Re: Tournament and event threads
You keep calling me MD, a name that doesn't exist here so thats already a mark against you. and you keep trying to downplay the actual issue, if put to a vote yes we should do the event and find a way to make it work, we don't not do it because your burnt out and don't think it can work.

Re: Tournament and event threads
.........I can't stand having to argue against you. Who cares what I call you? I met you as MD. You're MD to me. And Jesus! There;s no mark against me. You are just impossible to talk to. You only take bits of pieces of what people say and don't take it as a whole. it's not just that I don't think it can work. Its not working. I can see it. If it was working this thread wouldn't of been made. Now stop making me the bad guy by "Down playing the real issue" because I'm done arguing with you and posting in this thread.

Re: Tournament and event threads
I defienitly don't take bits and pieces of what people say, this thread wasnt about tournaments and events being a failure, it was noob going and giving us his opinion how they should be handled (Which is with caution and with a bit more priority then other random threads) That doesn't really have anything to do with the events failing, especially cause the Heavyweight one is going fine for right now, yeah everyone who made a match didnt finish it but it hasn't hurt the thing overall and the Quarterfinals are going by well enough.

Re: Tournament and event threads
Your both acting with the maturity of children arguing over stupid stuff in a thread about events when Noob was looking to offer advice, (Albeit ranting advice)

Re: Tournament and event threads
Simmer down folks, this thread has expanded past what it was originally meant to be and now just seems to be breeding hostility. This thread is now closed, I hope those agitated from what was said can either sort out their issues or just keep unproductive arguments between themselves, I recommend that the next time people have a personal disagreement, they don't broadcast it in an open discussion despite the temptation to do so.

Re: Tournament and event threads
Context completely mashed up, but anyway.
Agree completely with noob. This ain't a job, but it certainly is not fun when people agree to stuff they can't/won't commit to. Some users have joined events when they don't even post in general, so no clue what's even happening there. I'll be running Toyko Brawl soon, and I'd rather have four active people over twenty flaky ones.

Re: Tournament and event threads
Haven't found time to comment on this but I wanted to say that I understand the concerns regarding user inactivity stalling events. I want to say that we've handled it well so far when it has happened, in that events thus far haven't stalled because of 1 or 2 users. Sure it has been annoying for some people, and I totally understand and respect that, but on the bright side, at least it hasn't compromised any event thus far. While I can't promise that inactivity won't be an issue we face, I can do my best to help lessen the impact of inactivity when it does occur.
I want to take a second to remind everyone about the rules. Please note that stagnating events by repeatedly dropping out without prior notice or repeatedly stalling without prior notice (especially while actively posting elsewhere) can and will result in being restricted from future official LAW events. If this happens, you will be asked to complete the matches in the events you entered before participating in future official events.
