Bethany Hunter vs. Hikaru Sawazaki - Rise Up!

Locking Hikaru in the front facelock, Bethany was prepared to hoist her up in a vertical suplex, but then, the Japanese wrestler grabbed around her waist. Right after that, Bethany found herself being lifted up by her opponent and thrown over with a northern lights suplex. Unable to react in time, she was thrown onto the mat, and she cried in pain upon impact. "Guaghhh!!" Stunned from the suplex, Bethany writhed in pain for the time being, unable to stop whatever Hikaru would do to her next.

Hikaru had success with her faster, more flashy flying attacks so she figured that she would try something like that again! Hikaru got herself up and found herself running to the ropes. She leapt up onto the middle rope, springing off and flying through the air back at Bethany! Hikaru tried to get as much air as she could as she was trying to fly back down right on top of Bethany with a big splash! Provided she hit her target she would stay right on top of Bethany and hook a leg to go for a pin!

Still stunned from being thrown into the mat with the suplex earlier, Bethany was still writhing on the mat as Hikaru continued with her momentum, running towards the ropes before springing off into the air after leaping onto the middle rope. Unable to move away, Bethany took the body splash from her Japanese opponent, and the impact knocked most of the fight out of her.

"UUGGHHH!!!"

Gasping in pain, Bethany seemed to be having trouble pushing Hikaru off of her, and this was probably the Japanese wrestler's chance to seize her victory over her.

Hikaru indeed landed the moonsault and hooked a leg, trying to keep Bethany pinned to the mat! Hikaru was holding her breath, her whole body tense as she tried to keep Bethany held down to the mat!

"ONE!"

Hikaru nodded her head with the count and her eyes were actually shut. "I can win.... I can win.... I can win!" Hikaru muttered to herself, almost as if she were excited to show the crowd what she had been telling herself all along. She was practically shaking at the prospect of winning for the first time in LAW.... seven matches into her career here!

Bethany was in a bad shape after taking the moonsault from Hikaru, wheezing weakly as she was pinned by her opponent. She could hear the voice of the referee counting for the pin, and if the count reach three, then the match would be over, with Hikaru was the winner.

"THREE!"

And with that, the match was over. Bethany let out a small whimper, feeling dejected over her loss. The referee would call for the bell, ending the match and declaring Hikaru as the winner.

Hikaru did it, somehow she actually did it! As the bell rang she rolled off Bethany and gasped for breath still in shock. Her family told her wrestling was a bad idea even though she was still going to school to get her degree at the same time. Her sisters said it was going to be impossible to be successful doing both at the same time. She was doing good in school but wrestling wasn't anywhere near as successful. 0-6 felt a lot worse than 1-6. She proved she could win!

Hikaru got up, holding her hands in the air and walking around the ring as she waved to the crowd still in shock. After a minute she remembered how bad it felt to come up short each time in the ring so she made her way back over to Bethany offering a hand to help her up.

Bethany covered her eyes with her arm after hearing the bell rang, signifying her loss. It was kind of discouraging, but this also made her more determined to win next time. She would remain on the mat as Hikaru celebrated her win before she saw the Japanese wrestler offering her a hand to help her up.

"Thanks..." Bethany smiled despite her loss as she would get back up onto her feet. At the very least, she was glad that she was defeated by Hikaru. "Congrats for the win..." she said as she congratulate the winner of the match.

HIkaru smiled at Bethany as she got up. "Thanks! You are really good and didn't make it easy! I thought you were going to come back and win for a while. Its my first win in... seven tries." Hikaru said with a nervous laugh. "I was starting to think I made a mistake by wrestling here." She said admitting a fear that was in the back of her mind, growing with each successive loss that mounted.

Hikaru made her way to the ropes and spread them apart to make it easier for Bethany to make it through. Hikaru didn't want Bethany to feel bad for losing especially when she wrestled so well. Hikaru was just flying high from finally winning and she hoped this feeling would spur her on to win more matches down the line.

Bethany gave Hikaru a sympathetic look when she said that this was her first win, but it changed into an encouraging smile as she would then pat the Japanese wrestler's back. "I'm sure things will get better for you from now on. Still, I'm gonna improve myself too. Gotta do my best as well..." she said, conviction clear in her expression.

So, both Bethany and Hikaru made their way out of the ring together, with the crowd cheering for the display of sportsmanship displayed by both wrestlers. It was a good time for both of them despite Bethany ending up losing. She had to enjoy the small things in order to endure the hardships while climbing the stairway to greatness.
