Cagefighter and the Shadow Lord (For Jalter)

"Heh...I should've expected you to enter...and I shall vanquish you once more, Cagefighter!", Clara said to Alyssa earnestly, with a friendly smile on her face as she slipped back into her Shadow Lord character...

...before she saw a puzzled expression on Alyssa's face, curious about what she wanted to ask her...but it seemed like the blonde couldn't get the question out of her:

"What is it?"

Finally, Alyssa seemed to get it out of her...raising slight confusion from Clara. What was wrong with asking to be better? The fact that they were rivals? Or the upcoming lightweight qualifier...as well as the tournament likely putting them against each other? In a way, Alyssa was asking her potential enemy to help her...and it was on Clara to decide whether to help her or not:

"I wouldn't say you were terrible in the ring. Far from it. It seems like it's easier to go into wrestling from MMA than the other way around..."

"But yeah, you were kicking my butt in that match! So you are far from a bad wrestler."

"That being said...sure! I'll help you out! Let's head to the ring..."

As Clara turned from Alyssa, and motioned her friendly rival to follow her...a voice from Clara's subconscious spoke to her:

"What are you doing you idiot?! She is an enemy! Why are you helping someone who could impede your progress?!"

But another voice within her head fought back against that argument:

"If you don't face strong foes, it's hard to better yourself. I don't mind helping her get strong as long as her strength makes me get better!"

While her negative voice were far from satisfied, it kept quiet enough that the raven-haired Brit could ignore it, and roll into the gym's ring, waiting on Alyssa to do the same...

[Devastated]

Alyssa was actually quite surprised when Clara took her question so...calmly and friendly, she had expected some sort of exclamation followed by a blunt refusal, so it came as a bit of a shock. Though Clara was one of the few who didn't seem to dislike her for her attitude or style of combat...so perhaps that was why?

She would shake her head, trying to ignore the shock from Clara's reaction to her question. Watching the raven haired Brit gesture her towards the ring. Alyssa would follow the fellow Brit towards the ring. The cocky blonde would roll into the ring right after Clara. Moving up to her feet, she'd bounce a bit on her feet.

"Okay then..." Alyssa let out as she would look on at Clara.

" So like...You might have gathered, but I ain't all that good at you know. Wrestling moves? I know how to punch, kick, put people into holds. However, throws and such, that's like Spanish or some shit to me." the Brutish Brit tried to explain her situation.

Clara did a bit of stretching as she saw Alyssa roll into the ring, and while she proceeded to explain her plight, having less of an issue with holds and strikes...but more so with throws and other similar moves:

"Hm...lighter girls like us do rely less on throws to get our opponents to the floor. We usually do so via strikes or technical takedowns aimed at legs...but having moves reliant on physical strength is definitely useful in a match. And from our bout, I felt that you have the physical strength to pull something off, haha...", she giggled as she remembered their very painful bout:

"So...do you want me to do the move on yourself? Or did you want to try something out?"

[Devastated]

Alyssa would roll her shoulders a little as she got up into a stand in the ring, she would listen to what Clara said and yeah it was true, but those types of moves usually did help...after all one similar such move was what brought her defeat at Clara's hands. She would crank her neck from left to right, " Like...I don't even know where to begin.." Alyssa said as she would step up closer towards Clara.

" It might be better if you try something out, or show me some good moves and I'll figure out which suit me?" Alyssa let out as she would bump her fist at Clara's shoulder. " Don't worry, I can take a few hits. You should know after all." Alyssa let out as she would flash a wide grin towards Clara.

As Alyssa offered herself up for a move showcase, the Shadow Lord would nod at her friendly rival's grin: "Sounds good! So...I think let's start from as basic as slam as one could get."

With that, Clara would lightly grasp the blonde's head under her arm, grasp at her trunks, and try to lift her up into the air...and carefully plant her onto the ring canvas for a slightly weakened, but still quite bumpy version of a regular Vertical Suplex!

"How's that?", Clara asked as she guided Alyssa back to her feet.

[Devastated]

Alyssa would nod her head, she knew that this would probably hurt but Clara had been able to beat her with these type of wrestling styled slams, so Alyssa wanted to learn and become better, if that meant she had to learn how to do these styles of slams then she was going to take whatever pain she needed.

Clara soon took a hold of her head and and then grasped at the trunks of the blonde, lifting Alyssa up and then slamming her down, or more bumping her down. Grunting out a bit Alyssa would grumble as she got guided up towards her feet. " Good stuff...but not as impactful as I'd like." Alyssa let out as she would then crank her neck.

" Mind if I try doing it?" The Brit would ask of her rival.

"Well...I didn't want to put too much strength into it to hurt you. You'll be taking a lot of hits on your back if you want to learn how to slam.", Clara laughed, as she nodded to Alyssa's request, lowering her head and back slightly to allow the Brit to Suplex her.

[Devastated]

Nodding her head a bit as she looked on at Clara, hearing her laugh out as she did. Alyssa would move in and try and mimic what Clara had done earlier. Looking to grab a hold of the head of the raven haired wrestler and try and put it in under her armpit. She'd try and grab at the hips of Clara. Taking a deep breath.

Then she'd try and lift and swing Clara back down onto the canvas, looking to nail a vertical suplex. Trying to dampen it a bit and resist the slam as she didn't exactly wanna hurt Clara or anything of that sort.

Despite Clara taking countless slams on her back, they still hurt quite a bit. Being able to take a slam well was a mark of whether a wrestler was durable enough to make it through their career, however, and it took more than a few slams to put the Shadow Lord away in matches.

Still, that didn't mean that, even with Alyssa managing to weaken the move significantly, that she felt no pain from the slam, letting out a quiet hiss as her back hit the mat:

"Not bad!", she would quip, stroking her back: "Thank you for weakening it. Wanna try again? Practice makes perfect..."

[Devastated]

Alyssa would look on at Clara as she took the slam in stride, probably a bit better than the blonde had....looking on as Clara quipped to her, Alyssa would grin a bit in response. " No big, I can try and hit you full force this time if you want." Alyssa teased as she would flash a wide toothy grin towards the raven haired girl.

Deciding to grab onto Clara's hand and start to guide her up to her feet. Alyssa would try and guide the fellow Brit's head in under her right armpit. This time her left hand would grip onto Clara's tights. "heave...ho!" Alyssa let out as she would try and swing Clara up into the air, hold her upside down for a second or two...

Just making it seem as if she was going to try and nail Clara with full force, but she still tried to swing Clara downwards as gently as she could for the second Vertical suplex attempt.
