Molly Forster [D] vs. Mika Yuriko

Cradling her arm in her hand, Molly couldn't help but shudder. She was fighting hard through this match, but it had gone on for some time, and her body could only handle so much of being thrown around to and fro, taking the blows it did. She panted hard to fill her lungs, rolling over on her back in preparation to rise. But even then, she felt as though something heavy was weighing down on her chest.

The Englishwoman quickly shook herself. She told herself she couldn't stay down; too much depended on it! She sucked in a breath, going to push herself off the ground - but she didn't get far from where she lay. Molly, in her haze of determination, had taken her eyes off of Mika for too long, and in that time she had ascended the top rope to flip off and come crashing down onto her! Molly's eyes went wide in that split second, just before the impact hit her like a ton of bricks. She was flattened onto her back, letting out a scream as all the air was kicked out of her lungs. The crowd sent up a raucous cheer at the same time, seeing such a climactic moment in the match!

The move connected! Mika inwardly could not help but cheer though quickly she clutched her chest in pain as the high flying move had not come without some cost. Especially in her present fatigued condition.

Irregarldess, the moment was now. After his biggest finisher this had to be the end. Mika had nothing left to give and if she did not get the win here then perhaps victory would elude her entirely. She needed to take advantage and take advantage quickly, so with a grunt she worked to flip over Molly so she'd land back first before she grasped one of her legs to lift in a hooked pin as the referee saw this and moved into position for the count.

And, if fortune was to favor Mika for her efforts, the last count.

ONE!!!

Even if Mika had been winded from her own move, clutching her chest where it had absorbed the impact of crashing down into Molly from such a height, the Englishwoman barely registered it from where she was laying flat. Her head was spinning, and she couldn't vocalize much more than a groan. So naturally, she was in no shape to fight back - meaning she would be wide open for Mika to get her in place to hook the leg. And so too did she not show any resistance on the second count!

"TWO!!!"

After such an intense match, the whole crowd watched on edge for if the next count would land. This could well be the end of the bout!

This was it! This had to be it, that's what Mika told herself over and over again. Molly seemed dead to rights at the count of two and she was so close to getting a hard fought victory. All she needed was one more second and this was there, she held her pin tight as the crowd waited in eager anticipation for whatever was to come next.

THREE!!! That is it, the winner of this match by pinfall Mika Yuriko!"

And with that, the count was made. Mika had done it. The match was far from easy, but she found a way to hold off the talented new single's competitor at bay as she immediately flopped off of her and panted a bit. Clearly the effort had exhausted her as she was pushed to her limits so she needed a moment to just catch her breath. But eventually, she was able to stand on her own feet as the referee raised her hand making the victory official. Mika took a moment to reveal in her victory with a "V for Victory" pose, but then quickly turned towards Molly as she lowered a hand and offered it for her worthy competitor to try and help her up.

One more second. That was all Mika needed - and soon enough, that one second had passed, with Molly's shoulders still pinned against the mat. The bell rang, and the crowd erupted in cheers and applause, for the effort shown by the two young ladies as much as for Mika's victory. It had been a long and grueling match for both of them, forcing each to fight to the end of their limits, and both had more than demonstrated their prowess in the ring.

But as far as Molly was concerned, that just wasn't enough. She lay back on the ground with a sigh, out flat as she gazed longingly up at the ceiling. What would her sister think, she thought? She had given it her all, in her first match on her own no less, and still lost. She had really wanted to impress her, but she'd come up short nonetheless. Molly could feel a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. All she could think about was how she would explain this to Chelsea...

Then, though, she looked up to see Mika holding a hand out her way. Molly blinked for a moment, but, recovering from her grogginess and from the surprise, she started to sit up, reaching back towards her opponent as the other girl guided her back to her feet. "Ahh..? Thank you..."

Mika offered a tired smile to Molly as she helped her up, both a reflection of just how spent she was even in victory but also of the fact that she seemed to enjoy this bout. Something that would be given clarification with her next statement.

"That...that was, incredible. Might have been the hardest match I've ever had here, y-you were...you are so good! That really could have gone either way and I had a blast though I am probably gonna be sore for a week." Mika said sheepishly, but beyond that one joke at the end she truly meant every word of what she said and gave Molly praise for her ability. Mika knew she won but the the very thin skin of her teeth and that one move or one thing could have easily Molly's way.

Mika was unaware of her worry over her sister, but she wanted to give Molly her due praise even if she just came up short today.

"Huh..?" Where Molly had been looking down at the ground, she now turned back up to look at Mika. Hearing what she had to say, the girl's dejected frown turned to a look of confusion for a brief moment, then changed again as she broke into a big, wide smile. Even if she had lost, Molly still came away with Mika's praise and admiration, and she had given it her all. Mika recognized that, even as her opponent. She even admitted that Molly could have easily won.

To some, such a statement would be indicative that they hadn't gone far enough - but to Molly, it was the relief she needed. She had hoped, all through this match, that she was making a strong first impression. Now she knew that to be true, as Mika could testify - as could the crowd, which was giving them both a cheer even still! Suddenly, Molly felt something swell in her again. It was as if she had never really lost. She had still shown herself capable, and that was what she was out to do in the end!

"Thank you!" Molly said with a short bow. "You did a great job too, don't get me wrong! You deserve the victory, with how hard you fought. But...it means a lot to hear you think I'm on your level, too. If I'm that good, I bet I'm gonna go far!" Once again feeling herself gripped by her usual enthusiasm and optimism, Molly went to pull Mika into a hug in the middle of the ring!

Mika smiled as her words seemed to reach Molly, which was good to hear she wasn't gonna let this match take her down nor should she let it. Though Mika was not prepared for Molly's show of gratitude as she was pulled in for a big hug which the crowd cheered for. After blinking in confusion she quickly smiled and returned the hug in kind as it was nice and a new experience at LAW.

"T-that was sweet. Thank you for the match~" Mika said with a smile, though as she broke the hug she realized she should clear the air about something as there was one aspect of the match Molly had been clueless on.

"F-for the record, I apologize if my attitude appeared to be...bipolar today. I-I kinda have another personality in me that leaks out and she isn't very nice." Mika clarified, as she rubbed her head sheepishly knowing that this would make her sound a bit off to say the least but she figured that Molly deserved the full context.

Molly smiled wider with Mika returning her offer of friendship. Even if she had lost, it didn't matter to her now - she had tried her hardest, proved she had what it took, and made a new friend in the process. She was proud to know that Mika considered her worthy of the gesture. It was as though all her questions had been vindicated.

"No problem!~" she cheered happily. "If you ever want a rematch, you can talk to me about it any time!" But as Mika drew back, she addressed another topic - one that brought Molly's memories flashing back to how her personality seemed to fluctuate so much in their match. Now that Mika mentioned it, it was indeed a strange experience, and hearing the reasons behind it, the Englishwoman paused, raising a finger quizzically to her chin.

"Another...personality? I see..." She nodded, wanting to show she was supportive, but she wasn't really sure just what to say. "Well...you wanna head in the back and talk about it? I just think they're gonna want to clear the ring is all."

Mika seemed to be nervous as she saw Molly think over what she just revealed, it was a fact not many people knew about and she was always concerned it would ruin possible relationships as she'd be dismissed as just "the crazy girl" and nothing more. So Mika was naturally worried about whatever Molly's reaction was to this.

Thankfully, her fears were lifted as while Molly seemed understandably confused she was at least willing to talk with her about it and general topics and still seemed friendly. Mika knew this was something she could not pass up as she smiled and nodded quickly.

"Sure, that sounds great~" Mika said with a big smile, as she would offer to help Molly out of the ring as she was sore but still wanted to make the offer.
