Mostly boring variants of roughing up, nothing Domino would not expect from a well paid specialist problem solver anyway. So this little list lost her attention pretty quickly up until the end.
She fished a data pad out of one of the many pockets of her outfit already activating it from rest mode so that she had access to one of her banking accounts and a transaction already waiting to happen, with one significant number in the sum missing.
"Hm. So mostly more of the same you offered from the beginning. Still your last sentence caught my attention."
She verbalized her thoughts while putting the data pad on a small table sitting a little side way, sliding it into the direction of Roni.
"I did some research regarding your line of work and what the services of a first class problem solver are worth. You will find the sum here topping any offer you could receive from your normal customers, even if I type in a zero in the missing place."
Adding that Domino would lean back, rubbing her legs together once and purse her lips because her interest was rising again. Money and sex made the world go round.
"But that does not have to be a zero. Convince me right here and now that I should add a higher number. In any way you like."
It was pretty obvious that Domino was not interested in hearing more about roughing up stuff.

Re: Pelican Bay, shanghaiing an Italian
Roni Mancini took the data pad and took a look at it. Her lips scrunched up in thought as she nodded a few times. That was a more than respectable amount she was offering. She then shrugged, not exactly wanting to seem eager or anything, and handed back the data pad. "Hey, you have a pretty good offer there, Drake."
Then she noticed her leaning back and rubbing her legs and gain her a strange look when she made her vague proposition. The cogs in her mind churned trying to figure out what Domino wanted exactly. Subtlety wasn't the Italian's thing, and most of what she knew was about roughing up stuff. So she did the only thing logical to her. "You could bring back that pretty little number who gave me my drink and I could kick her cutie patootie if that's what you want," said the Hitwoman with a big smirk. Clearly she just wanted some kind of example of her prowess. What else could she possibly want from her?

Re: Pelican Bay, shanghaiing an Italian
"You want to impress me with showing me something that I expect you to do for me in a distance most of the time, and on one of my other employees? Not a very promising start for your cause."
Domino replied with a little sigh before folding her legs over one another so that the tip of her boot could whip back and forth unrestrained. For anyone that knew her better this was a sign that she was losing interest again because things stayed so focused on brutality.
"Your thug skills don´t exactly excite me. The sum with the zero is your base salary for your martial progress."
Watching her beautiful parrot was actually more exciting for her than to see some poor girl getting her butt handed to her for no reason at all. That was just gross.

Re: Pelican Bay, shanghaiing an Italian
Mancini looked utterly bewildered by Domino's response. What in the world would she want from her, if not her fighting ability. What did she think she was hiring her for? Suddenly, Ronin began to laugh in the face of Drake's seeming disinterest, feeling like she was almost being made fun of now. "Alright, lady. The hell do you expect from me, huh? Do you need me to do some tricks for you? Maybe dance? You're hiring me to beat up and otherwise ruin the lives of random losers. I'm not a monkey. I don't do funny dances or parlor tricks when you snap your fingers."
Roni then stood up, looking a bit more irritated and said the words almost mockingly, "Show me something exciting." Mancini then stepped closer to Domino and pointed at her. "And let me tell you something. I'm not a damn thug. I got a nice suit, killer bod, killer instincts, and there's nobody who can even step to me. So if you want exciting?" Mancini made a gesture with her hand, as if to express what she just said as being the excitement. "Well there you freaking go. You can get excited every time I come back and do the shit that you can't or won't do and that nobody else can do for you. How's that sound there, Domino?" asked the fiery Italian woman, taking her glass again and then sipping it, giving Drake a challenging look.

Re: Pelican Bay, shanghaiing an Italian
"Sounds dull. Even more bruiser stories."
A dark shade of displeasure crept over the face of the swashbuckler of seduction for a second until it returned to a calm impression. Roni did not get it. Very well then. Too bad for her. And she was surely not translating it any further if the girl was too unwilling or uncouth to play.
"All right then Miss Mancini. I don´t quite understand it but I respect your attitude. You, your sadly underused killer body and your suit will then get this paycheck with a zero in the missing number after you leave my ship. Maybe you can earn an even bigger paycheck once you understand what truly excites me in the future."
Suddenly she was cured of the idea of seeing Roni naked soon, this kind of attitude was tiring her out quickly.
Standing up, she would put her glass of wine on the table and make an inviting gesture to move beside her before she was slowly walking over the sundeck in the direction of some stairs.
"Come on, I give you a tour through the Pelican so that you can see what other benefit comes too with the job."

Re: Pelican Bay, shanghaiing an Italian
Roni Mancini's eyes went wide in annoyance with Domino's response. She looked highly irritated, but was keeping it at a simmer, even after she was informed of her paycheck. Subtlety like that rarely went most places with Roni, and she would have been far happier if this captain would just be blunt about whatever the hell it was she wanted.
Still with a sour look on her face, Roni accepted the invitation after downing the rest of her drink. She threw a hand up and just said, "Sure. Grand tour of the tugboat. Let's see it." The words came out slightly bitter despite the Italian's attempt to disguise it, wanting her money more than anything now. She set down her glass and beamed her best smile considering her attitude right now. "Hopefully part of the benefits are more to drink..."

Re: Pelican Bay, shanghaiing an Italian
"Once you enter my service, you will receive retirement funds and the best healthcare money can buy as bonus. My accounting girls will contact you for details."
Domino took the stairs, smiling as if she was doing something relieving after the last minutes. It seemed as the thought of trying to lure out something lewd from Roni had been replaced by a little wanderlust.
Her face brightened up a little bit more when she heard a familiar flapping sound over her and she stopped walking shortly after they had moved over the upward stairs, giving place of the largest deck area of the ship. As it was still early, the place was more or less deserted except for a few girls who were swimming or sunbathing. Little details of pirating like chains, flintlock firearms and cannons had been painfully accurately edited into carvings for chairs, beds and even the stairs.
"This is the pool deck. As you can see, it has an Olympia sized pool, a more shallow playground with open beds for some three stages of lust matches or just for relaxation. Now move a step aside please."
She told casually while a darker shade approached her from the skies. She did not want to endanger her bird because Roni had some killer reflex stuff thing going or something, so she took a small step aside too before her fully grown, deeply blue hyacinth macaw flapped a last time before it landed on her shoulder with a loud squeak, digging its claws into her padded shoulder. Through largely harmless, the beak of the parrot could open a coconut and petting it was kind of risky for that reason if you were a stranger.
"Say hello to Cutlass, Miss Mancini. Just like you, she has a killer body and understands Jack Squat about subtlety."

Re: Pelican Bay, shanghaiing an Italian
Roni Mancini put her heels back on before the tour began, face twisting as she struggled for a moment to slip them on. When she started to follow her, she listened as Domino was talking about retirement funds and healthcare. It would be a decent bonus, especially in her profession. Although she never gave a damn about retirement money. She would always want it now. The Italian stuffed her hands in her pockets and looked around, with relative disinterest. I mean, the place was nice and the decorations were also nice for the silly pirate theme. She nodded when Domino spoke about the pool, still keeping quiet and just being polite enough to listen.
And then she moved slightly as a colorful bird flew over and landed on the shoulder of her to-be employer. Roni gave her a weird look, then gave the bird a weird look. She really was an eccentric type. The slight barb at her expense also didn't put her in a better mood as she just looked at Drake and said in a flat tone, "I'm not saying hi to a bird." She then took a deep breath and looked around. "So what else we got here?"

"Just Don´t listen to the grumpy cat, my dear. Here is your breakfast."
Domino was just talking to her bird after Roni had so rudely dismissed her parrot, nestling in one of her many pockets to produce a nutrition bar whose value would probably buy a very good meal at a very good restaurant before balancing it between two fingers and returning hger attention although not her gaze to Roni.
"I usually give all my employees access to the luxuries of my ship. I don´t host grumpy people though, so I expect you to be in a mood that is fitting for my place when you appear here and there is no bruiser work for you to do. And I don´t react kindly to brawls over some petty bullshit."
After the parrot had taken the nutrition bar and handled it with one claw and then finally flew away again, Domino would walk a little further as they were passing a shorthaired sunbathing woman lying on her front and the captain took her right to give her alluring rear a little slap which caused the girl to yelp out and look at the captain with a played pouting visage which just caused Domino to blink once with an eye and make a revolver gesture with her hand and a smile.
Then she walked to the back of the deck where a very modern gym under toned glasses including a sports bar for healthy refreshments.
"Probably not the drinks you are looking for, but fear not, there is more to come."

Re: Pelican Bay, shanghaiing an Italian
Mancini watched Domino Drake talking to her bird and turned her head away, rolling her eyes. Grumpy cat? Really? If she weren't getting paid, she likely would've told her off by now, and probably would've given her something to remember her by, but money was chief in the Hitwoman's concern most times. She could handle some mild insults from an eccentric chick like Drake.
She looked back to Domino when she spoke to her and gave her an incredulous look. "Please, Drake. I can follow rules. And if they don't bother me here, I'll keep it civil. And if not... Well, I'm sure you have a way of having people settle their differences. Or, maybe, that's why I'm here. To stop that. Who the hell knows." Roni shrugged. She was very good at staying in line, and it would normally take a lot for her to lose her temper so much that she'd screw up a steady paycheck.
Roni followed Domino and watched her play with a girl who was sunbathing looked amused. "Snrk." She stifled a small laugh. The cute little thing looked a bit put off by the booty smack. She ought to have taken it as a compliment, frankly. The captain could get any one of them, but decided to take a moment to play with her. Granted, Roni was a different case. She knew she was hot and probably would've taken umbrage to somebody toying with her in a similar way, but the girl at least could've shown a bit more initiative!
Regardless, Mancini continued following the captain and looked at the gym. It looked nice, especially for a gym. She'd definitely spend some time there if she could tolerate anyone else who she would share it with. And when Drake spoke about drinks, her attention went to what she was talking about. "Well Jesus, you better be saving the best for last then," said the Italian, mostly in jest. Although she would probably want to drink a little more so she could keep her annoyance in check and loosen up.
