Jessica Wright vs. La Mariposa

Jessica had been wrestling for about as long as she had been standing upright. Sure, the tussles that she had with her brothers growing up were not five star classics with formal rules. They were brawls, no more and no less, where the only rule was don't bother dad. Jessica had learned to bite and punch and throw until she felt that she could hang in there, and then she surpassed all of them. If someone had asked her how many hours she had spent in the gym, on the sparring mat, or on the treadmill, she would not be able to get close. Jessica considered all of this as she stared into the mirror across from her.

She was going to have to call on all of it tonight. Her opponent for the evening was going to be La Mariposa. She was an experienced pro, and worse still, she had a style that Jessica hated. Back on the plains of Iowa, you stood up and gave it until you couldn't give it anymore. She hated slippy flying bullshit, dodging, and everything that this woman stood for. Jessica was going to have to catch her in her movements and put her down on the canvas if she wanted to win this match.

The Violent Violet played through a few possible counters and attacks she could pull off in her head as she made her way to the staging area. The worker bees wisely got out of the way before she could commit any real violence, which was probably pretty smart. She was now standing at the curtain, shadowboxing before her music played. She was going to have to be nice and loose if she wanted any chance at catching this particular bullet.

Jessica ignored the fans as she walked down to the ring. The Violent Violet slid under the bottom rope and backed into her corner. Her powerful frame was on full display as she waited for her opponent to arrive.

Time to pluck this butterfly's wings, she thought.

With Lisa settling down in Tokyo, getting adjusted in her job, and making an in-depth schedule of her day, the time had come for her to start accepting some matched by her latest employer - LAW. She missed the ring dearly in the last few months, when she barely wrestled and mostly focused on research in the lab, with an important project coming to ahead...

Using her real identity of Lisa Hamilton, she signed up as her her own manager in the company as well, mostly to save the headache of people trying to pry into either of her identities, and to stop them from making a connection to either of them being the same person.

Within a week of a request for the match for her "client", she had gotten herself a debut in spades - one against a very fierce and brutal competitor in the face of Jessica Wright:

"Hmmm...won't be much of a problem...", she would coldly tell herself when she got the email about the match. Wright was a power-based brawler. She was a high-flying submission-heavy luchadora. Unless Wright managed to catch her out of the air, this seemed like an easy enough match for the woman for her debut.

On the day of the match, she exit her apartment with her mask on, so when she entered the arena, she was fully in the "Mariposa" persona. Once in the locker room, she changed into her ring attire, with an hour to spare before the LAW Episode for the week got under way...and before her match was on...

Exactly an hour later, the long haired violent violet would exit the ring, making her way to the ring with a serious expression on her face:

"This isn't boxing...lighten up, girl. Jeez...", she would say outloud, as she hopped on spot, warming herself up before her bout...right as she had a knock on the door, letting her know she was expected at the gorilla position.

Her club-style song would come onto the speakers as Mariposa practically hopped from behind the curtain onto the entrance ramp:

"Woo-hoo!!!", she loudly exclaimed. Quite a few fans were cheering for the woman, already aware of her notoriety on American indies, with more than a few LAW regulars coming from the US to see the show...

She wore her fire-y red attire, one she kept for special occasions. And a debut in another country was quite an occasion indeed.

She made her way down the ramp, making sure to not miss a single person in the front row with a high-five, even giving a lucky souls a quick selfy, and a mock kiss on the cheek, before she went around the ringside area with more high-fives, before finally jumping into the ring from the top rope...

She would roll straight to her corner, smiling the brightest of smiles, as she called out to her opponent: "Ready to lose?"

It felt like forever. Now that she was in the ring, she felt like tearing into this woman and demolishing her to the extent that she would not be leaving the arena under her own power. But she was forced to wait. The music started up and a graceful woman made an appearance up at the top of the ramp, which was fine. At least she would be making her way down to the squared circle in short order, so that they could get it on. But, she didn't. This woman took a painstaking amount of time to get to the canvas, even going so far as to take selfies with some of that fans. Dear god did Jessica want to annihilate this woman.

Thankfully, the music died down, and La Mariposa found it fitting to say something excruciatingly stupid. "Listen, bitch, they are going to be taking selfies with your unconscious, naked body." The clenched fists and veins popping out of her neck informed the woman standing across from her that she meant those words with all of her heart.

She waved at the referee to let the woman know that she was ready. And truly, deeply, furiously, she was.

As much as Mariposa wanted to believe Jessica was bluffing...this came out with way too much conviction for her to believe that her foe was lying:

"You are welcome to try...and end up with me making a naked selfie with you...", she would say in a threatening voice. She would not allow herself to be insulted like this.

With how angry Jessica was with her, she knew that starting the match with a simple lock up was not going to happen. Jessica would jump her as soon as the bell rung, if not before hand. So as Mariposa nodded her head on being prepared for the match, she would have the plan ready in her head...

...and the moment the bell rung, would act on it, rushing straight for the Violent Violet, and aiming a hard forearm strike at her jaw!

Jessica heard Mariposa's retort and was less than impressed. She rolled her eyes. There was something to be said for jawing before the match started and psyching your opponent out, an art that was clearly lost on this woman. But before Jessica could really nail that point home, the bell rung and the Violent Violet was off to the races.

And much to her surprise, so was her opponent. Her eyes widened as she approached her opponent. Jessica was planning some lethal assault in her head only for her moment to be co-opted by her fellow American who seemed just as hellbent on getting this match started off in some violent fashion. Because Jessica was expecting to go on offense and stay on offense right from the very start, she did not anticipate such a daring attack from her opponent straight off the bat.

Because of this, Jessica's jaw was struck with the power of a cannon which sent Jessica reeling off to the side. It was only through the grace of her momentum and her faster feet that she remained upright, having to careen off to the side to do so. She wheeled around, bewildered and not quite sure what would happen next.

Mariposa was right on the money about Jessica starting the match with a rush towards her. And, with her prediction and attack, she managed to swing the early momentum of the match, getting the Violent Violet to stumble to the side:

"Running away? Come on, Violet, we are just getting started!"

With her quip, Mariposa approached Jessica, winding up and aiming her arm straight for her chest for a hard Knife Edge Chop! If she were successful, she hoped that the attack made her foe stumble further, right into the corner, for a powerful follow up move...

Jessica's eyes were wide as La Mariposa approached. Not out of surprise, like the first time that her opponent had come out her. But out of a sheer rush of adrenaline. Jessica wanted to take everything in as well as she possibly could as her opponent approached with great celerity. The Violent Violet had been on her back foot before, but she was leaning in now, ready to take on the next challenge with open arms.

As she saw La Mariposa raise her hands, she knew she had an opening. The window would only be open for a split second, but it was the best opportunity she had. The Violent Violet launched a strong jab forward at her opponent's chest. She was trying to be as fast as she could, because she knew the consequences would not be pretty if she failed...

Lisa was a woman who studied for a match as if it were an exam, to guarantee victory 100%. And the thing she learned about Jessica from her matches is that hesitation, at any point, would be deadly in the ring with the Violent Violet.

That would prove to be true as Mariposa launched her hand at the same time as Jessica launched her's at the Luchadora's sizable bust, nailing a hard jab on her chest right as Mariposa nailed her Chop!

"AAAH!", Mariposa screamed out, before hissing in pain, the punch driving her away from Jessica as she stepped back, covering her hurt chest!

Two things happened at once. Jessica's strike slammed into La Mariposa's chest, just as the butterfly's assault rocked Jessica's voluminous bust. The Violent Violet reeled back a little bit, stunned by the awesome power of the blow. She grimaced as she clutched where La Mariposa had struck her, unintentionally humiliating herself a bit in the process.

Jessica tried to shake off the pain of the blow and redouble her efforts to remove La Mariposa's head from her shoulders. She charged forward and aimed a low kick towards La Mariposa's shins as she attempted to sweep the high flyer off of her feet!

As Mariposa staggered from the blow to her well-endowed bust, and feeling her chop reach it's mark on Jessica's chest, the dark skinned beauty expected her foe to stagger back from the impact as well. It was a calculated risk, and she expected Jessica to waste at least a second to recover from the chop...

...as it turned out, the Violent Violet was a lot tougher than she gave her credit for, as she fought on despite the pain, stepping towards the Luchadora for a hard low kick to her left leg, sweeping Mariposa off her feet and onto her rear!

Mariposa hissed in pain, but instead of waisting time trying to stand back up, she decided to block her torso and head with her arms, fearful for what her rival's follow up was going to entail...
