Mae Madison vs. Layla Colt - Fight the Power

It had been a while since the last time Mae Madison got herself into the ring here in LAW. She had spent a few months on an excursion, and now that she was back, she would like to give a show that many would never forget. Clad in her star-spangled wrestling outfit, she checked on herself in front of a mirror in the locker room before a backstage worker informed her that it was her cue to make her entrance. Nodding in exuberance, Mae would give herself one last check-up before she rushed out of the locker room, heading out to the ramp where she received a much warmer pop from the crowd. She had gained quite a following, which was only natural.

Strutting down the ramp, she would yell out to the crowd. "Mae Madison is back!!!" With her own entrance music, the ever patriotic-sounding The Patriot Theme, blaring from the loudspeakers, she made her way down the ramp, heading over to the ring. The crowd, mostly comprised of her Japanese fanbase, was eating up whatever she was giving to them, and she would not have it in any way. Soon, she would reach the ring, so she climbed up the apron, entering the ring where she would continue to rouse the crowd by raising her arms. The crowd continued cheering for her as she strutted about in the ring.

After that, she would do some stretches, displaying her curvaceous figure to the crowd, much to their rejoice. Mae loved the attention they were giving to her, and she planned to give more in this upcoming match. And after she was done stretching up, she would go to the corner where she would wait for her opponent. Whoever her opponent was, she was certain that she could overcome and defeat her.

Layla waited back stage, watching the entrance of her star-spangled opponent with some amusement, rolling her head from side to side to loosen up her neck as she did. Things were going pretty well for her so far in LAW, so long as she could keep her momentum going, and this woman wasn't going to slow her down. Clad in her black crop top, briefs and boots, she tightened her white fingerless gloves, bouncing from foot to foot in eagerness, ready to get to grips with her next opponent.

Her entrance music Burn Halo: Save Me exploded from the speakers, and the Canadian brawler burst out onto the ramp throwing both her fists into the sky and unleashing a wild whoop of anticipation as the crowds cheered. She high fived fans as she slalomed back and forth down the entrance ramp, before diving neatly under the bottom rope and rolling to her feet.

She locked eyes with the garishly costumed blonde standing opposite her and smiled thinly. Very superficial - she was quite a picture. Still, Layla knew the woman had clocked up a few wins in LAW, so made a mental note not to underestimate Mae, whatever she might have thought of the woman's outfit. Stepping out into the centre of the ring she planted her hands on her hips, tossing her long black hair in a carefree manner.

"Okay, Miss USA," she taunted good naturedly. "Ready when you are."

Mae watched as Layla showed up, noting and studying her as she made her entrance. As soon as Layla entered the ring, Mae smiled to her as she placed her hands on her own hips, looking ready and confident to take her on. "I'm born ready!" Mae boasted confidently as she would step away from her corner, waiting for the referee to start the match between the two of them.

As she waited for the referee to call for the bell, Mae would continue studying her opponent, wondering what she was capable of. Then, when the referee called for the bell, the star-spangled grappler would get into position, raising bot her hands in preparation to clash with her opponent. She seemed prepared to enter a collar-and-elbow tie-up with her opponent so that she could feel the strength of the other woman, thus allowing her to figure out the course of her actions in this match.

A thin smile crossed Layla's faced as Mae declared that she'd been born ready. This woman was ticking every cliche in the book. Layla shook her arms to loosen up, lowering into a wrestling crouch as the referee called for the bell. As the ding echoed across the arena, Mae advanced towards her, clearly looking for a standard tie up to test her strength.

But Layla's greatest asset had never been her strength. She relied on speed.

She made a show of approaching for the grapple, but when she was a few paces away she suddenly dove forward, ducking down and trying to catch Mae's right ankle with her right hand. If she managed, she would use the grappler's frame as an anchor to spin herself around until she was on her knees behind Mae, whereupon she would grab both her opponent's legs from behind and pull. If she executed the move properly it would send the star-spangled American crashing face first into the mats!

Mae would watch her opponent closely as she would prepare herself for a clash, but when she was about to lock up with Layla in a grapple, her opponent suddenly dove forward, ducking down and grabbing Mae by her ankle. "Ahh!!" Mae yelped when her opponent managed to maneuver herself behind her, and when she felt both Layla's hands were on both her legs, she had to act fast as she began to lose her balance.

Falling forward, Mae would try to catch herself before she could hit the mat with her face. She would plant her palms on the mat, preventing herself from falling any further. Then, trying to apply her skill as a cheerleader back then when she was in high school, she would buck her legs, trying to get Layla to release her legs before attempting to bring them up, essentially performing a handstand. If she managed to get herself in a vertical position while doing the handstand, she would then bring her feet back onto the mat, looking to regain her footing.

The move half-worked. Layla shimmied around behind the star-spangled grappler and succeeded in whipping her legs out from under her. What she hadn't anticipated was Mae's ability to withstand the move. The other woman absorbed the fall on her palms, and instantly bucked her powerful legs with more force than Layla could hope to contain.

Layla watched dismayed as Mae kicked free, moving up into an elegant handstand before dropping back down to land neatly on her feet. The Canadian brawler felt a pang of frustration, but had to admit her opponent had skill beyond simple grappling.

Still, it would take more than that to put her off. Springing upright, Layla would fling herself towards Mae, jumping and sending her body horizontal, attempting to catch Mae as she turned back around with a vicious dropkick to the chest!

While Layla managed to catch her off-guard and pulled her legs from under her, Mae managed to mitigate the effect of the move by absorbing the impact of her fall with her palms before bucking her legs. Then, she brought her legs up, performing a handstand before getting herself back onto her feet. The crowd was eating up the elegant display of athleticism, though Mae still needed to regain her bearing in order to prepare herself to turn things around in her favor for this match.

But as soon as she got herself vertical, turning around, Mae saw Layla coming towards her with a dropkick. Mae was unable to get away, and as a result, she was hit by the dropkick, and she was sent down into the mat. "GWAH!!!" In addition to her fall, she also experienced the pain on the spot where she was hit, leaving her in a precarious position where she was vulnerable to whatever Layla would do next.

Layla felt her feet hit Mae square in the chest, and the American grappler went down hard with a yell of pain. Layla hit the canvas and scrambled swiftly back to her feet, eager to press the brief advantage she'd managed to create over her adversary.

She darted around to stand on Mae's right and stooped down, grabbing the woman's right arm and extending it.

"No hard feeling, doll," she taunted cheekily, before dropping a knee down hard on Mae's arm, driving it into the canvas as she tried to wear her opponent down. She would repeat the move twice more, hoping to really put the pressure on Mae at the early stage of the match.

Mae was taken down onto the mat by her opponent's dropkick, and she would need a moment in order to recover. And it seemed that Layla wasn't going to give her any space to recover as she then proceeded to grab her by her right arm, straightening it. Mae struggled to breathe, hoping to regain her bearing, but her recovery was too slow for her liking. As a result, she was unable to stop her opponent from dropping her knee onto her arm, dealing a significant damage on the area.

"AGHHH!!!"

Mae cried out in pain. Not enough with just one, Layla also repeated the same action, weakening the star-spangled grappler even further. Her right arm was left weakened thanks to Layla's attack, which might spell trouble for the American.

Mae couldn't recover in time, and Layla felt a hint of satisfaction as the American let out a screech of pain, feeling the full force of Layla's knee driving down into her arm. Repeating the move several times until Mae was surely aching from the assault, Layla took her opponent by the hair and hauled her upright.

Bending the star-spangled grappler forward, Layla wrapped an arm around the woman's head, throwing an arm across her shoulders and setting her feet. Then she reached down, hooking a hand behind one of Mae's legs.

With a growl of exertion, she attempted to lift Mae backwards and snap her backwards into a swift fisherman's suplex. If she succeeded in slamming Mae to the canvas, she would attempt to hold her there for an early pinfall attempt!
