One thing to the Next - Drifter/Clara

The pair hit the reset as it were, both young wrestlers taking a fresh position upon the canvas just a few feet apart. Kay couldn't get rid of the pleasant smile on her face no matter how hard she tried when the two stood to face each other once more. She bit on her lower lip, fighting to become more serious or at least straight faced in front of her new found British friend, but she could not. She was enjoying Clara's company, and truth be told she was having a lot more fun then she thought she would have. Kay had sparred with a few members of the LAW roster, but most had been a few weight classes above her, and perhaps a little too serious at times with their moves during said spars. Kay had learned very little or nothing at all from those she had sparred with previously, as most had just tossed her around or claimed to be helping her work her endurance. Drifter felt her toughness was probably her only quality in the ring right now, it was something she had no desire to build on further.

With Clara however, she felt like she was beginning to get a grasp of the wrestling side of... well... wrestling. She was the same weight class, had plenty of experience and seemed express it and teach it quite well. Plus she was beautiful, something Drifter found she could not deny or grow tired upon looking on. Clara was quite a sight in her training attire, more of her soft skin left exposed to reveal a very nice figure and frame. Drifter was slightly toned even when relaxed, where as Clara was softer yet well curved and slim. She did not look like the kind of woman who could bench press a car... however her looks was very deceiving. Clara was more than a capable fighter, something Kay had not been able to see when the two first met, seeing Clara as innocent and sweet. That was over coffee however, right now Clara was where she truely belonged, in the confines of the ring.

Nothing could be more opposite than the seemingly sweet girl in the coffee house, and in truth Kay certainly liked seeing this side of Clara... the fighter within her. It was only proven more after the two clashed together in another Collar-and-Elbow tie up once again. Kay thought she was ready for it, looking to try and emulate what Clara had done to her only moments ago to show her what she had learned. Plus, she liked the idea of playfully getting the best of Clara with a take down and a pin. As Kay was about to transition however, Clara revealed that she had other ideas, quickly grasping at her right arm, shifting in a fluid motion, bringing that right arm with her to an awkward position, forcing Kay to near double over with instinct against the pressure and twist against her wrist and shoulder.
"Ahh!" Kay yelped more from shock then the actual pain, which thankfully wasn't too harsh, but present and sharp enough to show that Clara had her good and held no intent to let go.

Naturally Kay tried to reach for the ropes at first as an easy escape, but her reach was shy, and Clara corrected their positioning with a firm tug and a twist to keep her wrist in place with Drifter's free arm soon becoming too far from the ropes. Kay had seen this move applied to many fellow wrestlers on the TV... and had watched as they would flip and rotate to either force release or counter the hold. Like hell could she do that! Kay knew if she attempted such a thing she would probably just crash straight into her head. After falling off the turnbuckle earlier she was in no mood to make a further show of herself, especially in front of Clara.

"Ow! You got me good! W... what do I do here?" Kay yelped, unsure of what to do or where to go. She was not ashamed to ask for help given the nature of the spar, she was here to learn after all and she found she was genuinely trapped. Kay was certain she could probably drag her arm free with enough determination, but it would clearly be a painful process, and one that would probably do lasting damage in an actual match. Her pain threshold was beyond remarkable to be sure, but there was no point hurting herself... Toughing it through moves wouldn't be a great option in an actual match. By now, both her shoulder and wrist were beginning to develop a sharp sensation, and Clara was actually being light with the basic yet seemingly effective hold. Finding out how to escape it was a must for now and the future.

One of the things Clara was planning to do once she retired was either work for...or possibly open a wrestling school. She had fun teaching quite a few people, men and women alike, the basics and some advanced techniques of wrestling. As such, she knew how to take things with a relative beginner like Kay, someone who was more of a brawler than aware of the more "technical" side of wrestling.

Still, she had to note that if it were to come to exchanging actual strikes, it is more than likely that the Drifter would easily beat the Shadow Lord. Clara had a bit of physical strength behind her, but Katherine's body (as well as earlier lock up) let her know that Kathy likely had strength in spades...and if used well to throw a punch into her...or just throw her onto the ground, it would definitely take quite a bit out of the British girl. The match between them might not be as one sided as Kay was thinking it would be.

While she was thinking of Kay as a competitor and a trainee in this spar...the Brit couldn't help but admire her foe's figure, a slight blush on her face betraying some of her thoughts in regards to how she found her partner on looks. In addition, Kathy so far was one of the kindest people she ever met in LAW...and maybe all throughout her time in Japan period. She was definitely happy for the accident that lead the 2 to meet.

Clara would shake the thoughts on Kay as a friend from her head for the time being however. She had to focus on helping her get better, and going easy on her just because they were friends wouldn't get either of them far. After another lock up, she would trap Kay in a slightly weakened wristlock, wanting to see how she would try to escape...or to offer advice if she needed it.

The former she would try to go for first, trying to instinctively reach for the ropes...but with a tug, Clara would lead her back into the middle of the ring, not letting her get off that easily.

Which lead to the Drifter asking Clara as to what to do: "If you can't reach the ropes, you could duck, and step right under my arms to untwist your wrist and counter with a wristlock of your own!"

"There is another way I thought of, watching some Judo fights. Press your back to your opponent's front, and Hip Toss them forward!", Clara would give Kay 2 possible ways to escape, keeping her arm trapped to see whether she could execute either of the maneuvers that she mentioned...

"Ooof!" Kay winced as Clara certainly had a good wristlock on her, finding herself near dropping to one knee as the pain from the twist made her instinctively try to move away from the pressure. Whilst not in blinding pain, Clara was certainly letting her know how the basics of wrestling could sure be effective in a fight. For a puncher like Drifter, it was inevitable that wrestlers would learn her style quickly and look to put her arms out of commission. Learning the counters was imperative. Listening intently, Clara soon offered some methods of release. Ducking and turning to counter the move sounded like the easiest... but Kay quite enjoyed the thought of the more challenging approach.

"Sure... Let's see if I can manage... uugh... a flip." Kay grimaced between slightly clenched teeth. Slowly she shifted herself, pressing her back up against Clara, having moved towards the pain to finally relinquish some of the discomfort. Whilst the urge to duck, twist and counter was still strong, Drifter instead managed to position herself where she could attempt the flip.
"Ooo! Nope!" Drifter yelped out, realising at once that her movement was all wrong, as all she did was cause herself more discomfort and pain, realising that she had somehow turned a little wrong, with her arm near becoming caught behind her back. Retreating back to her original position, Drifter transitioned again, a little blush clear on her cheeks from embarrassing herself with a failed move.

This time she went for a more simple duck, twisting and soon finding herself in a counter position upon Clara, now twisting her arm instead of vice versa. She eased the pressure after the initial clinch, looking more to hold Clara in place as she managed a playful giggle, biting on her lower lip.
"Nailed it... first time." Kay lied, knowing full well it took her a second alternative attempt at escaping.
"So.... do you give up? You ready to tap out? No one can escape from the Drifter wrist lock! Did you know this was my finishing move?" Drifter added with a playful tone, giving a few playful grunts when she inflicted some mock pressure. Kay would eventually apply some actual force, no doubt to try and force a little yelp from her captive, but otherwise it was not fully applied. Still, given her current angle, she was able to sneak a good look upon Clara's form once again whilst she was otherwise distracted by the hold.

Kay bit on her lower lip ever so gently, trying to hide a blush as she kept mild pressure on Clara's wrist to keep her from looking at her face. Again, nothing tense... but enough to keep her captive distracted.
"So... umm... if you don't tap out now, what are your options from here?" Kay whispered, looking to move to the next part of the session, quickly realising she was becoming distracted by Clara's beautiful features. Quickly, an attractive smile soon found its way onto Kay's lips by the time Clara was able to look at her. This was most certainly fun for the Canadian.

Clara paid close attention to Kay trying to counter her move. For a striker, getting neutralizing her arms would be a death sentence, so if she didn't know how to escape arm holds, her probability of losing would go up. Kathy would at first attempt to flip Clara over her head, but quickly found difficulty in the task, Clara letting out a small giggle when she noticed a blush on Drifter's face.

The simpler transition would be much more successful, as Kay ducked and twisted under Clara, trapping her in a wristlock of her own. Clara grunted when the blunette applied a bit of pressure, before easing it up, giggling at the Shadow Lord...and playfully lying to her about succeeding with the hold and "taunting her":

"If wristlock is your finisher, I wouldn't dare to think what would happen if I taught you an armbar...", she said with mock fear, smiling at Drifter...before yelping in pain as she applied a bit more pressure to the hold once more.

As Kay asked what Clara could do in her position (Kay strangely pulling her face away from her), Clara would press her back to Kathy's front: "Well, I told you about the second way to escape..."

Clara's hip toss would be perfect as she lifted Kay over her back...though trying to make the landing for the Canadian gentlier than it normally was from the move, practically putting her gently to the canvas backfirst

And, keeping hold of her arm, Clara would drop by Drifter's side, wrapping her arms around Kathy's trapped one, pulling on it...yet not applying any pressure to not trap Kay in an armbar:

"How about this? It's difficult to escape normally...can you get to the ropes before you tap?"

"Ooof!... So... that's how you do that one." Drifter gasped out, when Clara was able to show the second method of escape that Kay herself was not able to pull off. Fortunately Clara had been gentle with the wrestling counter, with Drifter's back taking what felt like only half the brunt of what could have been easily a full slam to knock the wind out of her lungs and the senses from her brain. The young Canadian woman was about to sit up when she soon realised that Clara still had a hold of her arm, and remained at her side.

Like a serpent striking its prey, Clara was quick to pull Drifter's arm... not hard, but firmly enough to stretch it out and lock said arm in place. Soon enough, Clara's bare legs methodically slid across Kay's chest, pressing down against her upper stomach, just below her breasts as the other firmly pressed against her chest above. It... wasn't the worst place to be trapped, as Kay found herself blushing a little and quite well and truly caught. Clara was not applying pressure as it where, but simply keeping her contained, before mentioning if she could escape.

'Maybe I don't want to escape.' Were the thoughts that drifted through the Drifter's mind, though she did not have the courage to bring voice to such words as her blush deepened ever so slightly. She made a loose attempt to sit up, but Clara had the weight of her legs and the leverage of her position pushing down on her chest, making for a normally simple task of standing all the more much difficult. Kay was strong for a woman of her size, but she wasn't so certain she could get up from this position without once again hurting herself. Clara made mention of the ropes, and glancing around, Drifter could see the ropes were roughly by her legs... at least what she could see with Clara's rather desirable legs in the way.

Drifter bit on her lower lip, reaching with her leg, not able to really see... and still finding herself caught. Her efforts are what brought discomfort more than Clara applying any pressure as it stood. However, with her efforts Kay was able to hook her heel onto the bottom rope, managing a cute giggle to represent the small victory... though she was in no rush to escape just yet.
"What happens if I can't make it to the ropes and I don't want to tap? You'll have to show me how to escape this one. I don't mind if it's difficult... I'm here to learn from the best." Kay spoke, wearing that pleasant smile on her lips as she was able to turn to Clara, a little confident that her cheeks were not as flushed as moments ago.

Trapping Kay in a Cross Armbar, pushing her legs into her to make sure she wouldn't escape so easily from the hold around her chest...while keeping her arm very close to her own. Clara would notice the stronger blush that crept up on her partner's face. Seeing her slightly helpless like this, Clara found the puzzled state of the Canadian blunette, as well as the positioning of her strong, toned figure, really cute, causing a blush to creep back up on the Brit's face.

Still, she finally figured that the ropes were quite close by to her leg. After a few seconds, Kay would hook her leg around the rope for the rope break...though before Clara would release the hold, she had a question:

"Oh! Hm...Well, one way only works by predicting the hold before it happens. You need to tightly grasp your arms together to block your trapped arm from being hyper-extended.", she would explain, relaxing her grip on Kay's arm further to allow the blunette to test the block out. If she grasped both arms together, she would tug on the arm once more to get it back into the armbar...but if Kay held on tight as she asked her, Clara wouldn't be able to get her partner back into the hold.

"From there you could roll up and trap your opponent in a pin!", she encoraged Kathy to roll and fold Clara into a pin to test the counter out...

"Cool! I'll try it out." Kay quietly spoke, feeling Clara's grip loosen enough to give her freedom of movement. As instructed, Kay brought her arms together, grasping firmly. Kay bit on her lower lip and nodded to Clara, indicating she was ready. Naturally such an opportunity would not be so easily granted, so Kay knew she was going to have to be on her guard at all times in a match, but it was good to discover these techniques as there were plenty of talented wrestlers like GASTER who would pick apart their opponents by crippling limbs.

All at once, Clara began to pull, this time going for an actual Armbar attempt given the force she began to apply. Kay's arms tensed as she took the strain, a small grunt escaping from her lips as she did so. Soon enough, Clara gave further advice and instruction, letting the Drifter know what she could do next... and that was attempt a pin. Given Clara's stunning legs were still across her upper and lower chest, it wasn't going to be an easy feat, but none the less, Drifter began to shift and work, looking to comply with her instructions.

Again... the rawness was revealed. Drifter wasted a lot of movement, no doubt expending more energy then she needed to. A lack of technique that was carried only by sheer determination and what seemed to be a large gas tank of energy hidden within the brawler given she had somehow not gassed herself out during her less than nimble counter attempt. It was clear Drifter could manage despite the lack of training, meaning the young woman had a lot of potential with the right pointers... however there was something earnest and adorable about the way she moved and the effort she put in. It worked for her, revealing how much heart she had... though she could be pointed in the right direction, the watching crowd would no doubt enjoy seeing how Drifter scrambled and battled to escape. It would certainly win a few hearts.

Either way, Drifter managed to shift upwards, giving Clara a cheeky but cute smile as she was clearly pleased with herself. She looked to fold Clara over, but slipped a little, letting out a loud yelp as she did so. Nothing drastic occurred, given the two were on the floor... for one, Drifter was able to slip free and was in a clear attempt at pinning Clara when something somewhere somehow went wrong. She fell upon Clara, mostly catching herself to prevent a half collision, but finding herself in somewhat of a position she did not expect to be.

Kay blushed, lying virtually full bodied on Clara, her torso pressing down against the Brit's. Their faces were no more than an inch or two apart, with Kay able to feel the breathe of Clara against her own beautiful features. A breath caught in Drifter's chest from nervousness and brief embarrassment. She soon picked herself up, rubbing the back of her head with a nervy smile taking over her face.
"I... I'm sorry about that, I really don't know how that just happened. I couldn't have done that for a million dollars if I tried." Drifter yelped. Kay took a moment to realise she was still on Clara, having mounted into her hips, looking at the beautiful woman lying down below her. She tried to save the ineptness of the situation, playfully tucking her thighs in against Clara's sides as she placed her hands on her shoulders.
"Hey!... It's still technically a pin right? I didn't totally mess it up!" Drifter exclaimed with a uneasy giggle.

Clara let Kay carefully grasp her arms together to demonstrate the possible escape from a potential armbar from her opponents. Once the blunette's arms were locked, confirming she was ready for the hold with a nod, Clara pulled back, this time at full force to try and put Kay into the hold, Kay managing to hold on and successfully avoid the hold!

Once the Brit gave advice to her sparring partner on how to force her foe to let go of the hold, namely, trapping them in a pinning predicament, Kay would attempt to do so...but very roughly, trying to pull her body off the ground, and not succeeding a few times. Seeing Kay struggle looked quite adorable to Clara, who couldn't help but cheer Katherine on in her own head.

Eventually, she would manage to push her legs off over her body, folding her for a pin!

...before slipping off of her legs, Kay falling chest first onto Clara's chest, to a small yelp from the shorter Brit. As Kay lifted her head, she saw the blunette's beautiful face, adorned with a cute blush over the situation...something that Clara shared with her sparring partner as the beautiful Canadian was mounted atop of her, the two girls looking at each other with sheepish, embarrassed gazes...before Kay finally apologized...and climbed on top of her, laid her legs across Clara's shoulders hooked her legs for a new pin:

"Heh...not bad! But you need to do it faster. Do it slower, and your opponent can catch you into another hold...", Clara explained before pausing...

...and seesawing Kay onto her back by pushing into her with her legs, rolling over Kay while holding her legs, maintaining a bridge while trapping the blunette in a Jackknife pin!

"Or a pin!", she finally finished.

Kay gasped out when Clara once again began to demonstrate her abilities and experience. She wasted no time shifting her weight and switching the momentum and leverage in an instant. The moment of embarrassment had passed into a slightly different form of awkwardness, given how easily Clara was able to roll Drifter from what was normally a position of dominance into a more compromised position. Kay felt her body near fold in half as Clara pressed her legs upwards, before flipping herself into a bridge to keep her in place. For a lot of movement it was all done so quickly and efficient, and Kay was left bewildered on her back and pinned down with considerable pressure that it felt like the air was being pressed out of her lungs.

"Whoa! Heh! You seem to be able to make a pin attempt from anything and anywhere. It's no wonder Baroness lost to you." Drifter managed to laugh with a little grunt. However she was confident in what technique was required to escape this one. In an actual match she wouldn't have long to form an escape, yet Kay still took a brief moment to catch herself, before building up some strength and momentum, jerking her body to shift her shoulder upwards and break the jackknife pin. Given how quick Clara was to catch Kay, the Canadian looked to take advantage of Clara this time. Given the two had fallen to the side with Kay's flick out, the rookie wrestler was quick to catch Clara's head with her legs, not too roughly given the nature of the training, but firmly enough to catch Clara's neck in a firm headscissors.

Kay wasted no time, as her ankles slapped together when the lock was held. Kay was quick to straighten herself, tensing her thighs a little with Clara finding herself caught in the scissor. She gave her a little squeeze, just to let Clara know escape would not be so simple, but she didn't look to really strangle the British wrestler either... Still, Kay managed a cheeky smile as she leaned on one elbow, watching Clara as no doubt the British young woman was no doubt formulating ways to escape. It was a joy to watch to be certain.

"So... how does one escape this?" Kay whispered. She didn't doubt Clara had something up her sleeve, though at the same time it was strangely fun to watch Clara squirm and writhe in the firm hold.

"Heh...y-yeah...", Clara would speak with a bit of nervousness in her voice at the mention of Baroness. She still had bad memories regarding her contest with the Baroness, fearful over the looming potential match LAW might book after she was done with the Lightweight tournament...

Distracted by her thoughts, she would yelp as Kat got her shoulder off of the ground, breaking the pin, and forcing the Brit onto the floor, Before Clara would act, Kay would quickly ensnare her with her long legs, pressing her thighs into her head as she crossed her ankles for a weakened...but slightly uncomfortable headscissors!

"Mmmf...", Clara let out at her predicament. Though Kay's thighs were fully clothed, she couldn't help but blush at her predicament. Something about the headscissors made it quite a...lewd move to her. The Canadian would add some force into the move as well for a split second, playfully taunting her sparring partner as it added to the intimacy of the move.

She wouldn't let her thoughts distract her for very long as Kay asked her about escaping the move. Wordlessly, Clara would grab at her foe's ankles, and press her feet against the canvas of the ring...

...before she used them to lift herself off the mat, and flip over Kay, landing rear-first on blunette's chest as she trapped her in yet another pin!

"Like so! Takes a lot out of you though...", she would tell Kay, turning to face the Canadian while still red-faced...
