Kay couldn't help but manage a small smile when she locked in her headscissor hold. The slight blush that materialised on Clara's cheeks did not go unnoticed given Kay's position, being granted a view of Clara's beautiful features given her current predicament in the submission hold. Had their roles been reversed, Kay knew she would probably be blushing too, though only for the reason that it would be Clara doing the move. Hopefully it wasn't too much for Clara, for one the hold was light, and Kay's thighs were at least covered up hopefully making it a little less awkward for her sparring partner. Still, there was certainly a moment of content in capturing the captivating Geordie.

It was not to last however, as Clara had ideas of her own. Clara reached and managed to grasp at her ankles, before positioning herself in such a way that she was able to propel herself from the mat and use Kay's own position and body against her. At once, Clara managed to convert even a move like a headscissors into a pin, ending up landing rear first upon Kay's chest, holding her legs. This time Kay couldn't help but laugh out loud, even in her awkward position.
"GASTER? I think we need... to change your name into... PINSTER!" Kay yelped out between breathes. Though Clara was light, she was still upon Kay's chest, using her own body against her to secure the pin, making for quite an uncomfortable predicament. Kay bit on her lower lip, writhing a little, now finding it was her turn to form a blush against her own will given Clara was positioned over her body. By now, she could see Clara's soft flesh was developing a few beads of sweat, creating a slight glisten to her exposed skin. It was not the worse place to be.

"I... I think I can... get out of this one... let me just..." Kay whispered, more or less to herself as she tried to work any momentum and leverage to her own favour. It was difficult, and Clara had her gripped good. Given the time she spent in the hold she knew the ref would be on a five or six count by now, meaning she would have lost two times over. Still, this was a spar, and thus Kay was in no real super rush to escape, given a stunning woman was on top of her, however she knew she had to escape. Kay she took the situation seriously enough, and slowly began to tense her body a little, giving away that she was about to attempt an escape.

At once, Kay brought her legs closer towards her chest, revealing that she was more flexible than she appeared. With a violent flick, Kay buckled her shoulders and forced her legs out with a kick. The moment she did so, she realised she went a little overboard... it turned out Clara was not holding her quite as tight as she initially though, and given her position, she felt her heel clash slightly with Clara's head. Her sparring partner reeled back and fell completely off her the moment Kay's foot clashed against her, with Kay rising nearly faster than Clara could fall to the canvas.
"Oh sh**!" Kay gasped out in panic, her voice catching in her chest. "I'm so sorry! I... I didn't mean to catch you!" Kay exclaimed, coming to Clara's side. It did not feel like she caught her too badly, but she noticed a few drops of blood...

"Oh... what have I done?! I'm sorry! Are you okay?" Kay felt awful as she tried to tend to Clara. It was suppose to be a fun spar, and all at once Kay believed she had ruined what had thus far been an amazing experience.

As Clara flipped the headscissors into a pin, she couldn't help but laugh at her sparring partner's nickname for her:

"Mwahahaha...indeed. All shall be folded before my might!", she would proclaim, relaxing the hold a bit to allow Kay to figure out a way to escape.

When she was taking a while, she turned her face towards Kay for the moment. It was now the blue haired Canadian's turn to blush as she laid underneath Clara, the Brit smiling at her friend: "Take your time. I am not in a rush to get any----AAAAGH!"

Right as Clara turned would be the moment where Katherine tended up her feet and shoulders as she pushed upwards to escape. Before the Brit could react, Kay's foot would mail her on her forehead, the Shadow Lord collapsing to the side, clutching her hurting forehead and cringing in agony...

...and she felt blood sipping through her fingers. Kay busted her pretty well, she thought.

The pain in her forehead would start to dissipate...but very very slowly as the Brit continued to wear a pained expression on her face. Kay would quickly come to her aid as she tried to sit up.

"Mgggh...Don't worry! It...aaagh...happens. My sis is a very rough sparring partner so this isn't the first time something like this happens...

She quietly tried to grasp Kay's arm, hoping the blunette would help her up to her feet as she held her aching forehead:

"Mggh...I have a medkit in my car----d-dangit I left it in the middle of the street!, she cursed her luck, trying to figure out a solution to keep the spar going and not go into the drizzling night outside, enjoying Kay's company quite a bit.

"I'm... I'm so sorry about this." Kay whispered, still feeling like a pit had manifested within her stomach that just seemed to suck in and hold nothing but dread. She felt a little ill, her expression saying more than any words could, she honestly felt like crying but fortunately she was able to hold in such emotions. Even so, Clara was just as excellent as always. She took the hit like a trooper despite the cut, trying to assure Kay that everything was alright. Kay couldn't help but think that perhaps this would be the first and last spar they had together after this incident. She was quick to help Clara when she reached out her arm for help getting up, assisting her in standing, gently as she could manage as she dared not cause a rush to the head for Clara given the cut.

"I'll take you there." Kay whispered. There was first aid kits in the gym but the gym was famous for leaving them in office areas which were incidentally locked up in these late hours. It was good to know Clara at least had medical supplies in her car to tend to the fresh wound. Kay helped Clara out of the ring, slipping on her old sneakers and putting on her plaid shirt. The Canadian did not even bother buttoning it up as she looked to tend to Clara, throwing on her rucksack and grasping her coat. She grasped a gym towel, coming to Clara's side and gently looking to press it against the wound to ease the blood flow. Kay cared not that it belonged to the gym, they could bill her later, that is if they even knew it was her. She helped Clara gather her things whilst keeping the towel against her head.

"I'm... sorry I screwed up. I... I was really enjoying tonight." Kay spoke, clearly still feeling down in the dirt. When the two got outside, it seemed the drizzle had made a decision to turn into heavy rain on its own accord. It was a downpour by now, with the rain bouncing off cars and the surface itself. The sky was as black as pitch not too far away from them, suggesting that the weather was only going to get worse, and the street lights only highlighted how hard the rain was coming down already. Kay did not hesitate when she tossed her coat over Clara's head, looking to protect her from the elements as best as she could.

"Let's go!" Kay shouted, looking to quickly guide Clara through the downpour. Naturally she needed Clara to guide her towards her own car, but it was a now or never style of dash which Kay pushed for before Clara could make any protest about her sacrificing her coat for her. What a night this was turning out to be...

Kay would be quick to apologize, and Clara, in her heart, would quickly forgive her. Wrestling isn't ballet, as the saying went, and even in ballet, injury was just a misstep away. And for a wrestler? A cut from a rough punch was an every day occurance. Still, if one got hit too hard during a spar, the wise thing to do was to call it off for the day...even if she wanted Kay to keep her company for longer.

Carefully, the blunette helped her to her feet and the 2 women exit the ring, heading towards the locker room. Still feeling woozy from her forehead being busted open, and with her hand bloody, all Clara would do was shove things into her bag, Kay helping out in the task and put it over her shoulder of her non-bloodied arm, also grasping her umbrella with her. Kay would tend to the wound with the gym towel, and the two lightweights headed for the exit:

"Don't feel too guilty! It happe----"

SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!

To a heavy rain.

Clara, in her still semi-dazed state, growled under her breath, her unluckiness angering her...but that feeling quickly disappated as Kay threw her coat over her head. Kay would hurry out of the building...before Clara could let her know about the umbrella in her hands. She tried to let the Canadian know she had a way to protect both of them from the rain, but the problem was, Kay worried so much about Clara, she was rushing her towards the car, the Brit unable to say even a coherent sentence in a rush. Clara let Kay know which way to go, and the Canadian would be swift on the upturn, leading Clara towards her car, the coat getting sacrificed to the merciless rain...

The 2 eventually arrived to the car, Clara calling to Kay: "Get inside, quick!", worrying about her friend getting wet and called from the water. Regardless if Kay listened to her, Clara would unlock her car, both for Kay to enter, and for herself to grab a medkit...

The pair had been somewhat fortunate that Kay's coat was able to soak up a good deal of the rain they had been assaulted with. Naturally the old thing could only hold so much however, and it wasn't design to take such weather. As a result, the two girls still got wet, but it could have been much worse... (or actually a lot better if Kay had just taken a moment to realise Clara had the foresight to bring an umbrella.) Kay might have laughed at the situation if she hadn't have cut Clara some moments ago. The mishap was still fresh in her mind and as such the Canadian still did not feel too good about herself, even after her rather foolish chivalry.

Once the car doors had been slammed, the two were gifted reprieve. The chaos of the downpour was a little quieter now, even as its rage thundered against the frame of the car outside. It felt safe somehow, with Kay and Clara together in the confines of the Brit's automobile, simply because it was dry and one was now able to think. Kay looked to Clara once the moment passed, feeling a few drips of rain beginning to form on the ends of her fringe.
"Let me have a look at it." Kay spoke, more of a statement than a request. Clara already had the medkit on her lap and opened.

Carefully Kay ran a hand through Clara's hair near the cut upon her forehead, brushing a few matted locks away that unfortunately had dipped into Clara's blood. Kay bit on her lower lip, her touch very soft as she looked cautiously. The rain had cleared some of the blood, but it was still seeping a little, having not clogged just yet. Kay inched closer, failing to realising how close she was to Clara's beautiful features as she studied the cut delicately. An expression of relief soon took Kay's own features, her body language becoming much more relaxed. She even dared to smile, even if it was just a little.

"It's not as bad as it looks. I'm no professional doctor, but I've been biffed in the head and cut open enough times to know when it needs stitches. You just need a clean and a good plaster." Kay whispered, her voice surprisingly soft and low. She searched through Clara's medkit, fetching a fresh wipe and some disinfectant.
"This might sting a little bit... but given you took one of my kicks to your face I recon you'll be alright." Kay tried to jest, rubbing some of the ointment upon the cut with a delicate hand, before softly dabbing at the now drying blood with a wipe and a cotton wool bud. If it had been herself in a mirror she would have been rough and quick as hell, but she was dealing with someone else, thus she tried to be as gentle as possible.

When the worst part was over she took two plasters, using the medical scissors to cut them up and extend their reach by combining them. Leaning in close once again, Kay slid the plasters over the cut, soon sealing them up. She soon slunk back into the passenger seat when all was done, a somewhat embarrassed look upon her face.
"I uhh.. I'm sorry about that. I know I've said it a lot already and I'll probably say it a lot more before the day is over, but I just want you to know I really didn't mean to do that. I... I had a lot of fun today. I feel bad a silly thing like that brought it all to an end so soon." Kay whispered, barely able to make eye contact with who she was fast considering a friend.

Upon grabbing a medkit, Clara quickly dashed towards the door of the driver's seat, promptly entering, and sighing in relief. The rain continued to bang on outside against the car and the pavement, but at the very least, the two lightweights wouldn't get anymore wet than they were now. For a second, the Brit relaxed...right up until the point where her forehead started throbbing once more, Kay asking to have a look as Clara opened the medkit...

Clara would quietly moan as Kay softly touched the area around her wound, less in pain, and more in expecting pain that never came. The blunette would carefully analyse the cut, trying to not touch it, but rather the area around it, Kay having her eyes quite close on Clara's face...and naturally, having the cute woman's face so close to herself caused her to blush...

Soon enough, Kay would smile, her touch getting a bit more confident as her body relaxed from worry, before explaining that the cut was not that bad, only needing a clean and a plaster to cover it. Nodding, Clara let Kay grab the needed things from her medkit, giggling nervously at blunette's joke, before letting her deal with her cut. Feeling minor unpleasant tingles from her wound, the Brit let out a few quiet whimpers, biting her lip to silence herself and not distract or worry Kay.

Soon enough, the wound was carefully covered with two plasters as Kay finished treating it, Clara relaxing, and sinking back into the driver's seat alongside Kay.

The Blunette apologized once more as she turned to her:

"Don't worry. Seriously", she laughed...before letting out a stiffled giggle: "I can really tell you are Canadian though...", she tried to whisper, but it was still loud enough for Kay to hear:

"...well...we can still hang out, if you want to. If not a spar, then maybe somewhere else...though I would like to limit movement under the rain..."

"What about my apartment?"
, she suggested.

Kay had to bite her lip to stop herself giggling at times upon Clara's reactions to her treatment. The British woman took a kick to the head and virtually laughed it off in spite of the wound, yet getting medical ointment upon the cut and enduring the small sting as it was cleaned made her squeamish. Several times she yelped and whimpered through it all. It was adorable, and Kay couldn't help but relate, which was why she wanted to giggle. She recalled nearly breaking her arm in a fight in prison, fortunately only straining the limb as it turned out. Many inmates ended up laughing at her later in the night, as she took the near injury with brave stride, yet would come to complain over a paper cut between her fingers as if she had been struck by a car.

When it was all done, Kay gasped in pretend horror over Clara's words when she made jest on her Canadian origins, given that the young woman had apologised numerous times by now. It was globally known that citizens of her nationality had a reputation for apologies, even when it wasn't truly necessary. Though Clara whispered her words, they were not lost to the sound of the thunderous rain beyond the confines of the car, and as such Kay chose to retaliate physically rather than with wit. She gave Clara a firm tickle under her arm, not for a prolonged amount of time, but enough to try and force a little squeal from her squeamish friend.

"I heard that!" Kay yelped, finally retreating when she felt some justice had been delivered. "... and you know what? I'm not sorry for that." Kay added with significant defiance in her tone. She managed a pleasant smile, clearly more at ease now given she had patched up Clara, and that the wound was fortunately little more than a nasty looking cut that would heal on its own. When the two had settled more, Clara offered that the two could still hang out, before suggesting her apartment after a brief pause.

"Oh... Umm, yeah sure! I'd like that." Kay answered, her smile growing a little. She had not considered the logistics of it all however, being soaking wet and not exactly having replacement clothes, nor considering it was gradually getting late in the hours. Right now she was only thinking of how much she was enjoying the company of Clara, and Kay was not keen to part ways from her just yet. (Especially having not long kicked her in the head, one could not just do that to someone and send them on their way.)

Clara wasn't the one to play on stereotypical humor, but whenever opprotunity arose, be it British people being overly posh, Americans being rough and loud mouthed, or indeed, Canadians being too apologetic, her mind practically forced her to joke about it...and when she saw Kay's face, she realized that she had heard her joke...and got her swift retribution with a quick tickle under her arm:

"Nononononononowaaaaaait!!!", she squealed as she tried to protect her attacked arm, laughing to the point of tears rolling down her eyes: "I'll get you back for this", she said in a cute, half-joking tone as she sat up from trying to get away from the tickle.

With the confirmation from Kay that they were good to go to Clara's appartment, the Brit nodded, starting the car up, and getting it out of it's parking space. The earlier gridlock has seemed to have sorted itself, and as a result, the road to her house was clear:

"...oh, I didn't have to clean the rooms up...", Clara would mutter her thoughts out loud...

"I bet its absolutely fine." Kay whispered in responce with a sly yet pretty smile on her lips. She heard Clara talk under her breath about the state of her home, no doubt thoughts brought into words, but it was loud enough for Kay to hear all the same. Kay was not so fortunate to be able to even afford a home, and as such she was never going to judge the state of anyones household or apartment. Kay was lucky she had befriended Irelia who had been so kind to allow her to stay in her place, at least until she got onto her own feet. Given it felt like just as much money was going out than what was coming in, it didn't feel she would be on the property market for quite some time. Still, everything was at least stable... In all honesty, as of this moment, all her woes were pressed far into the back of her mind.

Instead her focus was on the company of Clara. There felt like no moment of silence or awkwardness as the two journeys in the car. Clara was forced to drive pretty slow despite the clear roads given the terrible visibility of the heavy rain. Her windsheild wipers were working overtime and still it was a struggle. Fortunately the two were in no real rush, and both of them chatted away, sharing some stories, mostly relating to their time in the LAW Federation. Before long the two were giggling and laughing at each others more funnier tales of mishaps both in and out of the ring. Kay even went to explain why she had been lying down on the canvas when Clara first entered, talking of how she fell off the turnbuckle but managed to save face by making it look like she was just chilling.

The journey took twenty minutes longer than it should have, but the time flew by with both Clara and Kay talking so much. Soon enough Clara was pulling over to park her car outside of her place. By then the storm had somehow grew more intense. The rain and the wind lashed at the car, the former patter of water soon turning into what sounded like manic war drums. Kay pulled a bit of a defeated expression as she turned to Clara. The journey from the car to her home was no doubt only a couple of strides, but given how hard the rain was thundering down, the pair were going to get soaked... Clara's umbrella probably would not survive the short journey.

Kay glanced through the window, taking note that the clouds only grew darker beyond what was already overhead. Soon enough, a crack of thunder could be seen in the distance, following by the roar of thunder a good ten seconds later.
"I don't think its going to clear. Might have to make a dash for it now before it gets even worse." Kay spoke with a grim tone. She bit on her lower lip and looked at Clara, hoping she had the keys ready.

"Mgggh...", Clara groaned in response to Kay's answer, not quite sure of just how bad things were at her house. Still, they likely weren't so bad she had to lock Kay out of her house...were they?

The two chatted away on the road to Clara's house, and the Brit even hearing the funny story of how Kay fell down right as she came in, Clara giggling at her friend's accident, but apologizing right afterwards for not realizing that happened. The Brit, meanwhile, countered with the accident from a while ago where she scared off a fellow lightweight with her mask...

20 seemingly short minutes later, and Clara and Kay were at the Shadow Lord's lair, a tall apartment complex, with it's parking on the outside, much to Clara's bad luck, especially since that the heavy rain outside was getting worse and worse, thunderous booms adding to the rattles of water drops.

Clara nodded at Kay's assessment of situation, holding her key ring in one hand, and umbrella in the other.

"On the count of 3...1...2..."

BOOM

"3!", Clara quickly exit the car along with Kay to the boom of a thunder far away, holding her umbrella up as the wild wind tried to rip it from her arms, the Shadow Lord holding on tight to cover both herself and her friend from the water pouring down as they headed for the apartment complex building...
