Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
Though they’d only fought for about two minutes, Bebe was already getting a good measure of the woman she was dealing with, and it painted the picture of a methodical, practiced sort of woman, more clinical in her approach than most would’ve guessed from a simple glance at her imposing form. It would have been far too easy to pigeonhole someone with that size as an unthinking oaf, but she seemed to have more focus than that, showing considerable poise and form when she fought, wisely waiting for an opening to present itself before she lashed out.
She was a giant, yes, but the sort of giant who would’ve been dangerous even if she were smaller. The worst kind to fight.
She also had a mean kick, so Bebe’s first priority was dealing with that, and her low roundhouse was successful in that manner - somewhat.
It landed and stumbled the giantess, but not quite as much as it would’ve with a normal opponent. Most times, Bebe would’ve had an opening to follow up on, as her foe tried to regain proper footing. Marcelina, on the other hand, had the advantage of being a living tank - as such, she was ready when Bebe came stepping in, and had a kick of her own waiting.
There was no time to avoid it, not at this range, so Bebe did the next best thing and raised up her leg to meet it, taking it on the shin instead of her meatier leg. It was still far from pleasant, and the end result had her stumbling back, nearly falling to a knee. It would’ve been easy, too easy to fall back after an attack like that, but she’d already seen what retreating got her with Marcelina. She had to keep coming in, despite how dangerous it might've been.
Bebe was only on the backfoot for a second before she moved in again for another try. She leap into range and whipped her leg out for a snap kick aimed at Marcelina’s chest, then brought the other leg up an instant later to throw the same kick at her head, trying to keep the offense up and target two levels.

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
Unfortunately for Marceline, though she wasn't particularly surprised, Bebe managed to get her left leg up for a shin block. This was part of why she went for a side kick in the first place, a front kick blocked by this means had a way of getting one's toes jammed, which was always painful. Another benefit to the side kick, apart from the added power, was the fact meant leaning back while throwing it, keeping her head and torso largely out of the way, just in case Bebe managed to get off a kick slightly before her. However, she hadn't, managed that at all, instead Marceline's kick sent the woman stumbling back. She considered taking the oppertunity to rush into punching range, but she decided against it, instead bracing to counter the kick that she knew was coming.
When Bebe's kick toward her chest came, Marceline was was ready. with her arms still up in a high guard, she was quickly able to use one hand to grab the foot and pull it against her chest. Madame Guillotine thought that she had caught Bebe making a devastating mistake, all she had to do with her other arm was to bring her elbow down hard and above her Bebe's knee while still holding on to it. Marceline had broken other girls' legs this way always earning a distinct squeal. For very quick moment she assumed that Bebe would be next.
"Eyrrrrrgh."
There was a squeal, but it was Marceline's.
Before the frenchwoman could bring down the metaphorical guillotine, Bebe's other's foot came flying up toward her head, smashing into her chin and violently snapping her head back. On one hand, it was a good thing for her that she was able to let out a squeal, because it meant that she hadn't been dealt an embarrassingly early knockdown by a woman nearly a foot shorter than her. But on the other hand, she squeeled because the kick hurt, badly. She had let go of Bebe's leg and stumbled backwards, toward the steel steps behind her, holding her chin and slightly bent over, her eyes closed in pain. This was the third impact it had already taken in this match. Did this woman want to break her jaw? Up to this point, probably not, the previous two strikes were not particularly targeted. But now it was clear that Marceline was hurting, it wasn't unlikely that she'd target it for more punishment. This kick, more than anything Bebe had landed before, made it clear to Madame Gullotine that if she wasn't careful, Bebe had it in her to not only knock her out, but badly hurt her.

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
Right on target.
You wouldn’t be able to tell with the fierce expression that Bebe wore, but she was breathing a sigh of relief after that kick landed, more than satisfied with the impact she got off it. It was hard just to hit an opponent that high up, even for her, and she was worried that her opponent would be able to react in time to avoid or counter the kicks, or they’d just miss outright. When Marcelina grabbed her leg, she was sure that the worst was about to happen. Fortunately for her, that didn’t turn out to be the case, and she scored her best hit of the match so far.
Good impact, a perfect landing, and the look on her opponent’s face would’ve told the story if her outburst hadn't. That one had hurt her. It was a small relief, but one she welcomed.
Now, she just had to do something with it.
She could’ve just kicked Marcelina, could’ve just hit her with some kind of move, could’ve done a number of things. But with her hurting and bent over, Bebe saw a good opportunity to try something more unorthodox. Striking this woman wasn’t enough to put her down, but that wasn’t the only way her legs could deal damage to an opponent.
Bebe ran towards her opponent, but instead of coming at her with another strike, she leaped towards her foe’s side, and came down for a sit on the ring apron. She reached out, grabbed Marcelina’s head, and pulled it in between her open legs, planting the back of her head onto her lap. From there, it was a simple matter of pulling her legs into the figure-four position and putting on the pressure, trapping Madame Guillotine with a submission move that put her high leg strength to good use - a figure-four headlock, or the Garrotte, as she liked to call it.

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
Marceline, having closed her eyes to try and collect herself from the pain of Bebe's kick, half expected that upon opening them, she'd see Bebe's foot heading directly to her face. When she did open them, that was not quite the case, instead the woman had leapt on the ring apron and managed to wrap her powerful legs around her throat. No matter how big, durable and tough someone was, their necks were more or less always equally vulnerable. Increases in power between competitors just mean't that the consequences of attacks to the neck just became more severe. Its part of what made them always such a tantalizing target and it was also part of why the move being executed against her was so ironically terrifying. This is what she did to other women, it wasn't want happened to her!
To use a submission move in a knockout match was always pretty cruel. If Marceline couldn't get her off, there would be no taping out, Bebe would hold until she got tired, or Marceline passed out. The former was highly unlikely. Sure, Marceline had managed to batter the woman's chest, but she had done more or less nothing to her legs and the match hadn't gone on for all that long. Bebe's legs were fresh and strong, if any of the two happened, it'd be the latter. Passing out from this position hold would be anything but peaceful.
The strength of Bebe's legs operating at their peak were doing more than cutting off her air, they were crushing her neck. Her holding on to it until the referee ruled Marceline unconscious could mean long term, if not permanent injure. The Texan could end her career in LAW the day it started. That still didn't account for what it meant to lose consciousness from this upright position. Unless Bebe caught her, she could drop to the padded concrete without breaking her fall. Never-mind that Bebe could ensure that was the outcome with little more than a subtle shove. Whatever happened, Madame Guillotine needed to get Bebe off to avoid anything but a horrible end.
So why was it then, despite all this, When Marceline used her strength to lift off the apron and stand away from it, with Bebe on her head, rather than attempt to pry the smaller woman off, she reached to grab her body and make sure that she stayed where she was? It was because out of the corner of her eyes, Marceline had seen the solution to her quandary and she was eager to use Bebe putting her at incredible risk to do something utterly devastating to her. They were right beside a set of steel steps that lead to the ringside. Weighed down by her opponent though she was, growing ever more starved of Oxygen, Marceline turned away from steel steps and begun to crouch and take a few steps backward. As though she were being brought down by Bebe's Garrotte, which to an extent, she was. But with all of her strength, while she had her hands up, holding on to Bebe, she sprung upward while falling backwards. She had moved closely enough that Bebe's head, if not her neck, would be clear of impacting with the steel steps. Madame Guillotine had no intention of knocking Bebe out with this maneuver, she wanted her conscious and screaming for every bit of excruciating pain she was about to feel!

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
Bebe was still fairly new to in-ring wrestling, but she’d had the benefit of siblings with a long history in the business, and they’d given her some good pointers, helping her beef up her repertoire with enough actual wrestling moves to get by. Submission moves proved to be the weirdest addition, though, tapping into a kind of fighting that she was wholly unfamiliar with. It was her brother, Tommy, who’d suggested using the figure-four headlock as a signature move, figuring it would be a good way to capitalize on her immense leg strength. She’d seen it as a bit too gimmicky at first, thinking of it as something out of a James Bond movie. Too silly, too kinky.
She was properly convinced when she put him in it and knocked him out in ten seconds.
Granted, he hadn't been fighting her at the time, just demonstrating, but it was still a notable feat, and one she was hoping to replicate with Marcelina. So far, the results looked promising. Marcelina was an inch or two taller than her brother, but just as heavy, so if she could bring him down with this, than it should work on her, too. She just had to hold on, power down, and squeeze with everything she had.
That was the plan, anyway, and she’d thought it was a damn good one…until Marcelina pulled away from the apron and started to walk away with her hoisted up on her shoulders, as if giving her the world’s most uncomfortable, unwanted piggyback ride. Bebe waved her arms about in a wild bid to maintain balance, as she was suddenly very much aware of how tall this woman was and the fact that her head was an uncomfortable distance from the ground. This was perilous, and there were so many ways it could go wrong that she didn't want to contemplate.
For a golden moment, it seemed like Bebe was in the clear. Her opponent was sagging, falling to her knees, looked like she might be going all the way out. That motion of elation turned to dust, however, when she started to fall back, and Bebe had enough time to look behind her and see what she was falling towards.
”No-”
Her back hit the steps hard, driving down right on the steel points, and Bebe went flopping away to the side with a shriek. She rolled a couple of times and wound up lying on her chest near the barricade, kicking her feet and writhing on the ground while she dealt with the intense, burning pain.

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
While planning was always important, nothing beat knowing how to seize opportunities as they present themselves. In fact, the best plans were those that produced one options rather than simply targets. Marceline started to match barring down on Bebe with a flurry of punches to make the taekwondo practitioner uncomfortable. Sure, she'd had preferred if one or more of the first series connected, but they served the function of forcing her opponent against the ropes, which allowed Marceline to throw an uppercut that would land. But she didn't limit herself to swarming boxing, or even the ring. She instead took the opportunity to Cannon Boot Bebe out of the ring, hoping that in addition to having to endure the kick, the head over heels tumble would have led to an awkward landing on padded concrete. While the fall wasn't as injurious as planned, it did disorient Bebe and place her in front of an announcement table, which she could tackle her into. While next, Marceline would try to fling into Bebe into a barricade, her interruption of the swing put her in a position to kick Bebe from behind into the same barricade. Getting kicked in the chin sent Marceline painfully to the ground, sure, but it made her priority staying outside of the ring, figuring there'd be more opportunities to harm Bebe's legs.
So when Bebe won their short exchange of kicks and chose to go for a neck crushing submission move, Marceline was able to deliver the most painful attack of the match. Had this fight remained in the ring and Marceline ended up kicked into the turnbuckle instead, Bebe might have still had the opportunity to apply her Garrotte, leaving Marceline with no other option than to hope that a fall to the mat would dislodge her. If that hadn't worked, it could have very easily been the end of the match for her. Instead, Marceline got the opportunity to aquaint Bebe's back with the cold, hard, pointed steel edges of the ringside steps by means of a seven-foot drop. Her vocalized protest on the way down mean't she saw what was coming as was fearful on the way down. Madame Guillotine hoped the recognition came too late for Bebe to brace herself. After the impact and the oh so satisfying shriek from Bebe, Marceline got to her feet while still rubbing her neck. She didn't have trouble breathing, of course, but her neck was still considerably sore. That didn't stop her from recognizing another opportunity, as the Frenchwoman made her way toward Texan, who was rolling around in agony.
"How's that ribcage doing? Clearly not bad enough!"
Bebe had just so happened to roll on to her chest, so now, standing behind her, it seemed it'd be relatively easy for Marceline to execute her signature Boulevard Breaker, pulling Bebe up by her arms from behind and stomping on her back, surely doing even more harm to the smaller woman's back and chest.
If that worked, Madame Guillotine's next move would be to drag Bebe up right by her hair and prop against the barricade, at which point she'd attempt a modified Revolutionary Coup aimed at Bebe's chest. Perhaps it'd be more advised to aim for the head for an improved chance of a clean knockout, but at this point even if it lengthened the match, Marceline figured that causing Beatrice to pass out from pure pain would send a stronger debut message, never-mind being more fun.

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
Oh. There was nothing like getting slammed back-first into steel steps to really make one regret their choices in life, was there?
Bebe was certainly rethinking a few things at the moment, as she wallowed in pain on the floor. Yes, it had been her father’s dying wish for her to try out wrestling for a year, but she was fairly certain he didn’t wish for her to get slammed into steel steps and nearly get her spine wrecked. She could tell that nothing was truly broken back there, thank God, but the damage went deep all the same. It felt as if someone had taken a hammer to her bones, which wasn’t too far from the truth, come to think of it.
Even with all the pain, she still had the presence of mind to know that her time was short, and that her opponent would be moving in for the kill in short order. She tried to push her way up, only to fail halfway and plop back down, too hurt to get higher than a foot off the ground. It wasn’t a debilitating hit, she could still fight, but her body needed some precious recovery time. Just a few seconds.
She knew it, and it must’ve been obvious enough for Marcelina to figure it out, too, because she clearly smelled blood. She moved in, coming over Bebe’s dowed form, and reached over to snatch up her arms. The taekwonista struggled in her grasp, trying to squirm free, but there was just no avoiding what was coming - not before Marcelina stomped down on her back and rammed her chest and face into the floor, drilling her into the mat with resounding force.
The impact left Bebe groggy and groaning, her world filled with a haze, easy prey as her opponent continued the assault. Bebe’s was hefted up, dragged, and propped against the barricade, where she stayed - right up until the moment her opponent lashed out with a hellish spinning kick that rammed her into the unforgiving metal. Her body whipped into it, coming off with a glazed look in her eyes, before she slumped down to the mat in a lifeless heap.
Awake, still? Yes. But only barely.

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
Marceline, was loving this. Early in her childhood, fighting was just something she did to defend herself,as a lanky girl with a target on her back, until a spiteful girl with training decided to break her arm. That, After, she'd train in Savate and head to the gym. She got into a few brawls after that but they soon dried up, It was one thing to target a lanky teen, it was another to fight a young amazon.
Yet Marceline found that she enjoyed these fights, the application of vicious force to those that'd do the same to her if they had the chance was exhilarating. So she got into a variety of martial arts competitions and eventually Mixed Martial Arts. But none of them had the freedom to harm one's foe as the right Match in LAW would allow her. This was such a match.
The slam on the steps had done much to hurt Bebe, but if she had the energy to kick, shriek and roll she had the energy to fight. Marceline couldn't allow the match to turn back in Bebe's favor after what she had done to her. If the Texan had any reservations on doing how much harm she did to the Frenchwoman, they had likely been lost to a desire for revenge. Between her powerful legs and the stipulations of the match, a Bebe back on offense would have more than enough of an oppertunity and ability to severely hurt her.
So Marceline had to deliver the coup de grâce sooner rather than later, even if she'd do it by attacking Bebe's torso instead if her head When she went to execute her Boulevard Breaker, the struggle that Bebe put up, even out of desperation, confirmed the necessity of putting her down before she could fight back, so she made sure executed a distinct stomp in Bebe's back with the move rather than simply shoving down to the mat.
The curb stomp had the effect she was looking for, Bebe was too dazed to put up any resistance to being manipulated into an upright position that'd leave her vulnerable to taking a spinning heel kick to the chest. Take it she did, as the kick sent her back hard into the metal barricade behind her, before she crumpled to the ground
It was possible that Bebe was just out, but Marceline was never one to wait for a count if she didn't have to. The referee was going to have to save Bebe.
Marceline bent over, hoping that Bebe was at least conscious enough to hear her:
"I haven't forgotten your neck, petite rousse!"
Next, Marceline would attenpt to lift Bebe on to her shoulders for a fireman's carry. Then, turning to face a camera, she'd perform
subtly attempting to move her knee so the back Bebe's head, or possibly even her neck, would impact it on her way down. Afterwards, Madame Guillotine would immediately get in position to attempt one of her submission finishers, The Lady's Necktie, forcing Bebe's shoulders back with her legs while yanking on her neck with incredible force!

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
The referee was close by, looking on with a mix of worry and expectation. His job for this match was limited - most times, the job was all about staying out of the wrestler’s way, counting them out, being on the lookout for submission. Today, his job consisted of one thing and one thing only - ringing the bell after one of the combatants was knocked out.
It looked like that time was coming soon, too, after Bebe wound up taking a hellish spin kick that rammed her against the barricade and left her slumping against the metal. She didn’t move for a moment, instead laying there like a puppet with cut strings. Unfeeling and silent, unmoving and unresponsive. It appeared like Bebe was out for a second, and the referee was on the verge of calling it, even raising his hands to declare Marcelina the winner.
That attitude changed when he saw the flicker in her eyes, the brief burst of life and realization. She was awake and alive, still conscious. Though he wasn’t sure how long that was going to last, given who was approaching her.
Bebe’s thoughts were along similar lines, as she dealt with all the pain coming from her aching body. Marcelina had a way of piling things on in short, unloading one destructive move after the next, and while she’d done her best to keep up and survive, there was only so much she could hope to withstand, in the end. She was reaching the end of her rope.
She knew it was only going to get worse when Marcelina hoisted her up on her shoulder, lifting her with frightening ease and keeping her aloft. Bebe was no heavyweight, but she was far from a lightweight, and Marcelina carried her like she was a child. No stress, no hesitation, no restraint. Just up and over, easy.
And then down. Down hard.
Bebe was brought crashing to the floor, with her neck getting the worst of it, taking a rough on Marcelina’s knee. A hoarse croak came from her throat on the impact, a garbled scream, and her hand went straight to her neck as she thrashed about, reeling as pain coursed through her body like lightning.
It wasn’t over, either, as Marcelina descended on her a moment later. Long, thick arms wrapped around her body and strong hands pulled at her neck, cranking it hard and putting even more pressure on one of the worst places to have it. Bebe couldn't help from crying out and tapping, even though she knew it wouldn’t get her anywhere, working on pure reflex despite her higher senses.
Madame Guillotine? The name was starting to make more sense.

Re: Outclassed - Beatrice ‘Bebe’ Gunn vs. Marcelina Gagnon
Lifting Bebe up on to her shoulders came with no significant resistance, allowing her to show off to the cameras with stoic expression on her face, as if what she was about to do the Bebe was nothing but routine. On the way down, she felt her knee connecting with the back of her victim's neck along with the fact that the damage was such that Bebe struggled to even scream in response. Marceline would have been satisfied with clipping her head, but the neck was a welcome bonus, especially since it carried less of a risk of just knocking her out on the spot before Madame Guillotine could apply her submission hold. The referee was watching closely having nothing else to do but signal a knockout.
Something he obviously couldn't signal as the lively and therefore obviously conscious redhead thrashed around and held her neck. In this state it was to apply the Lady's Necktie to the smaller woman with no formal resistance. As she held, Bebe began to cry out and tap. That would do nothing tell help her cause, which at this point wasn't to resist, but simply it end the match, only harm it. Madame Guillotine considered mocking her struggle, telling her that'd it be better for her own sake to attempt to go limp.
Not that doing so would be easy or even possible considering the pain. In any case, as Napoleon said, one shouldn't interrupt one's enemy as they were making a mistake. Madame Guillotines' aim remained knocking the bebe out by means of sheer pain, rather than suffocation or a blow to the head. To that end, with her hands grasping Bebe's neck, she made no effort to choke her. Marceline would just continue to pull on Bebe's neck with terrifying force untill she passed out. If she injured Bebe's neck in doing so, that was the her problem, not Marceline's, if anything, such an occurrence would be a great way to solidify her reputation as Madame Guillotine in her debut match. Marceline had no sympathy for the girl, the way she had crushed her throat earlier made Marceline feel that Bebe would do much the same to her given the opportunity, she more or less did.
