Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
"Maybe..." Marissa muttered, though she was still mostly seeing the downside to things as they were. "But you never hear of the big stars who started off with such heavy losses...And I sure as hell don't know of any who had been around as long as I have with not even a single fan recognising them..."
Whilst Marissa didn't come into the world of wrestling for fame, it certainly did hurt that she had yet to have a single LAW fan recognise her outside of the ring. Even the most hated stars in the company were still known in passing.

Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
Kameko listened to Marissa as it seemed the core of her issue was beyond win/loss record, but also the lack of fan recognition as she expressed the lack of attention from the fans. Kameko paused to think this over, she had not much of a fan base given she was new here so she was on a similar position but Marissa was here longer so a lack of fans was bound to be more noticeable. Still...
"A reaction from the crowd comes from your ability to connect with them. Good or bad, it is all about giving a reason to get invested. Someone who sulks when things get tough isn't appealing to cheer or boo against. It is far from too late to make that connection, you just need to look at yourself and work to improve upon that. You have talent, you even have the spunk if need be you just need to show it off and get some confidence." Kameko advised, pointing out her sulking and in-defeat aspect of this was not gonna get people invested and that she could still change both that persona and her record to get a greater connection.

Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
"Eugh..." Marissa knew what Kameko was saying, and got the message, but she didn't want to admit it. Like a child looking for any excuse, her face was a furious one, but Kameko didn't have to look too deeply to understand she was getting through.
"Yeh...but when you get such a shit start...it puts a dampener on the whole damn thing...before it's even gotten going...no-one likes a jobber after all, and they are lying if they say otherwise..."

Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
Kameko listened to Marissa, hearing her words get through to her even if she tried to deny it as she could understand such frustration but given the dialogue seemed to be registering for one she aimed to add on to it.
"Not too sure on that, some jobbers have big fan followings. But that is beside the point, you should see this not as the end for you but the chance to tell a story that rarely gets told. The girl who rose past early jobber labels to become a beast! I've seen talent in you, you can win you can go on a tear. Worst to first baby! That is the mindset you need to have if you want to get out of this slump, cause it is all mental. You have the physical talent and if you train you will only improve. You just gotta beat that naggy negative funk side trying to keep you down!"

Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
Listening to Kameko, a few things seemed to click. There certainly wasn't anything to disagree with, though Marissa didn't appear to loudly agree either. Though there was one thing she attached to.
"Great...Marissa with the Jobber Cult..." Her voice with a laugh to it, to show she was atleast turning a little brighter.

"Hey, people who support you support you. Even if not for a glamours reason, besides makes it all the better as you work your way up the ranks. Step one Jobber Cult, the next step and beyond the Ass Kicking Cult. That's how you gotta picture it." Kameko said with a grin before she sat up and walked over offering a hand to Marissa.
"Just depends if you are willing to take that step. It's all on you, nobody else but it is a step you can make." Kameko said getting her point of this slump being on a state of mind and more importantly one Marissa can overcome if she is willing to give the effort.

Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
Marissa stayed silent yet again as words of advice were given. All of this was alot to take in, alongside the fact that even if this were a spar, she had lost yet again. When that hand came her way, she was quick to accept it, rising to her feet with a pull from Kameko in which she'd follow-suite with a shaking of that hand with a brisk grip.
And a single, if heartfelt mutter.
"Thanks..."

"No problem, now I say we go and let this soreness subside." Kameko adivsed with a grin as she was glad she had this chat with what she just assumed was one thing but found something better. And it seemed even if nothing else Marissa was willing to consider it as Kameko helped Marissa up and would lead to the locker room.

Re: Kameko T./Marissa W. - To Make Matters Worse...
With her tantrum now in the past, and seemingly a confidant gained before her, Marissa held a little smile on her face. There was still much to be done in the ring, but atleast now she could set her attitude in the right direction.
