroha wasn’t sure she knew what dressing she needed to do - she glanced down at herself long enough to mull on what she was missing - but she didn’t waste time on wondering. The idea of riding on a motorcycle had her captured, and all she could dwell on was the image of herself zooming through the streets in the wind. It was a heavenly image, and she would have beaten Divine to the bike herself if she had not let superior manners win out. She reeled in her excitement and nodded. “Okay, okay! I'll, uh-” She waved her drink around. “-get rid of this. Somewhere.”

Once she had done so (and it took her some considerable time to figure out where to place it), she started scooting her way through the crowd to catch up with Divine. Successfully avoiding most of them and ignoring the searing glances of the two or three she bumped into a little too firmly, she made it outside and squinted into sets of flaring headlights before she could discern the single one with a divinely shaped woman on the back of it. She might have never moved more quickly than she did zipping toward her and stopping to curl up into an excited ball beside it. It was gorgeous.

“You look so gooooood on it,” she squealed, tempted to rub her hands all over it - the bike, not the woman atop it. That would have likely been a bridge too far, though, and she ended up only sidling up toward the back of it where there was a small stretch of seat for her to sit on. Her smaller back end would fit snugly right up behind Divine’s. That was… how it worked, was it not? She angled herself to get on. “So I just… climb over? Nothing weird about it?” she asked, while she swung her leg over to begin doing so.

And there she was.

It was all Divine could do to avoid gushing as Aroha came her way, bursting with excited energy. She swore, she couldn't remember the last time she’d seen an adult woman with that kind of energy for anything, but that was something she found refreshing in the islander - it was nice to come across someone that wasn’t so jaded about everything. A precious little pearl that the world hadn't smudged yet. It would, in time, she didn’t doubt this, but for now? Pure.

She gave Aroha a moment to gush, then nodded for her to hop on. ”First thing’s first - safety. Put this on.” She handed her the helmet over her shoulder. Should be a good fit for her, their heads were close enough to the same size.

Once she had that on, Divine reached around, gently seized Aroha’s wrists, and pulled them around her waist, letting the woman’s fingers meet just above her lap. Some asshole passing by whistled their way, but she ignored him and kept the focus on Aroha.

”Hold me tight. A good, strong hug.” She inched back, until their bodies were perfectly spooning. ”And that’s all you. That, and a little trust.” She looked over shoulder with a sly eye. Playful. Wild. ”You do trust me, right?”

"Oooh, got it." Aroha should have been glad Divine's back was turned to her; while she didn't know that staring at the helmet as if it were some alien object, trying to find which way was up, she spared the other wrestler the secondhand embarrassment. Fortunately, she didn't ask, simply turning it over and over until she figured out that the lower parts were for covering her ears and not protecting her cheeks. Only then did she successfully slip it on, even if that was a bit of a challenge with her hands shaking from excitement.

Divine had her by the hands as soon as she had the helmet secure enough that it wouldn't fly off into the night - she thought, anyway. She let out a soft, surprised oop! as the woman pulled her into place, and Aroha, not one ounce of inhibition in her body, briefly let her hands explore to figure out where she should hold on before she clasped them together, figuring Divine didn't want her pulling her pants off if she started to slip. Even with her mind solely on the excitement to come, she nonetheless heard the whistle and whistled back, assuming that was a thing people did. She received knit eyebrows for her trouble, but she only smiled back almost manically.

This was cozy, like tucking together in a bed. Aroha sighed like a contented cow when Divine pressed back against her and let her whole body drape against Divine's back. While she was tempted to use the woman's shoulder as a pillow, she wanted the full experience of the ride and settled for resting her chin on her shoulder instead.

She peered back at Divine as if her question were the easiest one to answer in the world rather than one potentially loaded for an individual she had just met a few minutes earlier. "Yeah! You have been the nicest person I've met since I got here." That was not much of a stretch even if most of LAW's businesspeople had been kind to her, and to Aroha, that merited plenty of trust.

Divine didn’t bother holding back a giggle as Aroha’s hands explored her body - in part because it was funny to see her fumbling about, and in part because she was ticklish as all hell and the woman kept touching her worst spots. Probably not the best thing to reveal to someone she was about to be wrestling with, but here she was. She doubted Aroha would exploit it, and even if she did, all was fair.

Divine nodded at Aroha’s answer - about what she figured, yeah, for better or worse. She’d lucked up tonight and gotten with someone who wouldn’t take advantage of that nature, but she knew it wasn’t meant to last. Sooner or later, this city would find the little gem and get its hands on her, and then…

Dark thoughts, not for the moment. For now, she wanted to show Aroha a good time. ”Good.” She gave her a fleeting wink, then focused forward. ”Just point out the directions to me as we go, okay? And…”

She gave the engine a good roar, making their seats tremble and letting the power flow through them. Her eyes quickly checked around to make sure everything was clear, and then they were off like a shot, hitting the corner and weaving out of the parking lot in a seamless motion.

It had been a good while since Divine had driven with a passenger, so she took it relatively slow, made sure to compensate for the extra weight. Even so, she made sure to give Aroha a show, weaving around traffic as it was safe, giving her the occasional burst of speed, deftly hitting every turn. She leaned forward as her hairs threatened burst free from their confines, loving the feel of the open air against her face. ”Liking it so far?!” She yelled back, her voice barely a whisper over the engine.

If Aroha had thought the helmet was a puzzle, the machine itself was a revelation. The vibration that rumbled up through the seat felt less like a machine and more like a living, breathing beast waking up from a nap - a very loud, very angry beast. Nothing like cars. She gasped, the sound lost in the roar, and instinctively clamped her thighs tighter around the bike, and consequently, around Divine, as they shot forward. It wasn't the fear of falling that gripped her, but the sheer, electrifying shock of going from zero to fast without a windshield.

She had climbed the tallest kauri trees and stared down steep drops without blinking, but this was a different experience - and she hadn't believed anything could beat her first airplane flight. The wind whipped past them, tearing at her clothes and cooling the flush on her skin, but the heat radiating from Divine’s back kept her grounded. It felt wild, chaotic, and absolutely exhilarating. She pressed her chest flat against Divine’s back, feeling the shift of the woman’s muscles as she leaned into the turns. It was what she imagined it was like riding on the back of a hawk, banking and weaving through the river of metal and lights.

Divine's question barely reached her ears over the wind, but the sentiment was clear. Aroha lifted her head from Divine’s shoulder, grinning so wide her cheeks hurt beneath the helmet.

"It's tu meke!", she hollered back, hoping her voice carried forward. "Too much! Like running down a mountain without touching the ground!" Her tone of voice, barely restrained glee, made it clear it was not, in fact, too much.

She did remember she had a job to do, though getting lost while clinging to a warm, beautiful woman didn't seem like the worst fate. She loosened one hand from its death grip on Divine’s waist just long enough to point a trembling finger toward a large, neon-lit intersection ahead.

"Up there! Go left at the big blue lights! Then straight until the road looks less... shiny!" She couldn't guarantee she knew what that meant, either, but she went by the belief that Divine would understand when she saw the road. There was just... less reflecting on it, so less shiny? It made sense in her head.

There was no way Aroha could hear it, but Divine couldn't hold back a laugh as the woman gripped her tight. It was about the reaction she’d expected when she revved up the engine, but it was cute to see it, anyway, and she would be lying if she said she didn’t enjoy the feeling of the islander clinging to her.

She still remembered the first time she’d rode a motorcycle herself - really riding it, not counting all the practice runs where she had to fight for control. There was just something about that power between your legs. Not a purely sexual thing, though that might’ve been a small part of it. More than anything, it was the control, of having this raging beast between your legs, like taming a dragon. She might as well have been straddling a rocket.

Or ‘like running down a mountain without touching the ground’. Good one. ”I like the way you put things!”

Now that she knew Divine was comfortable, she sped up a little and made it more of a ride, deftly weaving through traffic, though she never went anywhere near as wild as she could go. She wasn’t completely unused to riding with a passenger, she’d had to do that a few times back when she was with the gang, but it had been a good while. The last thing she wanted was this night to end in an emergency room.

She nodded at the instruction, then hung a hard left, whipping them around the corner fast enough to burn some rubber. She was quick to stabilize and slow up, though, bringing it back down the legal limit as they neared the decidedly less ‘shiny’ road that she assumed Aroha was talking about.

”Glad I’m making a fan out of you.” Divine brought her voice down as they slowed down for a traffic light, though she gave her engine the occasional jolt to keep Aroha energized. She looed her should and smirked as she wiggled about in the woman’s grip, giving her a teasing grind. ”Want to look into getting one of your own? I know a good shop, could set you up with a fair price. Interested?”

Aroha didn't pull back when Divine wiggled against her; if anything, she stuck to the woman like wet clay. The vibration of the engine idling at the light was already making her teeth buzz, but having Divine grind back against her added a whole new layer of sensory input that Aroha found delightful. Back home, personal space was a suggestion rather than a rule, but this was... different. More exhilarating. She squeezed her arms a fraction tighter around Divine’s waist, watching the lights fly by her vision until she decided she should squeeze her eyes closed.

They popped right back open at Divine's proposition. "One of my own!?" Aroha laughed, the sound making her jerk against Divine's back and become giddy-headed - okay, less laughing. "I think I would hit a tree before I left the driveway! We don't have many roads like this where I'm from. If I wanted to go fast, I had to roll!"

She peered around Divine’s shoulder as the "less shiny" road turned into the slightly run-down street where the league had put her up. It wasn't fancy, but it had a roof. "There! The boxy one with the flickering light!" Her finger lifted to indicate it again, and Aroha suddenly had the strange urge to jump off and try to land on the sidewalk as they neared it. She couldn't explain why.

It was certainly not because she wanted the drive to end. As Divine pulled up to the curb, Aroha... wasn't quite done. Instead of unclasping her hands or so much as considering getting off, minus the weird image her mind had just presented her, she slumped forward, letting all her weight settle against Divine’s back. She kept her thighs clamped tight around the woman’s hips and rested her chin heavily on Divine's shoulder, enjoying the radiating warmth now that the wind had died down.

She also had a minor concern, to be honest.

"My legs are still... mmm... humming," she murmured, her voice sounding a little floaty inside the helmet. "Is that normal? Should I worry about that?"

For her part, Divine did not hate the sensation of the young, pretty islander gripping her like some sort of sexy koala bear. While she had no shortage of intimate contact in her life, this was a different sort of thing. It had been a good, long while since she’d had someone embrace her like this. Warm. Trusting. Innocent. Not since…

…hm. Honestly, she couldn't even remember the last time.

It was certainly a welcome change of pace, and it widened her smile even as they pulled into a grimier side of the city. Relatively speaking, at least. In Divine’s eyes, even the dirtiest alley in Tokyo was still a far cry from some of the slums she’d found herself in growing up, well above those low standards.

”Hey, don’t knock it ‘till you’ve tried it.” She called back as she pulled over for their final destination and threw out the kickstand. ”You’re going to have to learn how to drive eventually if you want to get around in this city. You might as well do it in style.” It was a hard sell, she knew, but the image of them both driving about the streets was just too tempting. She had to try at least and make it a reality.

It took her a moment to realize that Aroha was still clinging to her, taking her sweet time before she disembarked. Not that Divine minded it in the least. She was more than happy to stay like this for as long the islander wanted.

The comment about her legs drew Divine’s attention, not that she needed much excuse to look down at them. ”Are they, now? Let us see.” Divine reached down and ran her hand over Aroha’s thigh, sliding it along for a caress—a soft, supple touch. Nothing too invasive, just trying to probe for her reaction. ”It feels fine to me. I’m sure it’ll pass. Though, I could look at it more closely, if you like.”

She looked over her shoulder and met Aroha’s eyes through the helmet. Her gaze was curious, her tone was low, straddling the thin line between suggestive and assertive. She was more than happy to take this night in any direction, but only if she was comfortable going there with her.

Aroha took a moment to genuinely consider the proposition of "doing it in style." She looked at the dashboard of the machine, which seemed to have more buttons than the only computer back in her village, and then at the chaotic intersection they had just passed. While the idea of zooming around with the wind in her hair (and hopefully not bugs in her teeth) was appealing, she suspected her coordination was better suited for grappling sweaty opponents than navigating metal giants through traffic.

"You have a lot of faith in me!" she laughed, the sound vibrating inside the helmet as the bike finally leaned onto its kickstand. "I think my 'style' would look a lot like a woman accidentally driving into a fountain. I might leave the rocketing to the professionals like you, ey?"

Besides, if her body still felt like this after she heard the engine die, she might be concerned for her long-term health. The motorized rumbling ended beneath her butt but not in her bones. And when Divine reached back, Aroha didn't flinch, genuinely hoping the woman could find the reason for the vibrating. She watched through her visor as the hand slid over her bare thigh. Divine's fingers felt cool against her skin, a sharp contrast to the heat radiating from the engine and their bodies, and Aroha could feel the lines where they had traced through the continued bone-rumbling. She quite liked it, and it held her fascination.

She leaned into the caress instinctively, her muscles twitching slightly beneath Divine's palm. The offer to "look at it more closely" sounded entirely practical to the Kiwi, too. If Divine rode this beast often, surely she knew how to fix the side effects.

"It feels fine to you?" Aroha asked, her voice tinged with genuine relief as she met Divine's eyes through the helmet. "That's good. I thought maybe I had rattled something loose inside. If you know how to stop the buzzing, you can do whatever you need! It feels like I have a hive of bees in my knees."

First, though, she imagined they should... get off the motorcycle. She felt unbalanced on it as it was now that it had stopped moving.

"Okay, I think we get... down first, though." She leaned her head down, only for their helmets to bump against each other, though she barely noticed. Aroha watched her own movements like the motorcycle would buck like a bronco while she finally unclamped her legs, though her inner thighs protested the loss of warmth. She swung one leg over the seat with a bit more enthusiasm than grace, aiming for the sidewalk. Her sandals hit the concrete, and for a second, she felt triumphant - until the "bees" in her knees decided to swarm. Her legs wobbled precariously, threatening to fold right there on the street corner.

She let out a sharp, surprised yelp and instinctively grabbed for the nearest sturdy object: Divine, a hand slapping on her shoulder and one on her back.

"Whoops! Okay, more problems," she chirped, clutching until she could slam both feet into the concrete to make sure they still worked. "The ground isn't moving, but my legs think it is. I might need that inspection sooner rather than later."
