Heavyweight Workout

Alaina had Astrid down and after rising to her feet after the leg drop Alaina waste no tie in running as quickly as she could towards the nearest turnbuckle. She turned to make sure Astrid was still down before climbing up to the top, facing away from the ring. Alaina was 44 yes, she was 187 pounds sure... but she was still agile for a power wrestler. It was time to show this aspect of her game to Astrid! Alaina took a deep breath before leaping off the top rope, sailing through the air as she flipped. The amazon was aiming a moonsault right at Astrid, hoping to land on her torso and go for a pin right after. If this worked Alaina was sure the spar was over.... she just hoped Astrid would be right where she was laying before otherwise the spar would again be over but not in the way Alaina had hoped!

The pain in Astrid's gut was still young, but Alaina was already back on her feet, leaving her Norwegian foe lying on the mat in a daze. Astrid had to give her opponent some credit for how well she could still move, but that wasn't exactly something that played in her favor. But if Astrid thought that was good, what was about to happen next would truly wow her.

As her eyes went wide, Astrid looked up to see Alaina climbing to the top rope. "Whoah..." For a moment, she felt a twinge of concern, afraid that if Alaina injured herself it could ruin her career here and now. But Astrid quickly put that out of her mind. In the course of this spar alone, Alaina had proved she was more than capable of holding in the ring with women half her age! It was Astrid who really needed to be worried - especially as Alaina turned over in the air with agility Astrid wouldn't have expected she still had!

She had to think quickly, putting aside her astonishment and awe for such a legend. Just as it looked like all was lost, as Alaina's shadow fell over her, Astrid threw her weight to the side, trying to roll away. She could only hope she would make it in time!

Alaina flew through the air and came crashing down.... hitting nothing but the canvas! She groaned and rolled to her side, curling up in a ball as she cradled her abdomen in her arms. Her gamble paid off but not for her, it paid off for Astrid! Alaina was now wheezing after the painful landing knocked the wind out of her, giving Astrid a very big window of opportunity to take the fight back to Alaina. The amazon felt like she had worked away at Astrid, having her right where she wanted her. Now Alaina's error put her in serious jeopardy!

She had been gambling on this, knowing full well that it would be all or nothing - but in the end, it worked! Astrid swerved out of the way just as Alaina was coming down on her, letting the veteran go crashing down headlong into the mat! The Norsewoman looked up with a smirk on her face, knowing full well the gravity of the situation. She had done it!

"Not bad, not bad indeed," Astrid said. "Whoever wins our spar...it doesn't matter. You've already proven you have what it takes to hold a candle to any of us!" That said, Astrid wasn't one to leave anything she started unfinished, and she went to roll back onto the downed Alaina, moving to hold her back down and pin her shoulders. "One..."

Alaina was motionless as Astrid pinned her immediately, a smart move by the young woman. Alaina was still as the count reached two but at a two and a half she arched her back to bridge out of the pin and break the count! Alaina slumped back to the mat, as while she successfully prevented the spar from ending her body was hurting. 187 pounds of 44 year old amazon flew high into the air and had a hard landing... she was still trying to recover and wide open for Astrid to keep hammering her, a feeling that left Alaina with a sinking feeling in her gut.

Alaina had certainly put up a strong fight up to this point - but this time, as she bore her weight down on her shoulders, Astrid was confident she had had her. They had both been going at it for a while now, and giving their all. Astrid was starting to tire out - she could only imagine that things would be worse for a woman older than her, even with Alaina's prowess. And for that matter, Alaina had just wiped out with a move that Astrid was sure would have ended the match had she hit it. This looked like the perfect time to go for the pin.

And yet, Alaina was full of surprises, and they were hardly over now! She managed to kick out once again, making Astrid's eyes grow wide as she drew back. "Incredible..." was all she muttered, looking on with awe. But a grin crossed Astrid's face now, as she couldn't let herself get starstruck when she had something to prove. "Then...I'll just have to try harder to keep you down!" the Norwegian called out, drawing back a fist to pound it into Alaina's face!

While she did kick out, she wasn't prepared for Astrid to pounce so quickly. The fist struck Alaina's face like a hammer, cracking against the side of her face as her skull flew back and smashed back down against the mat. Alaina groaned and covered her face in her hands as she kicked the mat, clearly stunned by the powerful strike that just smashed her in the face! The crushing blow clearly left Alaina stunned and wide open for more follow up offense by Astrid, the last place she wanted to be in this now somewhat lengthy spar! Both women were giving it their best, making this feel more like a match than a spar.

Astrid's fist landed on its mark, and the Norwegian's smile grew a little wider at the sight of it. She was having some impact on how this bout was going; that much was apparent by how Alaina shrunk back against the canvas. But if her efforts proved to work that time...she saw no reason to not follow it up with another go!

"Still not fighting back, are you?" Astrid taunted, pulling her fist back to let loose another punch for the Amazon's face. She wasn't sure what she could expect in response, but she would be eager to see!

The second punch hammered Alaina's eye leaving her covering her face with a hand again! Asteid was now doing a lot of talking asAlaina grit her teeth, feeling her face puff and swell up a bit. Her eye was 't swelled shut but it was going to be a bit tough to see. Alaina was in a foggy daze trying to get out from under Astrid.

The punches surely jarred Alaina but she did try to cool her legs close to mule kick Astrid in the abdomen as hard as she could in order to at least create enough space to rise back up to her feet!

With another punch landing, Astrid's grin was only growing wider. She felt confident and in control; she was really turning things in her favor! She was sure that with a little more of this, it wouldn't be hard for her to keep the veteran down. Earlier in their spar, Astrid might have been afraid of hurting Alaina with this - but the Amazon had more than proved herself capable of withstanding such punishment.

That was certainly the case as Alaina roused herself from her punch-induced daze, fighting back once again despite all odds as she brought her legs up to kick Astrid in the gut. At once, Astrid changed her tone, falling backwards off of Alaina and clutching her stomach with both hands as she bent over in pain. Even in a position like this, Alaina could really pack a punch!
