MIXED TORNADO TAG MATCH
To be won by the first team to score three pinfalls or submissions on their opponents
Backstage, the members of Las Superestrellas were gathered in a circle. The girls- Vida, La Hija & Silencia- came out first, taking position along the entrance ramp. Blanco & the Tigresa would come out next, as a tandem, with their partners flanking them on either side, dancing and playing to the crowd. The positioning was a definite mimicry of the dancing girls that lined the entrance ramps of some of the biggest promotions in Mexico, though nothing was done like it in LAW. The girls drew some cheers from the fans, as Blanco and the Tigresa approached fans on either side of the entrance ramp to exchange high-fives, handshakes and even hugs with their fans. Both had fairly successful wrestling careers in Japan, as well as Blanco's cult film work recently, so fortunately they weren't totally new to the LAW crowd. For many, though, this was their first sight of either wrestler in the ring!
The two nodded tersely at one another, then pulled themselves up onto the ring apron. Their teammates retreated backstage, content to watch the match on the monitors. La Sombra and La Santa took opposite ring corners, standing tall and proud, presenting their oil-sheened and well-toned bodies to the crowd as they raised their arms in appreciation of the cheers. Blanco was lean and fit, the oil highlighting his slender musculature. The luchador looked ready for in-ring action, in spite of his time away from active competition. La Santa was curvier and thicker, with her ring gear hugging tight around her wide curves and ample frame, spandex stretching tight around her body. However, the luchadora radiated power despite her recent sabbatical, and she looked as if she was spoiling for a fight. They lept and turned off of the turnbuckles in unison, meeting in the center of the ring.
"Be ready," Santa Tigresa said, sternly. "I don't want you to blow this debut for us. The girls are counting on us, here ..."
"I'm aware," Sombre replied. He could remember all too well La Santa beating him for leadership of the club, and if he was still going to prove that taking time off from the ring for making films and becoming a father hadn't made him soft, he was going to have to work hard to prove it. "I'm not exactly a fan of getting my ass kicked so, you know, I'll do my best." The duo looked a bit stiff and tense, but turned their attention away from one another, and up the ramp to the await their opponents.
