Onigashima vs. The SoCal Connection - Ogre Invasion!

Shizuka's head throbbed after being struck by Kayla's knee earlier. As she groaned in pain on the mat, her opponent then went for a move, wrapping her legs around the red oni's arms behind her, locking her in a lotus lock by bridging her body up. Shizuka's modest chest was thrust forward as she was trapped in the hold, and she could feel intense pressure around her arms, shoulders and back as she was subjected to the hold.

"GUAHHH!!!"

Shizuka cried out in pain as the pain was getting more and more unbearable. She frantically tried to get the flat of her feet on the mat in her attempt to at least get herself a footing. But for now, the red demon was trapped, with little to no chance to escape. As for Yukari, she was looking for the right moment to interfere, but she was afraid that her effort to enter the ring would be thwarted by either of their opponents.

Kayla grit her teeth, focused intently on dealing as much damage as she could to Shizuka in such a position. While the lotus lock wasn't the most powerful of holds, it would hopefully be enough to counteract the red oni's strikes, which Kayla had become well acquainted to by this point in the match. But Kayla wasn't about to use this as a simple rest hold. She was as committed as ever, leaning back further to apply more pressure on her foe.

Shizuka attempted to ground herself, but Kayla wasn't about to let her, maintaining her grip. However, she wasn't going to hold this in forever, and once she was satisfied with her efforts, the brunette was prepared to transition into another hold. She released Shizuka's legs, then, wrapping her arm around her jaw, she pulled her up into a sitting position in front of herself. Then Kayla pulled back harder on the girl's chin as she pressed her knee against her back, executing a rear chinlock. However, in doing so, she had left Shizuka's arms free - but Kayla was convinced that wouldn't be a problem...

Shizuka was trapped in the lotus lock, having trouble thinking of a way to escape thanks to the pain. "Hnnghhhh... nnghahhhh...!!!" She cried out in pain as Kayla continued subjecting her to the hold, but it seemed that Kayla had some other plan as she then released her from the lotus lock, transitioning into another hold, which was a rear chinlock. Kayla placed herself behind Shizuka, pressing her knee against her back, making it hurt even more, causing the red oni to cry out in pain some more. "Uaghhhh!!!!"

Still, this time Shizuka's hands were free, and she realized that there was nothing trapping her hands as she flailed them. Despite the pain, she forced herself to come up with a desperate plan as she would try to bring her hands onto Kayla's that were currently pulling on her chin. The pain on her neck and back was getting more and more unbearable, and she needed to escape in order to stop the pain.

"You can do it, Shizuka-chan! You can do it!!" Meanwhile, Yukari was shouting encouragements to her partner from her corner. She was ready to jump into the ring in case Shizuka was in dire peril.

As she fought as hard as she could to keep her hold applied, Kayla could hear Yukari still shouting words of encouragement to the red oni she had in her clutches. She had to commend them on the strength of their bond with one another, and she could see that functioning as a team came naturally to them. However, she was more focused right now on keeping up the chinlock even despite Shizuka's struggles.

Kayla clenched her teeth, going tense in focus with the red-painted girl's hands clutching at her own. It had become a test of strength as the two pairs of hands struggled against one another, Shizuka trying to pry Kayla's off of her and Kayla trying to hold fast. Her grip was weakening, and she didn't know how much longer she could last. At the same time, she was starting to back towards the corner where Yukari was, not really noticing where she was going.

Shizuka continued struggling to break free, trying to pry those hands off of her chin with her own hands, looking to escape the chinlock. It was clear that it was a contest of strength at this point, and she could tell that Kayla's grip was weakening by each passing second.

"Y-yoshhaaaaa!!!" Shizuka let out a battle cry as she would try to shove Kayla backwards, hoping that by using her strength, she could force Kayla towards the turnbuckle. While it might not generate enough force to actually deal some damage on her, at the very least it should be enough to make Kayla let go of her from the hold. From there, Shizuka would do what was only natural for her as she would try to turn around and tag Yukari in, looking to double-team their opponent.

Kayla could feel her grip slipping, her fingers breaking free from Shizuka's jaw the longer the struggle went on. She could feel her heart beating faster and her breaths coming in at a heated pace. This was really pushing her to her limits, but she was determined to hold on as long as it took. She needed to try. "C'mon, Kay! C'mon, you got her!" Ashley cheered from the sidelines, rooting for her partner just as Yukari was at the same time.

Shizuka, however, had elected to change tactics. With another cry ringing in Kayla's ears, the red oni suddenly shoved back to let Kayla's back impact the turnbuckle. With the aftershock of the blow still felt in her back, the brunette shuddered and finally let go of Shizuka's chin. And while she was stunned, she was wide open for Yukari to enter the ring!

Finally freed, Shizuka would not waste her time as she would quickly turn around and hold her hand out, looking to tag her partner, Yukari, in. Without wasting any second, Yukari would seize this opportunity and slap her friend's offered hand. With little time the two of them had before Shizuka had to get out of the ring, they would take this opportunity to work on Kayla together.

"You ready?!" Shizuka asked her partner, and the lady painted in blue nodded as the two of them stepped away from the corner before delivering their kicks right onto Kayla's midsection, with the two of them trying to deliver their kicks at the same time, hoping to knock the air out of Kayla's lungs with their attacks.

Kayla staggered back, gritting her teeth and clutching her back as she stepped forward from the turnbuckle with her eyes narrowed in determination. Even if it hurt, she made a vow to herself that she would be willing to fight as long as it took. Besides, she told herself, with Yukari tagging in, she would have some time to adjust, going against who she'd noticed was a rather more sedate and methodical adversary than the quick-striking Shizuka. This looked to be more in keeping with how she did things.

What Kayla hadn't anticipated was that Shizuka wasn't merely tagging in her partner, but setting up for a double team! She collected herself just in time to watch as two legs shot out for her, knocking her right in the stomach as she went falling back off her feet. With a newly re-ignited fire of pain burning in her abdomen, Kayla's back slammed into the turnbuckle on the way back, the momentum even causing her head to snap backward from the sharpness of the impact. Groaning, she sunk into the corner, seated against the post and in a daze.

The Onigashima went for a double team attack, hitting Kayla at the same time, kicking at her stomach. Seeing Kayla sunk into the corner, Shizuka then nodded to Yukari before she slipped out of the ropes, leaving their opponent to her partner who then closed in so that she could grab her, pulling her away from the corner.

"Sorry about this, but we're going to win..." Yukari told Kayla as she would slip one arm between Kayla's legs as her other hand would go to her shoulder before she attempted to scoop her up, turning around before attempting to slam her down hard into the mat with a powerful scoop slam. Despite being a simple move, it ought to take quite a lot out of her opponent, giving her more opportunity to attack later.

Simple or no, the two oni knew how to hit hard where it counted, and Kayla was feeling the effects of the pain in her stomach. Panting in a frantic rush, she tried to shake herself enough to clear the cobwebs out of her head, telling herself that she needed to get through it and keep fighting. But before she knew it she was being pulled away from the corner, then lifted up into the air - and with her already dazed state, when she came crashing down on the canvas with enough force to shake it, she was sprawled out flat and vulnerable.

"KAY! NO!" Ashley called out. Seeing her partner in trouble, she started to climb the ropes. It would be a rash move from her to try and intervene, but it looked like Kayla needed it. Heaven only knew what the opposing team was going to do now.
