Aftermath of the Bikini Beach Match - A New Friendship Blossoms
Continued from here.
Vanessa began to slowly open her eyes as light flooded into her vision. She felt the comfort of the bed beneath her, which she wasn't completely expecting. Nevertheless, it felt extraordinarily comfy. She continued to open her eyes a bit more as they began to adjust to the bright lights.
Her body was still aching all over, and it was hard to move. She didn't remember winning her match, and she wasn't on the beach anymore. That could only mean that she had lost. Damn. That was a real sobering fact. She actually felt really let down knowing her debut was a bust.
Then, she turned her head to the side, and noticed the person sitting next to her.

Vanessa would look around the left side of the room, and see nothing. No one else seemed to be in the room. Then she turned her head right.
She'd come face to face with a tearful bodybuilder.
"Ohmigoshyou'reawakethankgoodness!Ididn'tmeanforthatmovetoknockyououtcoldIwasonlytryingtowinandIdidn'tthinkIcould-" Hayley was going off a mile a minute, and between how fast she was talking and how she was welling up tears, it was doubtful the groggy french girl would be able to pick up most of what she was even saying.

Re: Aftermath of the Bikini Beach Match - A New Friendship Blossoms
After a bit of head-turn, Vanessa's eyes finally landed on the girl in red with whom she just finished battle with. As her eyes continued to refocus, she finally saw the world of worry her friend was going through. Her mouth may have been moving at an incomprehensible speed, but it didn't take a genius to figure out how worried she was about the well-being of the blonde.
Vanessa smiled. Perhaps losing this match wasn't such a bad thing after all. "Hey there, Hayley," she said, momentarily forgetting the nickname she had given to the worried girl. That was when she noticed that Hayley had changed out of her bikini, and into something that wasn't a pair of normal street clothes. Does she wear that normally? That's when she felt a coldness over her body. Slowly craning her neck downwards, she saw that she was still wearing her swimsuit. I guess no one bothered to change me out of this get up... That idea had it's own pros and cons, which Vanessa wasn't going to worry about right now.
She wanted to try getting up to show that she was doing OK, but that was proving to be easier said than done.

Re: Aftermath of the Bikini Beach Match - A New Friendship Blossoms
Vanessa's smile, and her response caused her to stop blubbering, and snaps her out of it. She takes a slow breath to calm herself.
"...I'm sorry." She said, apologized. She then saw Vanessa trying to get up. "Doc says you need at least a night's rest. Nothing was broken, or sprained, so they said you'll be fine. I just um... I really kinda got spooked. I never knocked anyone unconscious before. It really kind of worried me." She admitted to her. "Maybe... I should rethink that move.. maybe something a little less... pain inducing... I guess?" She proposed, but wasn't really sure where she was going with it.
She notices that she saw she was in her swimsuit still. "Er... sorry.. I kinda panicked and brought you straight here.. if the covers aren't enough, I could see about trying to find another blanket that you can cover up in." She offered.

Re: Aftermath of the Bikini Beach Match - A New Friendship Blossoms
Listening to Hayley blubber on with worry, Vanessa felt a little silly, losing to a girl like this. Still, considering the genuine amount of worry this girl had for her, Vanessa just couldn't bring herself to hold it against the girl in red. "Haha... If you make your finisher hurt less, how will you ever win another match? What kind of pro-wrestler are you?" the blonde girl asked in a sarcastic and playful tone.
Then she put on a slightly more serious tone: "Look, Hen-Hen, I appreciate your concern for my well-being. Really, I do. And while I may not be the biggest wrestling expert out there, I imagine that very few people will let you win after softening the blow. If you want to become the best, you are going to have to do your best, got it?" Vanessa wasn't really sure why she was giving Hayley advice, especially considering she was a complete rookie herself. But she knew enough about people in general to make that statement sound somewhat relevant.
As for the swimsuit... "Ah, no that's OK. I'm kind of used to being in lesser amounts of clothing. Helps me... move around... a lot better." Vanessa kind of hoped the double meaning of that statement went over her friend's head. She didn't have the heart to tell her that her feminine charm is what kept her relevant around other people, much to her chagrin.

Hayley looks up at her when she says that. She nods slowly at her words. "Yeah... yeah, you're right.. I shouldn't be apologizing! It's just part of the game!" She says. Well that was easy enough.
"You're right! Yeah, I want to become the best. I want the title and I want to show I can keep it!" She declared. Then she raises an eyebrow at her declining that. "Um... o..kay? I don't get why you'd want to move around a lot in a hospital bed though..." She said, scratching the back of her head. "Thanks for teaching me that move, by the way. I don't really know anything about submissions, and almost nothing on other throws except for like... a couple of basic things... you're... kinda the first person I'm admitting this to, too... eh-heh..."

Re: Aftermath of the Bikini Beach Match - A New Friendship Blossoms
Vanessa smiled again at her friend. She simply nodded at Hayley's realizations, as if she intended to be a mentor for advice in the first place.
Then came the confession. In truth, Vanessa never really intended to teach her any move in the middle of a match, but it happened anyway. To be fair, most interactions between the two of them felt weird to Vanessa. This was more because the blonde didn't really know what it was like to have a genuine conversation between friends.
"Oh... well, um, I don't really know what to say... You're welcome... I guess..." Hayley was admitting that she wasn't very good at grappling, as if to make Vanessa look like some kind of guru. Vanessa didn't really see herself as much of a submissions specialist either. In truth, she didn't really have a wrestling style to call her own. The training she had taught her the basics, but not much else. She gravitated towards the grappling aspect simply due to her comfort levels of being in close proximity of people and her lack of strength. Outside of that, she was probably not too much better at submissions than Hayley was. Something in her head was telling her not to say that to her new friend, though.
"Thank you for telling me," she replied, feeling it was the least she could say, since her friend was pouring her heart out here.

Hayley smiles at Vanessa's response, and nods in reply.
"With that being said though... the first girl I fought... I threw everything I had at her and it wasn't enough... but um... please don't take this the wrong way, but I was kind of surprised to see you were out of breath after like... I dunno... the 4th or 5th move. Don't you know doing matches here takes a loot of stamina?" She asked her.

"Yea, well... you know... can't be good at everything, am I right?" It wasn't like Vanessa didn't know that, at least she did now. Still, as much as she didn't want to admit it, Hayley was right. There was no way she could survive in LAW with the amount of stamina she had right now.
"I just wanted to start wrestling. I didn't really think passed that," the blonde said, half defending herself, half just making an excuse.

Re: Aftermath of the Bikini Beach Match - A New Friendship Blossoms
Hayley stared at Vanessa after she said that. Then her face cracked a small smile. Then she turned away, and covered her mouth, trying to stifen her giggling, but it turned into a full blown laugh!
Hayley turns back to Vanessa, quickly trying to explain. "I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry! It's just.. hehehe... that's pretty much exactly my reason too!" She giggles.
