Yuki Kazikura [D] vs. Maria di Valentina

Things had gone from bad to worse for Yuki. Now there was no question that her wicked opponent had picked up on the tears in her eyes, as much as Yuki had tried to control them, and she was taunting her about it too - the venom in her words seemed to make her blows hurt all the more, as each stomp left Yuki wailing even louder. But if anything, Yuki's pride was hurt even more than her arm. To her, wrestling was everything; it was what she had dedicated her life to, and a craft she was always looking to perfect and to do her best at. For Maria to be belittling her like this, it was as though Yuki was being told her whole life had no meaning.

But that was emboldening Yuki to fight back harder - and now that she had thrown herself out from under her opponent's foot and caused her to stun herself, the pendulum was coming back her way. It was time for her to start making her pay now! As soon as she was back on her feet, even as she panted for breath, Yuki charged in towards Maria, moving to grab a hold of her shoulders to keep her where she was. If that was successful, she would fire off a few sharp knee strikes into Maria's stomach before going to whip her towards the ropes, planning on ending it all with a big boot on the rebound!

Maria grunted as she tried to regain her bearings. She succeeded, but when the Italian aristocrat turned to inflict more pain on Yuki, she was greeted to a clutch of her shoulders and yet another knee to the stomach.

"HURGH!" The di Valentina cried. This was the third time! If Yuki were of equal standing, Maria would suppose this would be fair. But Yuki wasn't so attacking her beautiful stomach wasn't fair either!

And that... lout showed how little she cared for fairness as she bashed her knee against Maria's stomach a few more times! "Urgh! Oof!" Maria moaned, but she didn't have time to clutch her stomach as the joshi grabbed her and whipped the goth towards the ropes! Maria found herself running towards the ropes. She gritted her teeth in fury, already planning on making Yuki pay. And as soon as Maria bounced off the ropes, Maria started to extend her arm out to a clothesline... only for her face to be met by the sole of Yuki's boot!

"GAH!" Maria moaned as she found herself on her back, looking up at the scaffold lights.

At last, it was working! Yuki managed to halt Maria's advances, fixing her in place as she grabbed onto her shoulders - and from there on out, it was time for the girl in yellow to give Maria a piece of her mind. Though her arm was sore, practically burning in pain, she could still use her legs, and she put those to good use as she fired a few more knee strikes to stun her opponent. Once she had her where she wanted her, she threw Maria into the ropes, and on the rebound she kicked out her leg with a cry, driving it into the Italian's stomach and knocking her off her feet. Now Maria was grounded, and Yuki had her opening.

She knew that time would be of the essence - her wounded arm was going to hamper any attempts to fight back, particularly for a striker like her. But if she had Maria stunned, she had the opportunity to go for the big finish, and end this before she had to take any more damage. Yuki turned to the ropes, reaching up to start to climb them. Still hoping on using her legs, she had it worked out to go for a moonsault, planning on ending the match with a dramatic flair to make sure everyone knew she meant business.

But, as it turned out, Yuki's arms weren't just good for punching things. As she grabbed for the middle rope to try and haul herself up, she put all her weight on her bad arm, and it seized back up in a burst of pain! Letting out a howl, Yuki fell against the ropes, her other hand instinctively shooting up to cradle her shoulder, and leaving her open!

Moaning and groaning Maria began to get her bearings as she started to pick herself up. She had a hateful glare in her eyes. How dare that woman not just accept her place. How dare she even THINK of struggling against a member of the most noble di Valentina familia! Well, this pathetic rebellion was going to end now!

Still a bit dazed when she got on her feet, the purple haired tyrant began to sake it off, before a howl of pain caught Maria attention. Turning to the source, Maria smirked. Yuki, like most up-start hacks, was going to the air once more and the hapless joshi was paying for her foolishness. This was the perfect moment to finish her off once and for all.

And so, Maria would try to run at the pained rookie, smashing her fists against Yuki's back in an axe handle in an attempt to stun the joshi. If that worked, Maria would try to climb to the second rope, as well as lift Yuki on the top rope if the Italian managed to climb up. Maria would then try to put her head under the joshi's right arm as she'd then try to wrap her left arm around the Japanese woman's slim waist and her right arm under Yuki's right thigh.

If all went according to plan, Maria would whisper one final taunt to her annoying foe. "As fun as it was to beat you into your place, I'm afraid that it's time I bid you adieu."

And with that, Maria would try to lift Maria up and fall back into a super back suplex!

When she felt the twinge of pain going down her arm, it was as though Yuki's perception of time itself had slowed down to a crawl, giving her the time to ponder her predicament. Her blood ran cold, as she realized how bad this meant for her. It had meant to be a moment of glory for her, when she would truly turn things around...but thanks to Maria's meddling earlier in the match, even that was taken away from her!

As she froze in fear, Yuki was left to take the axe handle to the back, drawing another squeal from her as she fell forward against the ropes, her body slumped over them. There Yuki panted for a moment, tense, as Maria began to follow her up, hoisting her up higher in the process. The Japanese girl gulped, only able to anticipate whatever fate lay in store for her. It couldn't be pleasant. She felt it as Maria climbed up higher, taking her by the waist and leg. Now Yuki could feel herself being hoisted upwards, and as she heard Maria's words in her ear...

...Yuki refused to let it end this way! Somehow, hearing Maria talk about how fun it was to best her was enough to reignite the fire in Yuki, as she shook herself and put on a bold face. Faced with what seemed like sure defeat, her adrenaline kicked in, strong enough for her to suddenly kick her leg free of Maria's grip and shake her off! The fans cheered at Yuki for making such a comeback - and Yuki, herself, saw her opportunity. Now that she was on the ropes, she'd be able to pull off her high-flying offenses after all, even if she hadn't been the one to get her there. Of course, Yuki was weary, and Maria likely had other things in store. She had to make this one count!

And, luckily, in a situation like this...Yuki couldn't think of a more perfect move. Throwing her arm behind her again, this time she would be the one to catch Maria by the head, before she pushed off with her legs, using all her strength to flip backwards and drive her opponent to the canvas! Those familiar with Yuki would recognize it as a shiranui - one of her trademark finishing moves!

Maria giggled ever so evilly and arrogantly as she started to finish Yuki off. This was it, even that moronic upstart had to know it. Yeah, Maria saw the hope leave the joshi's eyes. The look of someone who knows they're beaten. And what made it all the more delicious was that it was her debut. Maybe Yuki would get a clue and leave wrestling to the elites like Maria di Valentina!

But... there was a hitch in that plan. For a second late, those hopeless, cold eyes, filled with fire.

Suddenly, Yuki wrested her leg from Maria grasp! "What?!" The Italian woman cried in shock and fear as Yuki then wrapped an arm around the aristocrat's head in a crevate hold.

And before Maria could protest, insult or even comprehend her situation, something unbelievable happened. In a feat of awe inspiring athleticism, Yuki kicked off the top ropes, doing a back flip to get in a reverse DDT position. And for all the pain that the two woman put each other through the match, Maria was going to find out that would be nothing to what was coming in a few seconds...

BOOM!

"Oooohhhh!" The rabble cheered, applauding the amazing move and Maria's (literal) downfall!

Maria lied still, silent. Her vision was blurry, her ears ringing. In fact, the only sense that seemed to be doing its job was touch. And Maria knew that from the crushing pain on the back of her skull!

Yuki had a lot to lose, and she knew it. When she had been the subject of Maria's brutal arm holds, she was sure that the match was likely to go in the Italian's favor, and when she had ended up in place for a back suplex, even in her attempts to take things back by going for an aerial manuever, she thought it was all over. But at the very last minute, Yuki had been struck with inspiration. Inspiration to fight back and to do something. And, sucking in a breath, it was inspiration she swore she would follow through on. If it failed, Maria would surely win - but Yuki was pretty sure that was already in the cards.

But if it did succeed - and there was a chance, however slight, that it would - it could mean the difference between victory and defeat for Yuki! That was a chance she was willing to take!

And, from the looks of it - it had worked! The million to one shot landed in Yuki's favor, as she sprung off the ropes and carried Maria down to the mat. The sound of her body striking the canvas was drowned out by the crowd cheering Yuki on, and just hearing that gave the raven-haired rookie hope. She had to win it now, for all of them - they believed in her, and she was willing to make good on her unspoken promise! Maria was down now, and Yuki had her chance - this was it! Letting herself roll on top of Maria, Yuki hooked her leg, hoisting it back, as the ref got into position!

"One! Two! THREE!"

The bell rang, and Yuki jumped up, pumping her fists in the air. She let her composure fade, as a big, dumb, self-indulgent grin spread over her face. She had earned it, after all - winning her debut match when all odds seemed against her!

Humility was such a bitter, disgusting taste. But taste was one of two senses that was still working properly for the Italian noble. The other was pain, mainly the horrible splitting aches at the back of her skull.

And truth be told, Maria had little idea what was going on any more. For a second, she saw Yuki cover her and the referee rush down in position. She could hear the roar of the crowd from time to time. What happened? Not even a minute ago, Maria was about to put this peasant in her place. And now? Now she...

She'd lost. To a woman who was so beneath her, that the di Valentina was sure that worms would find the joshi dirty. Maria could barely move, barely do anything but moan in pain and listen to more of the rabble and trash in the crowd cheer for their fellow cretin. However, she managed to channel that anger from her humiliation and used it to curl her right hand into a fist.

Maria WILL have retribution. This upstart... she WILL pay. No one humiliates a di Valentina and gets away with it!

Maria may have been disgusted by Yuki's victory, but this mattered little to the newly victorious rookie - she was just excited to have come out on top, in her first match no less! After the referee had held up her arm and pronounced her the winner - just hearing the words "Here is your winner, by pinfall, YUKI KAZIKURA!" spoken, in a voice so loud as to be heard through the arena, was enough to make Yuki shiver a bit at the magnitude of what she had accomplished - the girl eagerly ran up to the ropes, jumping up onto the middle rope and pumping a fist in the air in triumph!

As she did, Yuki felt the soreness in her shoulder once again, and she had recieved a grim reminder of how brutal Maria had been in fighting to keep her down. But Yuki put that out of her mind. She'd have to rest her arm after this, of course - but what mattered now was that she had won! And from here on out, she only had bigger and better things to look forward to.
