Melody Serperior vs Erin Quinn

Upon the execution of her backflip kick, she felt her foot connect with her foe's head...

...but in the aftermath of the attack, both women would be left down for the count on the ring canvas. Although she managed to push through the Atomic Drop from Erin for a single attack...her tailbone...and by extension her back, still hurt from the attack, causing her ascend back to her feet to be slow...

...but at least she could make sure that Erin's ascend was just as slow, if not more so, giving herself a moment to recover just a little bit.

"Crap...", she remarked, at the same time as Erin's insult towards her. Her back still hurt from both the Powerbomb and the Atomic Drop, and at this point in the match, even getting back up to her feet hurt. It was more than likely that both her and Erin would be back up to a standing base at around the same time...

Still feeling a bit dazed from the hit, Erin took her time rising to her feet. Had she been sure that Melody wouldn't get back up she likely would have stayed down for a while longer. The match would go on with or without her though and the redhead wanted to make sure she was the one in control of it. "Christ...You hit hard." The woman groaned, hands still on her head. It was more of a complaint than a compliment but there was no guarantee it would be taken as such.

Melody had gotten to her feet a moment before a slightly wobbly Erin. "Alright...ready for round...round...next round!" Erin finally finished. At this point she had lost track of who had been knocked down how many times and figured it was best to just say anything. With a deep breath she readied herself for her next move. This time however the redhead would not charge right in. She would have but right now she was fine with a breather as long as Melody wasn't making a move.

"Heh...thanks...", Melody would tiredly say as she pushed up to her feet at Erin's comment.

Nodding at the Irishwoman's comment, Melody was indeed prepared for the next round of this match, the 2 tired warriors slowly dragging the battle to it's conclusion.

Both Melody and Erin would be wary of a strike for each other for a little while, feeling as if one good attack from either would cost the other the entire match...

...but, as the 2 circled each other, Melody would attempt to brave the first attack of this round, attempting to send a hard uppercut to the redhead's gut!

It turned out, waiting for her opponent was not a strategy the Irish brawler was ready to adopt. Always focusing on her offense, her defense was clearly lacking. As such the redhead ended up taking a devastating hit to her stomach. While she was usually ok trading blows, the match had wore her down quite a bit. The impact of the uppercut sent the woman stumbling back two steps before she clutched her stomach and doubled over in pain. "Guuugh!!!" She cried out, unable to say much more.

Her face now contorted in pain, Erin slowly glanced up at her opponent. While she had a few choice words for Melody she was too preoccupied with gasping for breath to get any of them out. Instead she had no choice but to try and brace herself for a followup that she knew was inevitable.

With Erin doubling over in pain from Melody's punch, the greenette wouldn't wait a single second for a follow up, immediately moving in for the kill and trapping the Irish Brawler's head in a Front Facelock.

From there, grabbing at Erin's bottoms, the greenette would attempt to lift and drive the Irishwoman hard into the ground with an Impaler DDT!

Caught in a bad position, Erin found herself swiftly being slammed face first into the ground below. "Aaaagghhh!" She cried out as she hit the floor, bouncing slightly from the impact. Immediately after there was little movement from the redhead. She was feeling quite exhausted and was reeling from the hit to the head. Slowly her eyes fluttered open but she couldn't yet find the strength to push herself up. She just groaned and lay prone as she waited for her stamina to return to her.

Finally there was movement. It wasn't much but Erin would reach back to adjust her bottoms before she slowly rolled onto her side. The woman soon clutched her achy head, hoping that that would go away soon enough although she had a feeling she'd have to wait until after the match to soothe that a bit.

As Melody hit the Impaler, she was planning on following it up with a pin, to try and win the match here and now...

...only for Erin to let out a groan and roll onto her side, letting Melody know that she was still awake. Pinning the woman now would've been a mistake...

...but Melody knew how to make sure she stayed down for good.

"Sorry, Erin...", Melody would say to the Irishwoman as she got back up to her feet:

"..but that headache is about to get a whole lot worse...", she would finish as she stepped towards the corner, preparing for her finishing move to end the match for good, as she waited for Erin to get up to her knees...

Erin slowly but surely began to push herself up. The dazed redhead would eventually wobble to her feet. Struggling to keep up though Erin fell back to her knees, using one arm to brace herself. She would stay there for a little, bit panting and clutching her head. She didn't feel like she was in much of a condition to mount a counterattack but she couldn't just stay on the ground and give up.

She barely heard what Melody had to say but she didn't believe in the slightest that the woman was sorry. In fact had she been able to focus on anything at the moment Erin would probably have had some choice words for her foe. For now though that would have to wait until later. Right now Erin had more important things to focus on like getting back to her feet.

Melody waited with baited breath as Erin searched her way back to her feet, restless in wanting to rush at the woman and hit her final move...

...and, once the redhead was on her knees, she would rush straight at Erin, outstretching her leg as she got closer and let the momentum of her run carry her leg, as she aimed her knee straight at the woman's head for her finishing Leaf Blade!

Erin had little chance to prepare for what was coming next and even less chance to do anything about it. The redhead was caught like a deer in headlights and took the hard knee straight to the head. "Gaaaaugh!" She cried out as she was taken to the ground quite hard. Erin lay there, the only motion being her chest rising and falling. The woman's head rolled to the side with her eyes shut. Erin was out.
