Valerie not answering her phone was extremely odd, hence Valley’s heightened worrying. Her daughter was, generally, the more responsible of the siblings, almost to a fault. She was the one who always called when she was out late, who was always messaged her when she was supposed to, who always followed the rigid schedule. If anything - and she would never tell her daughter this - she could be a little boring, at times. A little rebellion here and there could be healthy.

For her to go off the grid like this was rare. Unheard of. But when the nurse told her that Kyo had been spotted talking to another wrestler, specific gears began to turn in her mind. This area of the building was oddly quiet and remote, the perfect place for certain activities.

”Ah, Makie?” Valley followed after Kyo. ”Maybe we shouldn’t rush in…”

She had the strange inclination that an extremely awkward moment was approaching at high speeds.

Unfortunately, by that point Makie was already reaching for the door.

"Hey Kyo, are you in here--"

She froze. Kyo was indeed in here, and so was Valerie. And they were both in varying degrees of undress and busy doing something intimate on the examination bed of the room.

Red-faced, Makie hurriedly closed the door, and turned around to face Valley.

"Umm....I think we should give them time to...um...recover," she said sheepishly.

Awkward. Yes, this was, to put it in the mildest way imaginable, awkward.

One would think that a mother might have some problems with her daughter having wild sex in the infirmary with a man she hadn't even met personally. While Valley wasn’t exactly crazy about her daughter’s choice of location, and she could’ve done without hearing the sounds, she knew she wasn’t one to judge. After all, she had gotten up to more than her fair share of indecent adventures with her partner when she was coming up, and those liaisons ultimately led to Valerie being born.

This was LAW. Such things happened. And she was happy to know that Valerie had finally found someone special - her daughter wouldn’t be doing this unless she had found someone quite special. Plus, the chances of her getting grandbabies was rising significantly.

So the appropriate course of action was to give them space, and space she would happily give. ”Agreed.” Valley waved Makie and started to move in the opposite direction. ”Come on, there’s a place nearby where we can talk and have some dinner. I find myself suddenly wanting to know a lot more about you and your brother…”

Makie brightened at Valley Doll's suggestion, momentarily forgetting about accidentally eavesdropping on Kyo and Valerie (and honestly, Makie was privately quite impressed that her prim-and-proper brother was actually having sex in the infirmary in the first place). Given that those two had been staring dreamily at one another from day one, they absolutely deserved some space.

"Agreed, lead the way!" Makie replied. "Plus I have so many questions to ask, about your matches with my dad, about your title run, about that one crazy match you had against--"

Yes, it was definitely better just to leave them be.
