Teams Meeting Up

Tina sat on the bench in her wrestling gear looking over at Alaina, also in her wrestling gear inside the gym locker room. The tag team had changed mostly in silence as their recent struggled together had been the subject of lots of rumors and publications.

"So, we're gonna snap out of this rotten stretch soon. No way women as good in the ring as us can keep losing right?" Tina asked, her usual energy and optimism not present to its normal extent.

"Yep." Alaina answered abruptly. She just hadn't seemed like herself lately in an even greater departure from normal than Tina.

The Thundergirls left the locker room and went to the quietest part of the facility to do their worn out, in an empty ring and hopefully away from prying eyes.

After their failed tag venture a few months, Melody and Navi took a break from wrestling as a team. However, that didn't mean they couldn't better each other as individuals. Today was one of these days, as both the blonde and the greenette walked to the gym, for their daily training regimen, and at the end of it, a spar. Navi had to train twice as much as before, considering the blonde had a legitimate shot at becoming the first champion in LAW, in the span of her short career!

"Going to stay at the gym for a bit longer again today?"

"Hmm...probably. I want to be in the best shape I can be if I am to beat everyone in that tourney,"

"I see..."

As the 2 friends entered the LAW-licensed gym, they quickly changed to their workout gear, a sports bra and trunks (green and yellow for Melody and Navi respectively), before going out, and planning to start their regimen with a bit of cardio...

Until Navi took a look at the ring near the locker rooms and saw someone in the furthest ring from them.

"Give me a second...", Navi said to the confused Melody, going towards the ring, just as the green-ette realised who her friend was looking at.

And, almost immidiately, the blonde addressed one of the women in the ring: "A-Alaina Sanders?"

Alaina and Tina had just started running ropes when Alaina heard a voice that caught her attention. She looked over and saw Navi, stopping and grinning and she stepped forward, leaning on the ropes and bending over a bit, waving to Navi. "Hey.. long time no see! How have you been?" Alaina asked curious to see how the feisty small but powerful woman was doing.

Tina also stopped and looked Navi over. She knew of Navi, studied her matches and liked the intensity. Still, Tina also saw herself as someone similar in that she was stronger than her size indicated. Tina also knew she may be opponents with Navi soon depending on how the middleweight title tournament ended up. Tina quietly watched from the back, taking note of everything she could about Navi.

"I didn't know you were in LAW, does that mean Melody is here too?" Alaina asked, looking around and spotting the trademark green of Melody. Alaina was now happier than she had been in recent weeks smiling and waving to Melody as well, motioning for her to come over!

"Not too bad! You?", Navi answered with a smile, before looking over to Tina, recognising her soon-to-be rival for the Middleweight title...and a potential opponent. Her expression changed from a genuine smile into her usual cocky smirk.

Both Melody and Navi knew that the veteran Alaina Sanders-Haines was in LAW. They knew the woman even before that however, as their wrestling school asked now legendary wrestler to take over the lessons for about a week (their regular trainer having some things to attend to elsewhere). And to say that that week was not an improvement on either girl would've been a complete lie.

Melody already started walking towards Tina and Alaina before she asked about the green-ette:

"Hi Alaina! And yes! Both of us are in LAW now!", Melody said as she quickly came over.

"Not just "in LAW". I am going to be the first champion in this company", Navi would say, looking at Tina as she said that...

Alaina nodded and smiled, happy to see the two. They had a lot of talent and potential when she first met them, and if they were here then they had continued to put the work in. That was always refreshing to see. "It is great to see you guys and I am guessing someone here qualified for the middleweight tourney." Alaina said with a grin. "I'd have been there too if it wasn't for Natasha beating me." She added, shrugging a bit and remembering Natasha's eye rakes leading to a couple hard slams and an unbearable submission move.

Tina tilted her head to the side and shook it as Navi spoke. "No way anyone else is walking out without that belt around their waist girlie. No one in the middleweight tournament is as balanced as I am. Show me a nice little weakness and consider it exploited." Tina added with her own cocky smile to Navi, crossing her arms and tensing them up to show off the full extent of her figure.

"Yeah, I can relate...I would've been in too, if I was a better ...", Melody read that Alaina's qualifier didn't end as cleanly as it should've. Because of that, it wasn't such a clean comparison to her own qualifier, which ended with Melody definitively losing to her opponent. It looked to her as if she wasn't quite ready for the championship gold yet...

Navi's conversation with her rival for the Middleweight title, meanwhile, continued, as she chuckled towards Tina: "Jill of all trades, Master of none? Doesn't sound like a solid strategy to me. And you might discover quite quickly that I don't have any real weaknesses to exploit". Despite her attitude, out of all the competitors in the full tourney she knew so far, the idea of wrestling someone like Tina excited her the most...but she realised that there was a very real possibility of the 2 not meeting in the tourney for whatever reason.

Because of that, she would say: "And if you want to prove that you can find a weakness in my style, then why wait until the tourney?"

Tina clapped and smiled looking down at Navi. "Me or the old lady here would wreck ya." Tina said smacking Alaina's back a couple times. "I know we've struggled a bit as a team but why not the two of you take on the two of us?" Tina said with a giant grin, backing to the center of the ring and motioning for the other two women to join them in the ring.

Alaina rolled her eyes. "I wouldn't mind a good workout." She said honestly but was still aggravated about her and Tina's performances as a team. Still, they wouldn't get better unless they pushed themselves. This may be a chance to do just that. "If the two of you want to go at it solo thats fine, but if you want to make it a tag spar then I am all right with that if Melody is."

Although Navi was excited to fight either Alaina or her protege, the truth of the matter was that Melody and Navi also struggled as a tag team, with their only tag match ending in failure for them.

"But this is just a spar...it would be best to practise before we tagged again, right?", Navi would think, looking at Melody for her partner's answer.

Melody thought the same as her friend. The tag scene in LAW was still not quite established, and the belts wouldn't be coming for a little while. If 2 struggling teams wrestled each other right now, it was more than likely that they would find and deal with everything that was wrong in their team work.

And with a smile, Melody would give her answer: "You are on! Navi, are you alright with starting?"

Navi gave returned her partner's smile and nodded, getting into the ring to show the Thundergirls that the 2 of them were ready...

Alaina and Tina smiled and moved to their corner with Alaina stepping through the ropes to leave Tina in the ring.

Tina was all smiled as she stood across from Navi... a woman who really mirrored her very well. Tina was going to go slow and smart. She was only 19 but had to ensure that she used what experience she had to her advantage.

The tigress loved in eager to engage in a grapple and test out Navi's power and technique!

With Melody and Alaina standing at the ring apron in their respective corners, and Navi and Tina standing in the ring, the tag spar would get under way!

As Navi and Tina slowly circled each other, Navi would see how eager Tina was to grapple with her tourney rival, with Navi sharing that sentiment.

The blonde would make her way into the middle of the ring, hands outstretched as she challanged Tina for a test of strength!

"Let's see how that "balance" of yours pays out in a fight, "Tigress",", she would say with cocky smirk on her face.
