Asuka Hisashi vs. Rosie Soto

Asuka got onto her knees and coughed and spluttered as her windpipe was re-opened for business. She sank down onto her butt with her knees bent and feet either side of her hips, even managing to gasp for air in a beautiful-looking way that the lightweight division seemed to have mastered. After a moment, she felt confident enough to stand back up, thankful that the referee had prevented Rosie from attacking her while she was down.

But as soon as she started to stand back up, the referee moved aside and let Rosie get at her again. Instead of allowing her to have her way, Asuka hopped up onto the middle rope and launched herself like a missile towards the girl in red, spinning in the air so she'd land feet-first against Rosie's chest in a springboard dropkick! With some luck, she'd end up putting the girl flat on her back.

Rosie was uptight about the referee allowing her opponent time to recuperate. She remained where the ref left her, standing near the center of the ring with her arms crossed and a frown on her face. Soto would roll her eyes and groan audibly in annoyance when Asuka began to straight up flirt with the ref in the middle of the match. If she was capable of lashing out and womanhandling both her opponent and the ref, she would have snapped and done it the moment Asuka bit her lip and responded to the man's advances.

With her opponent finally ready to go, Rosie would begin to ready herself for Asuka by taking a stance, but just as she did, the young woman springboarded off the middle rope and came flying at her with a dropkick! The attack was abrupt and caught Rosie off guard. Asuka's feet made contact with her modest chest and sent her falling back hard!

"OOOF!" Rosie groaned. She managed to recover by rolling back onto her hands and knees. She shook her head to find her bearings before rising up to her feet. Rather than charge at her foe to seek immediate revenge, she'd comment for the purpose of venting and trying to goad Hisashi into another attack.

Asuka was looking tired by this point, as most lightweights would, coated in sweat and panting for air. Their typically smaller size and lack of musculature meant they didn't really have the impressive stamina of the bigger weightclasses, which was either a blessing or a curse depending on how each girl liked to fight. Typically, it just meant their matches were quicker, but more action-packed and consistently exciting than fights between bigger girls.

Still, Asuka was determined to re-take the initiative, rolling backwards onto her feet after landing from her dropkick. As soon as she was up, and Rosie was too, she charged at her again and leapt into the air to try and rock Rosie's skull with a flying knee to the face! She was thinking just to land as many big, hard hits as possible to flatten her opponent, and eventually it might keep her down long enough to get a pin.

Rosie had been trying to hide her fatigue, but she was certainly feeling the effects of the grueling match, as well. The red clad lightweight wiped the sweat from her brow just in time to see Asuka speeding at her yet again. Rosie watched her foe carefully. As soon as the streamer's feet left the canvas, she knew it meant bad news. Rosie would bend backwards, falling to the canvas into a sloppy bridge. It wasn't well executed, likely due to her tiredness in the heat of the moment, but it was enough to help her avoid being taken down by a speeding Asuka.

Rosie would turn and begin to push herself up to her bare feet. She'd take a second to find her bearings before charging at Asuka. Soto intended to turn the tables by aiming a running knee at Hisashi's head to try and take her down and stun her. Though she needed a second to recover from her own desperate dodge, she banked sprinted towards her foe and banked on Asuka needing time to reorient herself after landing in order to land her next move!

Asuka missed by a fairly safe margin, drifting over the top of Rosie and just barely managing to land on both feet. She stumbled a little bit while her momentum carried her, but eventually regained her balance and spun to face her opponent again. Having her back turned to Rosie for so long wasn't something she'd have liked to do, if she could avoid it, but there was no avoiding it this time.

Just as expected, Rosie had been fast to her feet, and was rushing her down and leapt into the air to hit Asuka with a flying knee of her own! Asuka gambled on which knee would come up, then ducked left, raised her right hand flat, and hoped to have Rosie crash into it belly-first. If she picked the wrong direction, Rosie's knee would crack her in the skull and knock her down.

Rosie was able to show off some of her resourcefulness in dodging her rival lightweight's aerial move. She bridged back as hard and quickly as she could muster. Any instability in her bridge was overlooked in the heat of the moment. Rosie quickly tried to turn the tables. She closed in quickly on Asuka with bad intentions in mind. The twin tailed wrestler raised her knee in an attempt to strike the streamer, but she was met with a quick, hard palm strike!

"Uggghhh!" Rosie groaned as she felt the air leave her lungs. She immediately began to step back, coughing a bit while trying to breathe in quickly. Her cheeks went red for a moment as she retreated towards the center of the ring, and then further if she got the chance, towards the ropes on the opposite side.

And her gamble paid off in her favour! As soon as she realised Rosie had missed, Asuka pushed forwards with her palm to make the impact all the worse for the girl in red. Rosie was at least lucky enough to avoid falling on her back, and managed to get her feet under her just before she landed, so she only stumbled back a few steps, winded and gasping. Things had worked out just the way Asuka had wanted.

She pushed up off of her knee and chased the other lightweight across the ring, and reached out to grab her by the arm and pull her in. If Rosie didn't interrupt her or fight back in any considerable way, Asuka would drag her in and swing her knee up hard into the leotard-clad girl's flat, non-muscular abs. If that was successful too, Asuka would slip around behind her and throw one arm around Rosie's throat, and push Rosie's head forwards with the other to lock in a tight sleeperhold!

Rosie had tried to put some distance between herself and Hisashi. It seemed like the most advantageous thing for her to do at the time since she had just suffered a hard blow to the belly. But her efforts in getting away from Asuka were stifled when the lady reached for her arm. Rosie would pull her arm away immediately, protesting by yelling: "Unhand me!" while still trying to takes steps away from her foe.

She was almost near the ropes when she felt a tug on the fabric of her leotard draw her back. Rosie's eyes widened and she blushed slightly as she felt herself being pulled back towards the center of the ring. She hadn't expected her foe to grab her there, or pull on her attire. Rosie would turn to try and escape again, but would be met by a swift knee aimed at her core!

"Urf!" The twin tailed lightweight groaned softly as Asuka's knee impacted her flat tummy. The strike caused Rosie to double over long enough for Asuka to follow up by stepping behind her and trapping her in a Sleeper hold of her own! Rosie would place a hand on the arm wrapped around her neck. She'd begin to flail and make an effort towards reaching the ropes across the ring.

Asuka did her best to keep Rosie in place while she choked the poor girl, planting her feet into the canvas and leaning back to force the other lightweight to drag her entire weight along, plus the friction caused by the position. Hopefully, the lack of breathing combined with the extra effort she had to put in just to move would be enough for Asuka to soundly put her into a dreamy little nap in the middle of the ring.

Unfortunately, Rosie was more determined to win than Asuka realised, and she powered straight on to the ropes. As soon as her hand clamped around the top rope, the referee hooked his arms around Asuka to grab her into a full nelson, and carried her back to the middle of the ring. She was a little confused as to why the referee was getting so physically involved with the two, but didn't show it. If he wanted to, the referee could've easily squashed both Asuka and Rosie without breaking a sweat.

Despite not being uncharacteristically inefficient in her travel towards the ropes, Rosie seemed to finally make it there after a brief fit of struggling. The referee stepped in to break the hold nearly immediately. The young woman remained near the ropes, finding her way to a knelt position while gasping to take the air that was choked out of her just now. After taking in a few deep breathes, Rosie would look towards the center of the ring to see Asuka standing there, grinning with her hands on her hips. Seeing the lady take her this lightly almost outright angered Rosie. But rather than blurt out obscenities or charge at Asuka, she merely gave her a blank stare.

Rosie would tug on the ropes and pull herself up towards her feet while maintaining her blank expression. She nodded to the referee to signal that she was ready to go. Rosie's default demeanor, her true personality was always one that was cold and calculating. And she would assumed this attitude whenever she being serious. The lightweight would adjust her leotard and step towards her opponent before holding her hands out in front of her and widening her stance. Soto seemed ready to get right down to business. She wasted no words on her foe. She paused and stood there waiting for her opponent to approach her, seemingly prepared with some sort of answer.
