Sirya vs. Long Shin

Even brought off her feet, Sirya was in no mood to concede anything to Long. She wouldn't back down or be intimidated, no matter what her opponent could do. After all, she had managed to keep herself calm as he turned himself into a tiger, and how could he possibly top that? Looking up from the ground, Sirya rolled onto her back, glaring up at Long with a sneer on her face. "Hmmph!" she muttered.

She hoped to get more distance between the two of them, pulling herself away so that she could better regroup and come at Long again. Being on her back would only put her at a disadvantage. However, she couldn't get far away in time to avoid the kick coming down into her stomach, causing her to cough and gag from the impact.

It would only get worse with Long pressing his foot down harder into Sirya's toned yet slender midsection, and soon she couldn't hold it in any longer, crying out with a bestial yowl of pain. The weight on her was growing too much to be ignored, and Sirya would have to do something about that. Sucking in a breath and clenching her teeth, she went to grab hold of Long's ankle with both hands, trying to yank his foot off of her. "Hey! Leggo!"

Long brought his foot down right on her stomach and dug his heel in. A yelp of pain came out of her mouth and Long was not expecting that. His eyes widened a bit at the sound and almost felt sorry for her... But then he remembered her pulling a knife out at him and stabbing him right in the side. All of his sympathy left with that thought in mind. "Quite a charming cry you have there." He would say as he dug his heel in more. Long wasn't much for torture, but after what she did to him, he needed to remind her just who she was dealing with now.

He watched as both of her hands rose up and clenched around his ankle. Her words now echoing in his ears as she asked for him to let her go. "I'm not falling for that again." He said coldly to her. It was hard to keep his balance though with one foot on the ground and the other on her. Not only that, but she was actively trying to force his foot off of her with her hands. Long knew he wasn't going to last much longer like this so he took his foot off of her.

Enough force was given that it escaped her grasp as well and he backed off a bit. "Stand up, we're not done." It was almost time for him to transform again. Just a little bit longer and he can really show her what's up.

The resistance with which Long met her wasn't going to slow Sirya down. All she did was snarl through her clenched teeth, becoming more frantic in her motions as she twisted to and fro on the ground, wrenching on Long's ankle as best she could. Though Sirya may have barked at him with orders to release her, she wasn't really thinking that just words alone would work. It was more than anything else an expression of frustration. What Sirya really wanted was to make him let go, one way or another.

Eventually, it worked, and the intruder was forced to back away. Sirya was quick to jump to her feet as soon as the pressure was off her, panting to try and get the air back in her lungs. But as soon as she had grounded herself, she shot a glare back at Long, her violet eyes narrowed into a dagger-like stare. Oh, no, she wasn't done all right. That was for sure.

"Who said I was?" Sirya shouted, launching herself back into the action. She went charging towards Long as she gripped her fingers tighter around the handle she'd attached to the paw on her panther pelt, looking to swing it into him like a mace as she drew closer.

Long could see the fire in her eyes when she stared back at him from across the forest landscape. He's seen looks like this before from other competitors, but hers... Something about it just seemed so natural in a sense. He didn't know if it was because this was how she made her living or how she survived. Or maybe this is always how she felt towards other human beings. There wasn't that much time to think about it though as he heard her words saying back to him that she wasn't finished either. She came rushing in at him and Long tried to defend.

It was a fruitless effort though as he wasn't expecting Sirya to use her panther pelt as a weapon! The sharp claws that the pelt possessed was enough to break through his defenses and slice him pretty good. His arms would be covered in scratches and so would his chest and face. Clothing on his body would be torn up as well. This wasn't looking good for him, he needed to find a way to stop her flurry of slashes!

That was when he noticed a low hanging branch coming up from behind him as he kept on backpedaling from her assault. Quick thinking brought him to the conclusion of ducking under it at the last moment in hopes should would get the claws stuck onto the branch. He put his plan into action and ducked downwards and waited to see if Sirya's claws would strike true on the branch now above him.

A smirk came to Sirya's lips, feeling satisfied that she had managed to catch her opponent unaware. Weaponizing the claws of the panther skin she had worn as a cloak ever since slaying the beast in the traditional initiation ritual of her people was a trick she had come up with herself, and it was one that rarely failed to produce results. Rarely did her opponents expect it from her, and when it did hit, it hit hard; a good solid blow from a club-like limb tended to do that to you, particularly if it had sharp claws attached. And all of that was happening to Long right now.

"Hah!" she shouted, encouraged by the success she had achieved thus far to keep up with her assault. But Long had a plan, and his ploy was unfolding just under the girl's nose. Long ducked under the branch as Sirya was already in mid-swing. When her claws hit their mark, they would only strike at wood rather than flesh, becoming lodged in the branch.

This came as an unpleasant surprise to Sirya, whose eyes went wide at the unexpected sight. "Hey! C'moooon!" she groaned, doing her best to free herself from the predicament. She tried to pull her arm off the branch, tugging on it with her other, and all the while not paying much attention to Long.

The environment that Long was in was proving to be as much of an advantage for him as it is for her. Seeing her claw get stuck on the tree branch gave him a bit of relief that his plan worked out and stopped her assault against him. Not only that, but now she was focusing all of her attention on getting the claw out instead of on him. This was the perfect opportunity to launch a counter attack and get the momentum back on his side. Thinking quickly on his feet, Long saw an opportunity to use that tree branch again against his opponent.

Using the trunk of the tree that the tree branch is connected to, Long kicked off of it with his left foot and jumped up to the top of the branch with his right foot. Bouncing off of the branch with only his right foot, Long would get enough air that his whole body was now above hers. Long pulled his feet in as close as he could towards his chest and then extended them outwards with as much force as possible towards her face. Aiming to stomp on it as hard has he could!

"Up here!" He would call out to her, hoping that she would look up towards him so he can land directly onto her face.

The longer it took for Sirya to pull herself off the branch she had found herself stuck in, the more she grew frustrated. She knew full well that this was hardly a favorable position to be in in a fight, when her opponent could counterattack at any moment. She stomped her foot on the ground, growling under her breath. "C'mon, come oooooon!" she groaned, hoping against all hope she could free herself before he struck again. In doing so, however, she wouldn't be paying attention to Long climbing the tree to get to a higher vantage.

Then, though, he called out to her, and as foolish as it may have been, Sirya couldn't help but turn in the direction of the news. "What-!?" she said, just in time for Long to come crashing down on top of her face feet-first! She finally managed to yank herself out of the branch, but it would be as a result of her opponent's full weight slamming directly into her face. Sirya let out a scream at the impact, falling to the ground hard under him. Her hoarse throat could then only groan softly, as she tried to get the feeling back to her entire face.

The double foot stomp to her face landed perfectly and could feel the impact underneath the soles of his feet when she landed on the unforgiving ground below. When Long landed, he would roll away from her and get back up to his feet and turn around to face her. The only downside to his little tactic was the fact that it helped dislodge her claw out of the tree branch, but the damage has certainly been done. He wasn't quite sure if this was enough though to keep her down and Long can feel it in his body that he was ready to transform again. "I won't let you trick me again. I'm going all out on you!" He would yell over at her before slamming his right foot on the ground again and transforming back to his tiger form.

"Ahhhh... Much better!" He would exclaim looking back at his body. "You claws certainly hurt, but let's see just how much you like mine!" With that being said, Long brandished his own claws out in front of his face and started walking over towards Sirya. Depending on if she was still on the ground or not at this time, Long would try to slash away at her with his foot on her chest if she was on the ground or with a flurry of slashes if she was standing up.

Sirya was still wincing from the blow to her face, feeling a trickle of blood run down from her nostril. She cursed softly under her breath, thinking to herself that she couldn't afford to keep taking hits like that. She was lucky to still be conscious, let alone alive. if he had done that in his tiger form...well, Sirya wasn't even going to go there.

Right now, she had to focus on getting back to safety and regrouping, and so she started to crawl away, still keeping her eyes trained on Long. But she would soon see that her thoughts had been tempting fate, as she looked up to see her opponent change back into his bestial state. She grumbled, her teeth clenching and her hand balling into a fist in frustration. But there was no time to sit around and think about that, when he was already swinging for her!

Sirya tried to swerve to the side in an effort to dodge, barely managing to get away without anything worse than having the claws graze her skin, although they did leave red trails where they went, leaving her shuddering. However, Sirya was keen to strike back, as she kicked out at Long's ankle to try and trip him up from where she lay.

Slash after slash was being rained down upon Sirya, but her speed was keeping Long just at claws length. He could feel his claws just grazing her skin, but he was determined to do more... To make her feel the full length of his claws deep into her skin. The terrain was making it hard for him to keep up with her though as she was a lot more adapt to it than he was. "Just stand still!" He would call out at her. He knew she wouldn't agree to this, but he just needed to let out some of his frustrations someway.

Something then occurred that Long didn't predict. Usually, when being attacked like this, you keep on backing up and defending until your opponent runs out of steam or you find a way to use your surroundings to your advantage, but Sirya seemed to be thinking a bit outside of the box on this one. Instead of just rolling with the punches, she decided to just go low on him! Long felt the blow on his ankle and his eyes instantly widened on impact.

His clawing away at her stopped as he started to fall to the floor. "Gaaahhh!" He would call out as he coiled up his leg close to his body and held his ankle. He didn't know if her kick actually broke it or not, but it hurt like hell! Long scooted back a bit and tried to move it. To his surprise, he was still able to rotate it, but sharp pain would accompany it.
