Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Alexios grunted in pain as Kyo axe-handle whacked Alexios back. Kyo’s furious blows eventually wore Alexios down and he stopped ramming Kyo’s midsection. The Greek fell to his knees, momentarily stunned.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
As Alexios fell to his knees, Kyo slumped for a few seconds against the barricade, catching his breath. He knew, however, that he couldn't afford to give the big Greek too much time to recover, and he acted swiftly soon after: he pressed his palms against the barricade and sprang off, aiming a spinning kick hard into the side of Alexios' head!

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Alexios was stunned and, unfortunately, it gave Kyo time to push himself up off of the barricade and nail Alexios with a jump kick. The blow landed on the side of Alexios’ face. The Greek appeared at least momentarily out on his feet and slumped over onto Kyo.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Kyo felt the impact of his kick shiver up his leg as his boot collided with Alexios. The big man staggered, and them slumped down against Kyo, threatening to take him down to the floor or pin him against the barricade. Kyo grimaced and braced his feet, grabbing for one of Alexios' arms.
And then, with a huff of exertion, he spun, trying to whip Alexios around towards the corner post. If Alexios managed to stop in time to prevent a collision, Kyo would be following right behind him, leaping forward to bulldog Alexios face-first into the ringside steps!

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Kyo sent Alexios towards the ring post. The Greek collided with the ring post. The recoil sent him staggering backwards, right into a waiting Kyo. Before Alexios knew it, his vision blurred and then he felt blinding pain as Kyo bulldogged him onto the steps. Alexios was out on his feet propped up only by the ring steps.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
The crowd winced as Kyo managed to drive Alexios face-first into the steps, leaving him nicely stunned. Standing up straight, Kyo wiped the sweat from his eyes and grabbed Alexios by the head, before rolling him under the ropes. Following him into the ring, Kyo wasted no time in dropping across the other man's chest, hooking one of his legs for a pinfall, hoping this would be enough...

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Alexios was thrown into the ring. Kyo covered him for the pin.
ONE!
TWO!
THR-NOOOOOOOO
By a miracle, Alexios kicked out at the last millisecond and shoved Kyo off of him.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Kyo grimaced as Alexios kicked free. Of course it wouldn't be that easy: the big Greek had durability to match his stamina. Still, he thought, he was in control now: he really needed to keep wearing Alexios down if he was going to win this.
Reaching down, he grabbed the big man by the arm to haul him to his feet, before turning to whip him towards the ropes. At the last second, though, he would wrap his arm around Alexios' waist and arch back, trying to instead nail him with a back body suplex!

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Alexios was still dazed and beaten up from Kyo’s offense. He couldn’t yet break out of the Japanese man’s grasp. Kyo turned him around and flung him backwards with a back body suplex. Alexios smashed back down onto the canvass, laid out.

Re: The Hoplite vs. the Samurai: Alexios vs. Kyo
Alexios was flattened to the mat now as Kyo smashed the bigger man to the mat with a back body suplex. He could have tried to go for another pinfall attempt, but he was already seeing just how tenacious the Greek was. He needed to wear him down further.
Grabbing Alexios by the head, he pulled him up into a sitting position and dropped down opposite him, clamping his legs around Alexios' waist, before tucking Alexios' head under his armpit and squeezing tightly in a frontal sleeper. With his free arm, he tried to trap one of Alexios' own arms, trapping his opponent in the middle of the ring with a modified guillotine chokehold.
