Onigashima vs. The SoCal Connection - Ogre Invasion!

Yukari slammed Kayla into the mat with a scoop slam, and she knew that the move took quite a lot out of her opponent. Meanwhile, Ashley seemed to be planning to interfere, so Shizuka would take the initiative by preparing herself to jump in if Ashley decided to assist her partner.

As for Yukari, she would bend down and grab Kayla, getting her back up onto her feet. Then, she would try to heave her up onto her shoulders, placing her over them as she planned to put her into a torture rack, carrying her around the ring while jerking her body in order to put intense pressure around her spine, dealing even more damage than before.

The oni duo's prediction proved accurate, as Ashley was ready to launch an interference. Seeing her perched on the top rope, the referee ran in to try and dissuade the red-haired girl from carrying out her plans, but she wouldn't be deterred - she jumped off the top rope, aiming a clumsy flying kick towards Yukari. Granted, Ash's experience with moves like this tended to be limited to seeing them and thinking that they looked cool, so it wouldn't be much to counter it.

For Kayla, on the other hand, things were about to get a lot worse. She felt herself draped atop Yukari's shoulders, her back arching against the pressure the blue-painted girl put on her. Tossing her head back, she cried out in pain, and while she tried to pull out, she was quickly cut short from the pain as Yukari jerked her from side to side. She was reaching her limit, and she didn't know how much longer she had. She could just hope that Ash would come through in time...

Holding Kayla in the torture rack, Yukari would make sure to apply more pressure into the hold, looking to weaken her some more. But she saw Ashley coming, and she seemed to be going for an interference as she tried to deliver a flying kick at her way. Seeing the other girl coming, Yukari would just move behind and drop Kayla onto the mat in a rather casual manner as she was able to see the attack clearly.

From there, it would be Shizuka's turn to get into the ring as she would wait for Ashley to pick herself back up while Yukari would get back to Kayla. The red oni would wait for the right moment as she would close in the moment Ashley was on her feet so that she could deliver a sudden superkick right under her chin!

With her partner coming in closer, Kayla looked over towards the girl, turning towards her as much as she could in her current position. She had to withstand the pain, groaning and clenching her teeth as she did. She just had to wait it out, Kayla told herself; soon enough Ashley was going to come crashing into her, and that would be enough to break her and Yukari up. Then they would be free to double team their opponent, and take back the momentum they would need to win this match...

But that plan came up short when Yukari dropped Kayla to the mat, sending the brown-haired girl sprawled out on her side as she landed with a thud, groaning. Ashley, missing her mark, planted on the canvas as well, going skidding to a halt with a pained cry as she received an unpleasant reminder of the momentum she had put behind herself. And when she rolled onto her stomach, starting to pick herself back up, she would only be greeted by a swift kick to the jaw courtesy of Shizuka, sending her flopping backwards once more!

However, at the same time Kayla was pulling herself up as well. While Shizuka was occupied, Kayla thought she could get behind Yukari and surprise her with a headlock from behind, wrenching her back over towards her!

Shizuka went to deliver a kick straight to Ashley's jaw, sending her flopping backwards. But, thanks to this, Yukari's attention wasn't on Kayla, and as a result, she was unable to see her coming from behind. When Kayla wrapped her arms around her neck, locking her in a headlock, the blue demon groaned as her head was pulled back by her opponent.

"Nnnghhh...!!!" Yukari gritted her teeth, trying to calm herself down as her head was wrenched hard by Kayla. Focusing herself, she would try to stop whatever Kayla was doing by throwing an elbow strike at her opponent's body, hoping that her elbow strike would discourage her opponent from doing whatever she was been planning on her.

Taken head-on by Shizuka's kick, Ashley fell back to the mat with a groan, her hands going up to cup her jaw in an attempt to dull the pain. She bounced off the canvas on impact, but still lay there, unable to intervene on Kayla's behalf.

Luckily, it seemed like her partner didn't need the help right now, as she was able to get behind Yukari and haul back on her head, holding it tight. "Haaa-!" she cried out, steeling herself through the hold as she squeezed down onto the blue oni's temples. Keeping up her hold, she tried to stretch at her further, hoping she could pull her down hard enough to compromise Yukari's balance. However, Yukari was still putting up a fight, and Kayla felt it as she took an elbow right to the side of her chest. With an oof, she went staggering back a step. One arm released her head, but the other stayed on for now, albeit with a weaker and easily disturbed grip.

Hitting Kayla's body with her elbow, Yukari could feel her grip on her head weakening. She would try to take this opportunity to free herself by bringing her hands onto Kayla's arm, trying to pry it off of her. Hoping that the grip was weak enough, the blue oni would muster her effort to free herself from the hold as she planned her next course of action.

If she managed to break free, Yukari planned to deliver an attack on Kayla. The moment she managed to break free, she would turn on her heel, looking to deliver a forearm smash right across her opponent's upper chest, looking to leave her winded in preparation for her next attack.

While Kayla stayed on, her hold was only a tentative one now, and it wouldn't take long for her to be forced to let go - something that soon happened, as Yukari managed to yank her hand off of her. Gritting her teeth, Kayla stepped back, the oni forcing her to regroup and reevaluate her plans. Unfortunately, as Kayla would soon discover, she didn't exactly have a lot of time to do that.

Before she knew it, Yukari whipped her body back around, and her arm flew straight for the American girl's chest. With a cough, Kayla sank back, bending over at the knee as she found herself winded and open for whatever the blue ogre had in store.

With a hit to her chest, Kayla was sent onto her knee, and Yukari saw an opportunity to seize her victory over the other team. Knowing that she couldn't let this chance slip away from her fingers, she would close in to her opponent so that she could grab Kayla by her head, pulling her back up onto her feet. She would make sure that Kayla was bent over before her before seizing her arms, locking them behind her into a double underhook position. With that, Kayla would be facing downwards, looking at the canvas under her as the blue oni would prepare herself to execute her attack.

Huffing, Yukari would then try to lift Kayla up, holding her vertically before bringing her down face first into the mat, hitting her with one of her finishers, a lifting double underhook sitout facebuster. Bringing herself into a sitout position while attempting the move, she was hoping that the move could take out her opponent, this allowing her to seize her victory.

Her teeth clenched, Kayla reached up to grab at her chest, trying to shrug off the pain. The muscles in her legs tensed, and she tried to force herself back up on her feet if that's what it would take. One way or another, she told herself, she just couldn't lose this! However, Kayla wouldn't get fully up to her feet - her ascent only delivering her head right into the waiting arms of Yukari, as her eyes went wide with a gasp as she fully realized what she was getting into. The next thing she knew, she was swept off her feet and hanging in midair, and she let out a yelp in panic. She was already sure she wouldn't like this.

Just as quickly as it had begun, it was over, as Kayla went crashing down into the mat hard when Yukari landed with her in tow. A scream of pain left her, and her whole face felt sore, her body slumping in the blue oni's embrace. She felt dizzy, and she gulped to herself as she realized what this meant for her...

Their team had only one chance left, as Ash looked up from where she had fallen, still clutching her jaw. She rolled herself onto her knees before jumping up, trying to ignore the pain enough to get over to where her partner needed her. It might be just what they needed - if she could only get there in time!
