Ain't No Place For No Hero (For Sleeper)

Roni Mancini gave Aika a skeptical look as she doubled over, struggling to breath. "Man, you're going to feel really stupid after this is over," remarked the Hitwoman, clearly not too impressed by what she perceived as a very stupid choice from her current target of rage. "Or maybe not. You clearly think you're smarter than you are."

Casually, the Italian woman stepped over to the side of her opponent before gripping her chair tight and then trying to black her in the spine with the metal weapon! She wanted her completely at her mercy now, and she didn't seem to have any willingness to ease up on her.

Aika was already reeling from a brutal beatdown. THe worst thing she could have done was run her mouth and talk tough...so of course she did just that. As such she wasn't surprised when her spine was being pounded into oblivion by the unforgiving steel. The first shot made her collapse on her knees, the second shot mad her fall flat on her stomach, and the final shot kept her down, with even the tiniest of movements sending daggers of icy pain shooting through her torso.

The chair shots hit one after another, each hitting their mark on Aika's spine with a crashing echo! Roni Mancini wielded the weapon like a pro until Aika stopped moving on the ground. The Hitwoman would then toss her chair carelessly into the giant pile of chairs already sitting there. "I'm charitable," stated Roni, which was quite a statement after she just beat the everloving hell out of the superheroine.

She stood over Aika before placing her boot on her spine and then starting to press down on it. "Ask me for mercy and I'll just walk away right now. Don't, and I can't promise what I'll do, but I can promise you won't like it," stated Roni plainly, smirking arrogantly down at the fallen girl, eager to hear her reply to her oh-so generous offer.

Blow after blow rained down on her poor spine, reducing the heroine to a heap at the hitwoman's feet. Her breath came in rattling gasps, eyes reduced to mere slits, with her struggling to focus in on Roni's boot. Even her taunting sounded far off in her dim haze, with only the pressure of her foot pressing down on her injured spine giving Aika any indication of what was going on.

"Beg....for.....mercy......?" she croaked weakly, unable to raise her weakened body up thatnks to the damage she had already received at her foe's hands. Turning her face ever so slightly to look up at Roni, she weakly spit out a mixture of saliva and blood, "S....screw you.....I.....never...quit...."

Roni Mancini let out an amused laugh at the beleaguered wannabe hero and shook her head. "Now tell me... how did I know you were going to do that? I must be freaking mind reader," said the Hitwoman. She then let out a sigh and then removed her boot from Aika's back. The woman then grabbed a hold of the beaten girl and then slung her over her shoulder, knowing she wouldn't be getting much fight out of the girl now.

"So we're going to take a trip and show you to some people. Maybe make a statement. But you're definitely going to look pathetic in front of everyone. That much is certain," explained Roni as she carried Aika out of the room and through the halls of LAW's backstage area.

Aika whimpered, feeling the boot dislodge itself from her battered spine. Feeling Roni grab her, Aika only offered a weak token resistence as her body was being slung over the woman's shoulder. Her arms swayed limp in the air, with Aika's vision only seeing the back of her opponent's body as the floor swirled in and out of veiw. She didn't dare struggle, as she was neck deep in trouble already. Best wait for an opportunity to strike.

Roni continued to carry the nearly unconscious Aika over her shoulder until she found the stage of the arena. She walked through the stage without any song or fanfare and then proceeded to drop the superheroine onto the ground unceremoniously, not seeming to care how she landed on the ground.

The Hitwoman glared at a stage hand and demanded a mic, which the stage hand went to take as the crowd looked at the beaten Aika on the ground and Roni Mancini standing over her. The Italian looked thrilled and arrogant all at the same time as she held her hand out, waiting for the microphone to be presented to her. She then spoke into it, "I'm hoping everyone is having a good time tonight. Really. Nothing would make me happier. Well, everyone except for her."

Roni then gave Aika a push with her boot. "See, this wannabe superhero is Aika. She sucks, clearly. I mean look at her. I just beat her all over this arena backstage. Now she barely knows where she is: and Aika, you're in front of the crowd, looking like a hot dumpster fire." Mancini would then grab Aika by her hair and then pull her up off the ground a bit before continuing. "Got anything to say for yourself?" asked Roni, with a cocky smile on her face as she put the mic to Aika's mouth.

The entire walk to the stage passed so quickly for Aika. Possibly because she kept passing in and out of consciousness on the way there, with her vision swimming in pools of darkness, occasionally coming back up to catch glimpses of her surroundings. The fall did nothing to help her, with her body slamming into the hard wood and metal of the platform. It took her entire willpower to not pass out, even as the Hitwoman proceeded to mock and belittle her.

A sharp kick to the skull knocked her down to the ground, and a hand snaked it's way into her hair, dragging her up onto her knees, with Roni in her face and pressing the mic to her lips to speak. IN a final act of defiance, she balled her fist, and swung at Roni's jaw in the biggest KO punch she could muster!

Roni kept a grip on Aika's hair and smirked arrogantly to the crowd, proud of her handiwork as she gave the pathetic, beaten girl an opportunity to speak for herself. And then after keeping the mic in front of Aika's mouth for a while, Roni Mancini suddenly got cracked in the jaw by a punishing fist!

The Hitwoman nearly toppled back, releasing the heroine's hair as she staggered back a few paces, looking absolutely livid. "You fucking bitch!" screamed Roni, who gave her the angriest of glares before moving to mount the girl who must have used the last of her strength in that defiant punch. She would then try to lay into her with punches over and over, an almost relentless assault on the girl from the sinister Hitwoman.

Aika's battered face was able to get at least one smile out of this whole ordeal, no doubt giving Roni a nice bruise to remember her by. That was all she could remember in hindsight, with Roni suddenly on her once more, laying into her with hard punches. Each fist slammed into her jaw, sending spit and sweat flying through the air, head snapping to the side and making stars dance in her vision. Her hands weakly grasped at the air, not sure even where she WAS by this point.
