Showing a Fun Time (for Devilish53)

Ito listened to Viviana speak, her eyebrows lifting in slight concern as she spoke. She was trying to be nice--not quite trying. She was nice. And even so, the Japanese girl couldn't agree with her. "I do, though. Specifically you. We are here to have a fun, relaxed time." Toshiko thought on that for a moment, debating whether or not she should keep speaking, and ultimately continued. "I am naturally very tense and have... not... just had fun with anyone," Toshiko admitted, somewhat shyly as she turned a bit to take a sip of her drink. She made note of them sticking to the bar for now, but part of her actually felt rather interested in what a time at the club would be like. But she trusted her friend to lead the way entirely.

Unfortunately, before Toshiko could try to change the subject from her somewhat revealing admittance of loneliness, she let out a loud hiccup and covered her mouth, something that may have been more embarrassing to her. She covered her mouth and looked concerned all over again before speaking up to try moving past that hiccup as if it never happened. "...Do people actually enjoy drinking this whiskey? I don't see the appeal." She didn't know if Viviana would ignore that or not, but she may as well have tried to avoid it. That is, until she hiccuped a second time, this time becoming more irritated than anything, to which she tried clearing her throat again and pounded her own chest.

Viviana hummed back as Toshiko spoke, not needing a headsup whatsoever as to the fact that the girl was rather tense by default. She'd feel a tiny heart wrench as the figure before her showed further signs of nerves, taking a sip with reddening cheeks that made Viviana struggle to contain wrapping up the girl in a lovely reassuring cuddle. Instead she'd settle for a rub of the nearest shoulder of Toshiko, whilst looking on intently.

Hand coming off as her compatriot switched topics, Viviana's face switched to a wide grin, as she took her glass to hand.

"Looks like someone can't handle her drink!" A comment made somewhat hypocritically, given she herself had barely started her glass.

"Need some water?"

Toshiko's eyebrows narrowed in an almost offended stare as Viviana joked with her concerning her not being able to handle her drinks, and then asking if she wanted water. The comment made in jest hit a little harder to Toshiko who hated to be less than impeccable at most things, which now included being able to drink alcohol.

Having forgotten about her recent moment of vulnerability, Ito found herself wanting to prove she could, in fact, hold her alcohol. Despite being a rank amateur at drinking, she had assumed there was but one way to prove that: by drinking more. "I can--" started Toshiko, before another hiccup interrupted her speaking, making the Japanese girl become even more irritated. She would then try again. "I can handle my drink!" she blurted out, trying to beat out another potential hiccup.

And then Toshiko would begin to chug her small glass, this time preparing for the feeling drinking so much of it had. That knowledge would help, somewhat, as Toshiko forcefully put her drink down on the bar top while staring at Viviana confidently. Ito could feel irritation in her throat and lungs as her confident stare slowly went away, replaced with a more concerned grimace as she tried to hold in her cough and failing to keep her face from reacting to the strength on the drink. Her hand gripped the top of the bar firmly as she kept her gaze on Viviana.

And then finally she doubled over and coughed into the inside of her elbow loudly. Toshiko got her coughs out and eyes leaking tears, she picked her head back up to look at Viviana, speaking in a rather feeble voice and saying, "I can handle my drink..." It wasn't her strongest defiant stand, and she wasn't sure she had proven much of anything to her friend, but she had gone too far to admit defeat now.

Viviana watched with pure curiusity as her newfound friend opted to make a statement, seemingly roaring out to the masses upon finishing her drink, before assuming a more humble tone. Viviana herself wasn't concerned; she herself, whilst a lightweight in drinking, only intended to get tipsy at best. Should things descend into chaos, she figured one drunken amazonian and one mildly tipsy one could handle it.

"I'll..I'll have a glass of water for my friend..." She'd hum with a grin to the onlooking keeper, before without even looking, she patted Toshiko to aid in that hefty coughing fit she was going through.

"You sure?" She couldn't resist, humming that question with a toothier grin.

Toshiko heard Viviana ask for the glass of water for her and did not seem particularly thrilled about it. She wiped her eyes delicately to preserve the make-up she had spent so long applying and then stared at her, looking irritated. She would then speak loudly, seeming oblivious to the volume of her voice, and said, "I do not take criticism from those who are unable to prove they can do they are capable of doing it better." Ito would then forcefully grab hold of Viviana's hand and drink with her hands and then raise it up higher, giving her a challenging glare.

"And you haven't even finished one drink, and yet you try to tell me I cannot handle my drink! Prove you can handle drink, Viviana... Accera!" shouted Toshiko, removing her hands again and staring at her, waiting. She was acting a little more brazen than usual. The shyness she felt seemingly melting away now, likely a result of the alcohol. It was very likely that as time went on, she would start to feel more effects from the whiskey she had consumed so far, so fast, but Toshiko felt confident she could handle it.

Toshiko was becoming a little more forceful, but not in a way that at all took the fun out of the evening. Viviana sensed that had she so asked, the woman she deemed Tosh Tosh would have calmed down even in her drunken stupor. Though, she was hardly causing much fuss.

"Tskk..finnnnne.." She'd groan, giving Toshiko quite the look, though one filled with a sly grin at the end to suggest she was only joking. Eyes in front of her now, seemingly fixating on the bottles before her, Viviana herself would take quite the hefty breath before prepping for what was about to come. She had drunk before, but only in slight moderation. Downing the whiskey in her hand was about the nearest thing to serious-drinking she had ever done!

"GCK..Mmm..Not..not a problem...!" She'd grumble back, downing that drink and gently clanging it upon the bar, as it took a visible gulp to clear the whiskey from her mouth into her throat. Her neck already burning with the heat of that alcohol, it took visible effort on Viviana's part not to both throw up, and to have her eyes water.

"E..Easy peezy..."

Ito stared at Viviana intently, making sure that the girl did, in fact, suck down the whole drink. She refused to let Viviana get away with her infraction towards her and she would need to prove she could drink it as she had. After she did, her friend tried to prove she was accepting the drink just fine, but her expression betrayed her as she looked equal parts sick and ready to sob. Toshiko pounded a hand on the bar top and then pointed at Viv. "You too have been bested by the drink!" she shouted.

Then, suddenly, she had a moment where her expression softened and she did something she has rarely ever done in her entire life: she let out a giggle as she looked at Viviana's expression with less analytic eyes. "Your face..." She giggled yet again and put a hand to her well-trimmed stomach and said, "You don't think that was easy or peezy!" Then she let out a laugh before catching herself, looking a bit shocked that she had such an outburst, covering her mouth and looking almost worried. Her mind raced, not sure what to even say at her exposure of rather jovial spirits. Her hand lowered and then she cleared her throat.

"...I have made a fool of myself. I apologize," added Toshiko, trying to focus on maintaining a more neutral expression despite her rather large array of emotions she had shown in just the past minute. She couldn't help but think it was unbecoming to show so much emotion, like a child. She couldn't figure out why she had just done so though.

Viviana couldn't deny, finally seeing a laugh all this time was somewhat cute, given the stoicness of Ito was near enough full-on. She couldn't help but laugh at what could easily be deemed as a uncharacteristic laugh, even more so given that Toshiko near enough instantly cancelled it out with a clearing of her throat and a clearing of her face.

Viviana couldn't help but try for another.

"Well, sorrrrrrrrrrry!" She'd hum out in a fake tone, before patting Toshiko on the shoulder. "Evidently I'm just not born to the drink like you are...maybe you were a fish in a past life?" Her free hand raised to clear her own throat again, given the burning sensation of downing that drink was not quick to leave.

Toshiko stared at Viviana in a confused manner. Her head slowly tilted as she attempted to comprehend the comment she had just made to her. Then, all of a sudden, her face lit up. "Pffffffffhahahahahahaha!" Uncontrollable laughter followed as Ito had determined she was making a joke--one that she would have likely only felt was actually amusing when her inhibitions had been lowered like they were. "A fish!? Why would I be a fish!?"

With a wide grin on her face, Toshiko then leaned forward and gave her a gleefully challenging look. "If I'm a fish... then... you must be..." She drummed her fingers on the bar table beside her, face contorting as she considered her next retort. She needed to fire back with something at least equal to more amusing than Viviana's assertion. "You would be... a butterfly!" Toshiko then fell into a giggle fit again and promptly explained herself. "Because you are pretty and all you do is just sit there off in the distance and watch and then make comments, and you need to be captured in a theo-theoretical jar before other people can have fun with you, and you are very pretty to look at too!"

She looked proud of her own comment and then reached out with a finger to poke her Italian friend on the nose, smirking proudly. It was about one of the only meaningful friendly gestures she could remember from her past from a dear aunt, and normally she wouldn't do such a thing, but her restricting personality had seemed to fade for the most part right now. "How embarrassing for you!"

At first Viviana was confused beyond belief why she would be a butterfly. That was before Toshiko opted for an explanation. A very long, detailed explanation.

"W..What!" She'd snarl back, huge grin to her face over the insane reasoning Toshiko had been given, before coming off her seat.

"Well, atleast you think I'm pretty.." Viviana hummed, before giving a mock twirl, pretending as if she were wearing the right dress for it, before her right arm came to catch herself on the bar. With only one drink inside her, she was hardly on her way for being hammered, but a lack of stomach for drinking certainly made up for it. When she had regained her stance against the bar, she'd opt to retort.

"Tosh Tosh the fish...swimming in her bowl..." Her eyes going rather wide and clueless on purpose, as her mouth formed a huge O. The Italian evidently trying to give the best impression of a fish as she could.
