With the referee now entering the ring and the commissioner declaring the ensuing match official, the only thing left to do was for the two potential challengers for the belt around Linda Halloween's waist to duke it out and determine who would go on to claim it! Astrid smiled as she stepped back to stare down her opponent, cracking her knuckles. Now her moment had come.

"I hope you're ready for this, Cali," Astrid said. "I have no intentions of stepping down!" She lowered herself into a stance, raising her hands as she stepped in closer to her opponent.

With the match about to happen the blond heavyweight would climb out of the ring as she took her place at ringside as she said besides the announcers as she was given an microphone to comment on the action as she wondered who of these two heavyweights would end up being victorious.

Cali cracked her knuckles as the referee slid into the ring and rang the bell. The beginning of her grand conquest began with this match, with Astrid facing her down as the two would clash to decide would go on to challenge for the Heavyweight title.

"I assure you dear, I plan to give you everything I have and then some!" Cali answered back with her usual confidence, yet her eyes steeled with a focus that's rarely seen in the up and coming wrestler. She moved to meet Astrid towards the center with her own hands raised only to suddenly duck down and looked to push the larger blonde towards the corner behind her.

Astrid grinned wider at the sight of Cali approaching her. She knew she had the potential to take things to a championship match, but this would be the moment to decide that once and for all, and to prove it for all to see! She just hoped that Cali would provde a worthy opponent - and she had no reason to doubt her, thus far.

"Very well!" Astrid shouted back to her as she stood ready with a test of strength. But Cali surprised her, making a devious move right off the bat as she ducked under Astrid to push the Norsewoman's back into the corner instead! "Gahh..?!" Astrid had been taken by surprise, and her back was pressed up against the turnbuckle!

Nevertheless, Astrid wasn't planning on letting this keep her down for long. She wouldn't let Cali have the advantage. From where she was, Astrid tried to lean in against Cali's advance in order to pass a hand between her legs, hoist her up, and bodyslam her!

Cali had succeeded in pushing the larger woman into the corner as planned. The Norsewoman however wasn't intent on letting Cali get the advantage in the early goings of the match as Cali was suddenly lifted into the air. Out of panic, Cali kicked her legs to squirm from Astrid's shoulders, her feet eventually finding purchase on the top rope before she kicked Astrid in the back to create some space.

Astrid may have been backed into a corner for now, as Cali pushed her towards the ropes, but the Norwegian had no intentions of letting her opponent claim the advantage for long. The aspiring challenger hoisted Cali off the ground with a "Hup-!" to draw on her strength - but so too would Cali find the strength to repel her!

Cali's legs kicked free from Astrid's clutches, the blonde finding it more and more difficult to hold on the more her foe fought against her, and soon enough she was able to catch her footing against the top rope. Astrid gasped just long enough for Cali to kick her in the back, and she went staggering forward, letting go of her opponent as she stumbled towards the center of the ring.

"Staying on your toes, I see," Astrid mused as she turned back around to face Cali. "Good. This should be interesting indeed!"

Cali managed to create some space, the crowd eating up the current interactions with the two. The rookie could only smirk as she stepped down from the corner and cracked her knuckles.

"I wouldn't be in this position if I didn't take my opponents seriously." Cali responded before meeting Astrid in the center of the ring. With a huff, Cali ducked down low again -- this time moving around to the blonde's back and wrapped her thick arms around the Norsewoman's waist. Seeking to show off her power some more, Cali looked to hoist Astrid into a German Suplex.

Even as Astrid got into a stance, preparing herself for Cali's next move, a smile was on her face. She was proud to be facing an opponent with as much respect and dedication for wrestling as she herself held, and she was eager to see what more Cali could throw at her! But rather than face Astrid head-on, Cali instead swerved behind her - and soon enough, the Norwegian felt a pain of arms cross her midsection before she was lifted off her feet.

Moments later, Astrid felt her full weight going sailing back through the air before she landed with a thud on her head, the canvas shaking from the impact. She clenched her teeth, her legs hanging in the air and going tense.

The ref slid onto the mat with her hand ready to start the pin count, but Cali was not finished with Astrid yet as she had the feeling that the Norsewoman would not be felled by a single suplex. With that single notion, Cali rolled to her side and pulled Astrid along until they were both standing again. With a huff, Cali looked to deliver another german suplex and if successful, repeat the motion for the trifecta before finally bridging for the pin attempt.

Astrid had gone down to the mat, and her head was feeling the soreness of the landing. Cali was strong, that was for sure. But it seemed she was insightful as well, deciding not to press her luck right away with a single German suplex. Astrid felt herself being hoisted up again, and just as quickly as the first, she was thrown back down head-first, her legs kicking up in the air as she fell!

Astrid, however, had a feeling Cali wasn't done yet. She knew enough from her previous bouts to know that German suplexes usually came in threes - after all, she'd been the subject of one such move herself. The blonde was panting, her face red and her hair in disarray as she was lifted up again, but as she saw her speculations were confirmed, she was prepared to counter! Suddenly, getting her two hands before her, Astrid moved to shove down on Cali's hands to offset the pressure and buy her some time. If she tried to lift her again, Astrid would then look to clamp her thighs around her waist as she came upwards, holding herself in place and squeezing her at the same time! "You're a smart one," she said. "But I can think on my feet too!"
