Ami was already getting under his skin and the match had just started. Having the mental advantage was important because the more annoyed he was against her, the more likely it was that he would make a careless mistake. Chasing her when she was behind the referee was just one, she was sure there was more to come. She would let out her maniacal side after sending a kick to his face, laughing and taunting him rather viciously. Her smile faded away and she cocked her hip to the side, tilted and said "Eh? Oh...I forgot you can speak Japanese" she said, almost sounding disgusted and a little embarrassed that he understood what she said.

It did not matter though, it was time to push on. She grabbed him and whipped him to the opposite set of ropes and when he bounced back towards her, she attempted to leap up and nail him with a dropkick. Only this time, he would sidestep her attack and then catch her before she could fall to the ground. "W-what the?! Damn you, let me go, let me go!" she said, slapping and punching his shoulder while he walked her towards the ropes.

"Nononono dont you dare! Put me down!" she said before being thrown over the ropes and down to the arena floor. Ami screamed out in pain as her body hit the floor, she would immediately roll over and push up to her knees, clutching her back before falling down to her side while moaning in agony from the harsh drop.

"I've been in this country for, like, half a decade. Of course I speak Japanese."

To be fair, she wasn’t the first person to assume that about him, though he could never understand why. Was it really just because he gave off the whole ‘big dumb brute’ aura? It wasn’t like he did dumb stuff all the time or anything. He picked up Japanese quicker than he learned English.

Whatever, just one more thing to add to the long list of things that she was wrong about, along with what she thought was going to happen when she tried that dropkick. Reality could be a harsh mistress, and so could gravity.

Army did put her down, just not in the way Ami would’ve liked - instead, she came down for a harsh crash outside of the ring. She was tougher than she put on most of the time, so he knew she could take it, and besides: it was funny as hell. Gave him a great opening, too. Speaking of…

Instead of immediately giving chase, Army backed up and slipped on the ropes on the opposite side of the ring. He peered her way from under the bottom rope, waited until he could see her starting to rise, then went into motion. He took off in a sprint around the ring, using the extra space to build up momentum, turned one corner and then another, and was moving at full speed by the time Ami was back in sight. With a full head of steam, he shot his arm out, swung it wide, and tried to clobber Ami with a lariat.

He did make a good point and now that she thought about it for more than a couple of seconds, she swore she remembered him speaking Japanese before. Regardless, now was not the time to be dwelling on this. She had more important things to do, like one-up her rival. She was sure that she did not need anyone to defeat Army, but just in case she always did have an ace up her sleeve or an insurance policy if you may.

When Army threw her over the top rope and dumped her onto the arena floor, she was wishing that she would cash that insurance policy right now but the time wasn't just right. Plus, she had a lot more left in her. Contrary to belief and what Ami might tell everyone, she wasn't a delicate flower as most believed. Slowly but surely, she would push herself back up to her feet. Having Army not follow up on his advantage could only mean one thing, that big lug was trying to act clever with something.

Watching around the ringside, she caught a glimpse of him running around the corners of the ring to pick up speed. Classic brainless muscle head move. Ami would steady herself and wait for him to get a little closer. The supermodel would play possum and pretend she didn't know or could not move in time. However, just before he could clobber her with his arm extended, she would duck under it and get behind him to grab the back of his guide and guide his pathway towards the outside ring post, looking to send him crashing into it!

Army probably should’ve known better than to try something like this on Ami. One of her biggest strengths was her ability to turn a bad situation back in her favor. She might’ve looked like a waif and dressed like a high-class stripper, but the woman could take a hit, and she’d come back from beatings to mess him up more than a few times.

Call it bravado, call it hubris, call it just not wanting to spend more time wrestling than he had to, but he was eager to move in and press his advantage, rushing around the ring to clobber her at high speeds. In his defense, it was close to working…right up until the moment she ducked down and narrowly avoided him, leaving him with nothing but air to hit.

Army tried to swivel around, but it was already too late - she pushed him forward, made him stumble, and he found himself smacking against the ring post for a nasty hit, one that left him seeing stars. It wasn’t enough to make him fall, but he was left stumbling back, shaking his head and muttering all manner of multilingual curses to himself.

The saying 'Dont judge a book by its cover' stood true when it came to many aspects of Ami. Whether it applied to her personality and/or wrestling ability, both aspects would fit perfectly to that very saying. She took a moment on the outside to get her act together, formulate a plan but she had to think quickly because she had a very angry Army looking to charge at her and attempt to clobber her. The ever so nimble supermodel would just act in time and would swivel out of Army's way, grabbing the back of his head and changing his trajectory towards the post.

His head smacked against the post and he was left cursing in pain, stumbling backwards but quite impressively stayed on his feet. Ami bit her lower teeth and frowned, she didn't appreciate the fact that Army didn't take to the floor. "Tch, did you really think that stupid move would work on me?" she chastised him. At first she thought about going for a German suplex, looking to slam the back of his head and shoulder against the arena floor to really shake him up but thought against it. It wouldn't be the smart thing to do and she had to play her to strengths.

Instead, she would look to dive down low and attempt to strike the back of his knee with her shoulders in order to take him down to the floor-where she would truly have the advantage over him. Meanwhile, the referee had already started the count for a count-out. "One....Two.....Three.....".

And here Army was again. Things could just never be simple when it came to wrestling Ami, the woman was always up to some shit, and the trick was figuring out what her thing for the day was and dealing with it. In this case, he only really had himself to blame, should’ve known better than to fall into her little trap and get suckered, but that was the effect she could have on people. The woman was just so damned annoying, he was in a hurry to shut her up.

It cost him, big time, as she used his momentum against him and made him kiss the ring post. It left him stunned and staggering, and true to form, she didn’t miss the opportunity to twist the knife, as she went low and drove her shoulder into his knee.

This was familiar, he’d been here before. Ami was good at whittling away at her opponent, taking you out by pieces. If he let her go far enough, she’d wear him down to the point where his strength advantage wouldn’t count for shit. He needed to press after her, and he needed to do it now.

He went down to one knee, but instead of staying there and wallowing in the pain, he lashed out and spun with her arm, trying to catch her in the face with a quick backfist.

Being annoying was one of her strengths. It was always an advantage when you get your opponent angry enough for them to start making mistakes in the match, forcing them to wrestle without thinking straight. It also did not take too much effort to annoy Army either, which is why he would always fall for the same old tricks. She did have to admit though, where he lacked the brain power to go toe to toe against her in the battle of wits, his noggin certainly was tough because he stood up on his feet despite being shoved head first into the steel post.

It didn't matter too much though because the bluenette would soon cut him down to size by going in low and driving her shoulder into the back of his knee to take him down. Once again, Army did well not to go down completely. The man would only shift down to one knee while Ami would get back up to her feet, hands on her hips while raising her eyebrow. "Eh?! Still not done yet huh well we can fix tha-Gaaaahh!!" she cried out as he spun around and smacked her face with a spinning backfist strike.

Ami would shriek in pain while clutching her face, forced to back up against the crowd barricade!. While it was true Ami was good at angering people, she was also notorious to have a bad temper and it didn't take much to get her angry as well. "Y-You absolute meathead. How dare you hit my FACE!" she yelled, pushing off the barricade and rushing at him, going for a big boot!

If there was one thing about Ami that Army admired, she could be consistently annoying. If they brought out belts for that sort of thing, she would be the undisputed champion. She would win awards. In all of his time as both a wrestler and a boxer, he had never come across someone so adept at pissing people off in such a short amount of time.

Hm. Maybe ‘admired’ wasn’t the right word for it. ‘Extremely hated’, that would work better.

Whatever the case, she was good at it, and she knew how to use it to her advantage, hence the current kettle of fish that Army found himself in. Of course, Army was no slouch when it came to pissing people off, too, and he had some experience with getting under Ami’s. Needless to say, he hadn't targeted her face by accident.

Sure enough, he found his target and she responded by going ballistic. Her turned around to see her coming his way fast, raising up those long legs of her to deliver a Big Boot.

Not happening. He ducked, let the blow pass overhead, then reached out and pulled her other leg over his shoulder, hoisting up as he rose to his feet. He kept her there, legs around his head, as he spun about, lurched forward, and attempted to slam her on the side of the ring with an Apron Powerbomb.

It was truly not a difficult thing to piss the bluenette off. She was the classic "could dish it out, but can't take it" type of girl but it wasn't anything that Army said that royally pissed her off but the fact that he targeted her beautiful face. His arm swung back and struck her face, causing her to stagger back against the barricade while becoming absolutely livid at her opponent. Not thinking twice about what she wanted to do, the supermodel would lash out at her opponent and attempt a running big boot to try and knock him down.

It turned out to be a big mistake, as Army would duck under her leg and then swoop down to grab her other leg over his shoulder and pull her up over his shoulders. "Whoa?! Oh no, nononono" she said, panicking a bit. The referee, meanwhile, continued his count. "Four....Five.....Six". The spoiled princess knew she was in trouble but if Army thought it would be that easy to take her down, than he was seriously underestimating her.

Ami would grab his hair and tighten her legs around his head and shoulders as she began to swing her body to the side and use her strong legs to her advantage, countering his attempts for a powerbomb and turning it into a hurricanrana, looking to swing and shove him into the steel steps!

”Gotcha, bitch!”

It just wouldn’t be an Armando Rodriguez match without a copious amount of powerbombs, and he was looking to fulfill his quota a little earlier than usual. Ami was always fun to powerbomb, and he was in particular looking to reaction to getting spiked on the ‘hardest part of the ring’, figuring that might just be enough to take her out and score the early win.

Alas, such things were not to be. He felt the shift in weight as he brought her down and tried to counteract, but she was too quick on the draw this time - he was going up and over and getting sent flying, going headlong into the steel steps.

Army managed to get his hands up and absorb some of the blow, but it was still nasty work. The metal steps went flying and he wiped out beside, landing in a heap on the other side. With a groan that was equal parts frustration and pain, he began the arduous, thankless task of pushing himself up again.
