Yamato Nadeshiko vs Melody Serperior

"I have to be, to beat perfection", Melody would reply with a smirk on her face.

With her knees delivering harsh strikes to Yamato's stomach, the "Perfect Woman" now kneeled before her, clutching her hurt abs. Knowing that both pain in her stomach, and the lack of air in her lungs would not allow her to retaliate, Melody would start launching roundhouse kicks to her opponent's chest, to further drive the wind out of her!

Yamato somehow managed a smirk and chuckle of her own through her pained expression. Melody's wit and prowess was greater than she had estimated. But any further acknowledgement would be best saved for later.

"Ugh!!" Yamato cried out as the Melody's foot and shin drove into her chest, making contact with her bosom. It wasn't quite forceful enough to force Yamato to fall backwards. And to her, that was a strong indicator that this roundhouse kick would be the first of many! Yamato wince as she braced herself for another kick! And then another!

She placed a foot on the ground while letting out a soft groan. The "Perfect" Woman was determined to overcome this onslaught of kicks and reverse the momentum! By the time the fourth kick came, she prepared herself to catch Melody's foot, wrapping her arm around it before working her way up to her feet, should be be successful in catching in the kick. Yamato attempt to stop her green haired by spinning and torquing her body to counter with a Dragonwhip to take them both down!

Satisfyingly, Melody drove her foot into Yamato's bosom, multiple times, fully using her advantageous position to damage Yamato as much as she could. As Melody prepared her foot for the 4th kick, the greenette was confident she had the place at the qualifiers in the bag!

And that's when the reality came crushing down on her. Yamato would catch Melody's leg as she stood up, stopping Melody's assault in it's tracks. Before Melody could follow up with a kick with her other leg, Yamato would through Melody onto the canvas back-first with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip!

With Yamato turning the tables, Melody rushed to get to her feet with Yamato, not keen on completely losing her advantage to the "Perfect Woman"!

Yamato somehow found the resourcefulness she needed to put an end to that flurry of kicks. Though the damage was done, a combination of adrenaline and desire - desire for the gold kept her pushing forward. The Japanese Native banged the mat once with her fist, trying to hype herself up as she began to rise. Though unfortunately, she hadn't risen quickly enough. Melody still looked to assert her control by rising quickly, faster than Yamato could at the time.

But Yamato wasn't out of options quite yet. She worked her way up to one knee and waited for the green-ette to approach. When Melody got close enough, the black haired woman would look up at her with wide, determined eyes before leaping up. She aimed to grab Melody's head and fall back down the canvas in a sitout position. Yamato would again try to turn the tide by lowering her head and thrusting Melody's face off the back of her skull for a Jawbreaker! If successful, Yamato would let out a sigh of relief before giving the audience a thumbs up. It wasn't a saving grace, but in the moment, the move seemed like the exact kind of momentum shift she needed.

"A 'perfect' counter move!" She'd say while chuckling and rubbing the back of her head, trying to ease the recoil damage that she would suffer from the move.

Melody managed to stand up first! She didn't quite lose her advantage yet, then. She stepped towards Yamato, planning to grab the Japanese native's head to get her up to drive it into the mat with a DDT or a variation of there of, thinking that she would be too tired to retaliate against the green Brit...

...Only for the Perfect Woman to grab greenette's head, jump, and drive Melody's head into the back of her skull with a Jawbreaker!

Melody herself jumped up from the impact, dazed after the successful (or, how Yamato said, perfect) counter. As The Perfect One played up to the crowd Melody slowly tried to get back to a standing base, up to her hands and knees as Yamato rubbed the back of her aching head after the recoil...

Yamato had shown signs of life by countering and flooring her green haired foe with some quick offense. She took a second to find her bearings before looking towards Melody and seeing the woman push herself up to her hands and knees. Yamato would place her hands on the canvas and push up off of it so that she could plant her feet and lunge towards her foe!

"How about this?!" She declared as she closed the distanced. Nadeshiko would attempt to approach Melody from a perpendicular angle. She'd hop over the green clad woman and try to place her hand between her legs in an attempt to pin her quickly with an Oklahoma Roll!

As Melody was on her hands and feet, trying to get up to try and avoid letting Yamato getting the upper hand, the Perfect Woman would be already up to her feet. Swiftly, she would grab a hold of greenette's leg and shoulder, flipping over her, before Oklahoma Rolling her up for the pin!

"ONE!"

She was still feeling the aftermath of Yamato's jawbreaker. As a result of her skull still hurting, as well as the daze that came from the hit, she couldn't kick out at 1.

However, once ref's hand hit the mat for the second time, Melody would try and push her legs upwards, trying to produce enough momentum to lift her shoulder off of the mat!

Yamato managed to secure Serperior in a pin with a quick maneuver. It happened so suddenly that it seemed she might have been able to catch her foe for just long enough! The black haired wrestler kept her arm hooked around Melody's leg and tried to keep her down. She smiled as the first count was called, but found herself being forcefully pushed off of her foe just as the ref's hand slapped the mat a second time!

As she was forced back, the Japanese native would catch herself and roll off the canvas, quickly popping up to her feet. She tried to rise up before Melody, did. Despite pinning Serperior, she still wanted to ride this momentum and continue turning the tables. She'd keep eyes on her opponent and run at her just as Melody was about to find her way up. Nadeshiko would jump and and lunge at Melody while thrusting her knee forwards, towards the green clad woman's face with a High Knee!

"Ikuuuzzzooooo!" She'd declare aloud as if it were a battle cry.

With the pin broken, Melody sat up, trying to form any semblance of plan in her head for how to tackle Yamato. However, the earlier Jawbreaker from the Perfect Woman still left her mind scrambled, failing to form a plan that would shift the momentum to her favour. Slowly she rose to her feet, thinking she would just try and guess what her opponent had in store for her to try and counter it...

...only for already standing Yamato to get back to her feet, launching herself at the greenette and aiming a swift High Knee for her head!

Melody fell to the mat after the harsh impact, groaning in pain, hearing only ringing in her head, as well as the "O" from Yamato's battle cry, laying helpless and dazed in the middle of the ring...

Yamato was able to leap into the air before artfully lunging her knee forward and her arms back, landing a picture perfect high knee on Melody and flooring her to the sound of a large crowd reaction. She landed and stumbled slightly before finding her footing. The black haired wrestler raised a fist in the air, much to the delight of the fans and looked down on Melody before stepping towards her and reaching for her ankles.

"You're pretty good, maybe even great. But you'll never surpass perfection." Yamato said with a wink as she tried to drag the green clad woman towards a corner of the ring. If successful in moving the much lighter Melody's supine body, Yamato would turn her back to her foe and face the corner, grabbing onto the tope ropes firmly before trying to make her next move.

The Japanese aerialist would leap up and spread her legs, lifting them over the top ropes and bouncing the back of her shins off of them before corkscrewing gracefully backwards, aiming to hit her foe with a Split Leg Corkscrew Moonsault! Should Nadeshiko successfully connect with the dynamic aerial move, she'd hook one of Melody's legs and press her forearm down across the woman's upper chest to try and seal the deal!

"I look forward to defending the belt against you, Melody-chan!" Yamato would say as she covered her foe.
