Danielle idly sat back on the bench in the locker room, inspecting her well-manicured nails as she waited for the match to begin. Oh, yes, she had heard all the complaints, saying that they were impractical, that she would just break a nail and hurt herself. But all of those degrading words came from fools who had never been in the ring themselves - or, more importantly, on the catwalk. How ridiculous of them, then, to even think they had anything on the greatness of Danielle Degardin! She could easily send twenty of them at once begging for mercy, and that wasn't even beginning to touch about her looks, her class, her glamour. There was no contest! She would accept nothing less than looking her best at any moment, especially not when she was pounding some lowly cretin's head into the canvas.
She heard a whisper beckoning her to the door, and she looked up from where she sat. A smile crossed her face, and she sauntered over, where some underpaid intern was trying to get her out. Something about her having been due for a while now, and that they were waiting on her. She cut the conversation off with a show of her hand, silently shaking her head as she made her way out. She would let the master take it from here.
"Coming first to the ring, from Cannes, France! DANIELLE DEGARDIN!
Dani emerged onto the entrance ramp, planting her hands on her hips as she beamed to the crowd. As had become somewhat usual by now, she was mostly met with boos, when she was met with much of a response at all. Sighing, she made her way down to the ring. It looked like, once again, she was competing in front of a horde of half-literate rednecks with no appreciation for true art or beauty. Lovely. Still, she could at least have the satisfaction of kicking some upstart's ass. As she came into the ring, she draped herself over the ropes, waiting to see who it was she was up against.
