Marie St. Pierre vs. Chika Igarashi: The battle of martial artists

Marie successfully kept Chika from escape now had her where she wanted her opponent.

"Now this is where the fun truly begins." Marie licked her lips, hooking the ankle from Chika' right leg and sat on the limp with her hip, using her weight to do some damage.

Despite Chika's best efforts, Marie would not let her rest after the suplex. Before she could even sit up, Marie grabbed her right leg, trapping her in one place and dropping all her weight onto her limb!

"GYAAAAGH!", Chika cringed in pain, trying to shove her foe off of her with her free left leg!

With Chika firmly locked in place, Marie smirked as she transitioned into a leg lock and started stretching the left leg. "I always liked twisting you strikers like a pretzel." Marie taunted, absorbing the repeated kicks from Chika's free leg as best she could.

"Mggggh...", Chika cringed in pain as Marie maintanined her grip on her leg, the limb completely trapped as the martial artist absorbed Chika's kicks to her body. The Raven Knight glanced to her sides. The ropes were still too far to effectively get herself back to them, meaning she was on her own to escape the hold - the referee would not help her unless she were to tap.

With that, Chika would coil her leg, before springing it forward, aiming it straight for Marie's head!

Marie had the clear power advantage as she continued to torque the leg of the martial artist, taking away the kicking power from Chika in the process. However her opponent wasn't eager to tap out just yet as the sole of Chika's foot slammed into Marie's face. Marie let out an audible yelp while moving her hands to cup her face, releasing Chika in the process.

With the use of hard kicks to her foe's face, Chika was free while Marie was left reeling from the hard shots to her head. Chika felt running away was, in it's own way, risky, as the Quebecer could recover quickly and catch her once more. She had to go on counter-attack now.

With that, the Raven Knight grabbed a hold of her rival's legs with both her arms, before attempting to turn her onto her front while stretching her spine, trapping her rival with a Boston Crab!

"And what about being twisted into a pretzel by a striker?", Chika taunted at Marie...

Marie felt a sudden pressure on her lower back, managing to look behind her shoulders to see that Chika had the boston crab locked in. Marie grunted in pain as now she was the one trapped in a submission hold. Being the one with the weight advantage however, Marie looked try and power her way out of the hold, ignoring the pain in her back to twist her body in an effort to pick Chika's ankle again.

Chika maintained a solid grip on the hold for a good 4-5 seconds before the weight and power discrepancy between the two women let itself known, Marie making steady, but clear progress to overpowering the Raven Knight...and the Japanese woman could feel the lingering pain in her right leg, and the way the Quebecer was slowly reaching out for it...

With Marie being practically on her side rather than on her stomach, and her arm a very short distance away from her leg, Chika chose to abandon the hold, dropping Marie's legs, and hoping away from the woman to recover, hissing as she landed on her hurt limb. The pain wasn't unbearable, but putting her weight on her right leg wasn't pleasant. As Marie rose, Chika put her left leg forward as she put her right leg away from Marie...

Marie managed to escaped the boston crab and counter with another ankle lock only for Chika to release the hold and escape. Marie smirked as Chika made the correct choice in abandoning trying to out grapple one as versed with submissions as her. Marie got to her feet and noticed a slight limp in Chika's steps, followed by the raven-haired striker trying to hide the right leg and in that moment, Marie smelled blood in the water. Slapping her forearms together as an act of pumping herself up, Marie stalked the right leg of Chika like a predator, trying to find any excuse to pick that leg and further injure her opponent.

Chika cringing at her worked over leg was a mistake on a few levels, the most important of which being Marie knowing the damage she's done...and if Marie was as much of a competitor as she was, she wouldn't let the opportunity to put her at a disadvantage go to waste...meaning the Raven Knight had to make sure her foe had as little opportunity to hit get at her leg as possible.

The two warriors circled the ring once more, Chika trying to not let the uncomfortable feeling of shifting her weight onto her right leg not show in her face...right as Marie circled her from the right, pursuing her hurt limb...

Trying to shift her strategy for a moment, Chika came closer to Marie, left leg forward as she tried to slam her forearm across her jaw!
