A Lesson in Toughness (for Fairy Dragon)

Soon, the two girls had found an escape from the park which Rosie had grown to hate. As they made their way to the street, Rosie kept an eye out for some kind of bar or restaurant with a bar inside it, rolling her neck as she listened to Mira's answer. She seemed like a nice girl who just had a raw deal. She knew what that was like. She was there once upon a time. "Yeah, sure. I've been there. It sucks. It's a constant fight to make people recognize I'm a badass bitch," replied Rosie rather bluntly. She clearly considered herself the badass bitch she would brag about being, but she also knew not a lot of people considered her that until they got to know her.

Then, Rosie looked over at Mira, not really smiling or giving her any sort of reassuring friendliness, but just stating, "I'm in LAW too. It's a fun place. I love to kick ass there. Sucks that it went badly for you though." Rosie then paused at a cross walk, waiting for them to be able to cross and be on the other side of the road where they could more easily find a place to go to. Looking curiously at Mira again, she asked, "So, what, you want to tell me about how much it sucks or something? Because I don't listen to pity parties unless I'm very drunk. And to be that drunk to listen, I'm usually throwing up soon after." It was a slightly more theatrical telling, but she had usually gotten drunker when people wanted to play 'woe is me' to her, as she hated that crap.

She wasnt sure how serious the struggle to be recognized as a badass bitch actually was for her but she didnt exactly feel like Rosie cared how much detail went into that part. What she did need was to hear her perspective and finding out she worked with LAW didnt surprise her, she likely played the badass bitch part there in full. Though how believable it was had yet to be seen by her. Focusing back on the topic at hand Mira sighed and shook her head at being asked if she was looking for pity.

"Id sooner eat my hair then complain to you all day without a purpose. And I love my hair." Mira said her hair briefly going to the hair on her head. "No what I want is advice and If your in LAW all the better. Recently ive been getting more...aggressive in the ring, both out of a desire to improve and a frustration over my past issues. But even then people still think im a joke. Take the asshole you knocked on his ass. If that had happened to me he'd probably think I was playing hard to get, but to you, he knew you were dangerous and backed off before his hands were ripped f. I want to know how to get that kind of fierceness out of me."

Rosie snickered at Mira's response. It was a good response that she could get behind. Knuckles had her hands stuffed in her pockets as she crossed the street with Miranda, nodding as she listened to her. She was actually a bit sympathetic to her plea. Her head bobbed from side to side as she mulled it over.

"Believe it or not, but people don't come to me for advice," she admitted. It was true. Most people didn't come to her for advice because she was usually rather prickly to speak to. "But like I said, I've been there. There's tons of things you can do to get people to take you more seriously and to be tough. Christ, I don't even know where to begin," said Rosie, quirking an eyebrow at her new drinking buddy, looking her over as they walked along the road. "But it's mostly attitude, Mira. And... I dunno, I don't see much of that attitude in you right now, you know?"

Then, Rosie took a moment and then pointed to a bar coming up. "Hey, let's go there." Then, Knuckles would try to test to see Miranda's temperment. Rosie turned and then shoved the brunette cutie in the face with her palm, mostly just to see what her reaction would be. It would be hard to really tell how this girl's attitude is unless she saw it for herself. And she might as well get it out of the way before they actually started getting friendly.5

"I mean getting mean isn't exactly my strong suit but I shouldn't have to be like that for people not to think that I dont need to be knocked around 24/7 right?" She said after Rosie had given her some advise, it wasnt the most unheard of thing, look and attitude but it was something that clearly plagued Mira after her failure to look intimidating. But as they were heading towards a place Rosie suddenly went and shoved her head first in a rather rude way. Hell touching her face like that was rude.

"H-Hey! What was that about?" She said turning to look at Rosie with a pouting look, she thought about doing the same back briefly before relenting..and then deciding she'd do it anyway because she didnt want to look like shed back down easily. So her hand came up and pushed Rosie's face back as well. "Rude..."

Rosie stared at Mira as she debated what to do about her pie facing, looking absolutely unimpressed. Then, when Mira eventually returned fire with another palm in the tough girl's face, she continued to stare at her with the same expression. After a moment, Rosie spoke, "I was testing you and I mean this in the least insulting way possible, but that was absolutely pathetic." Knuckles sighed and then walked to the bar and opened up the door, walking inside as she continued to speak. "If someone did that to me, I would knock their ass out right there. Why did you even have to think about it?" asked Rosie.

Then, she started to make her way to the bar table and shook her head. "It's not about being mean. It helps, but it's not about that. It's about just looking like you take no crap and in situations that call for it, looking like you have no fear and doubts," explained Rosie Knuckles, leaning over the bar to wait for the bartender to get to her.

"I was thinking about what I should do in the event it causes a scene. In case you didnt notice were on the street not in the middle of the park where theres enough space to ourselves. Cant exactly start a fight here and not risk being pulled in by some cop and fined for disturbing the peace." Mira said with a huff at her efforts being classed s pathetic. "Besides a hand to the face? Not exactly the worst thing that happens to a wrestler."

When they entered a bar and sat down Rosie started to explain herself and give some advice before the bartender asked what she wanted and Mira waved it off. She was already paying for Rosie and something told her shed need to save as much money on that task as possible. "Taking no crap is one thing but is just the look and attitude that make it stick? Cause like im pretty sure theres some people who look for people like that to start shit with. Especially where we work."

As Mira was trying to respond to Rosie, she was doing a series of eye rolls and loud sighs, making it clear her displeasure for the brunette's argument. When the bartender came by, Rosie put a hand up and said, "I need something strong. Stagg and coke." The bartender went to make Rosie's drink as the pink-haired chick looked over at Mira and said, "There is so much wrong with what you said that I don't even know where to start."

With another bothered sigh, Knuckles turned to face Miranda and said, "First of all, you're fucking hot. Nobody is arresting you for punching someone out. You know who cares about getting in trouble? Punk ass losers who live and die by what other people think about them. And you shouldn't care what other people care about you, which makes your whole mindset messed up in the first place!" She huffed and then continued. "And secondly, you know what the worst thing that can happen to you is? Being disrespected and made to look like a punk. If somebody disrespects me, I make sure they have nothing to brag about when they tell their buddies what happen."

The tough girl then crossed her arms and and continued. "And why do you worry what other people want to do to start shit? You need to just know how to end any shit that gets started with you in whatever way you have to. Sometimes it's a mean face, sometimes it's a punch to the jaw." Rosie then shrugged and looked over at the bartender as he gave her a drink. She looked at him and then pointed at Mira. "Get her one too." The bartender nodded and went to get her drink too as Rosie looked at Miranda and said, "I'm not drinking alone. You need to drink with me." She then picked up her drink and took a heart sip of it, looking at her apparent protege with intent.

"Not arrested because im cute..no offense but thats dumb, I cant do a sexy dance and get out of jail free especially if it was because im bruising up someone else who is cute as hell too." She said fighting her on that point but listening to her on others. She understood not caring about people's opinions but she was a dancer and a wrestler, if she didnt get peoples attentions he didnt work. I was as simple as that. Though ending any shit she was in might help her a little bit.

"Yeah well ending shit would be nice. A few more moves that will put annoying bitches away could go along while into helping me out." Mira said not arguing with Rosie on the drinks, she had plenty of money and hopefully once things got going she could make Rosie forget shes not getting as many or any more if possible.

Looking almost exasperated, Rosie gripped at nothing with her free hand and exclaimed, "I have literally gotten out of being arrested at least three times for not being arrested because I am cute A.F.!" Then, Rosie leaned in close and scowled at Mira. "And once because I did do a sexy dance! Do not tell me my life as a badass cute chick who plays by no rules!"

Knuckles scoffed and then took another long sip of her drink, then nodded approvingly, seemingly getting out of her bad mood with the mere taste of alcohol. "Anyway... It's not about ending shit by beating chicks up. It's about ending shit by being intimidating or taking no crap." Then, the pink-haired girl put a hand to her forehead and heaved a sigh. "We shouldn't even be starting here. Can we start with what exactly happened to you that nobody takes you seriously for?"

"Well law enforcement must be much different here then it is back home. You cant get away with nothing there." She semi pouted but it did teach her to keep from getting in trouble so there was that. Though in Japan that seemed to be more of a hinderance to her then anything of Rosie was anything to go by. And she had no reason to call Rosie a liar, especially since if she did she certaintly would not be paying for her drinks or asking for advice.

"Oh that..well.." Suddenly Mira was glad for the drink. She quickly took a swig of it to try and get the words out before she continued. "Okay so before I was a wrestler I was a belly dancer, pretty good at it too, still am I guess. So I thought 'hey that would make a cute gimmick' so thats what I did when I started, and it worked at first. People go crazy seeing someone move like that." Taking another pause she sighed and then got to the core problem. "Then I met this one girl in the ring who had way more experience then me and decided that she would see how much damage the cute dancers cute belly could take. I got beaten to a pulp and then fucked for good measure. Good luck being seen as anything more then a gimmick after that. Ever since then a lot of girls borrow her strategy so now im mostly seen as a target even when agaisnt girls who dont try and do that. Its crazy for no reason. Like I got to the semifinals of a tournament, youd think that would shake the idea itself but no. It didnt." Her mood soured and Mira ended her rant with another sip of her drink..longer then the last one.
