A Hotel Confrontation (for Bare)

Post by CaptainL »

"Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod!! I can't believe this is actually happening! That we're actually...here, at Fight the LAW!"

The hotel lobby in Havana was a busy one, with tourists flying in from all over. Some of them were here for the beaches, or the bars, but many were here because Fight the LAW 5 was being held right here in the Cuban capital, and they had tickets to see it up close. And among those visitors was Mai Shinoda, captain of her Tokyo high school's keijo team, and friend and parner of second-generation LAW wrestler Saya Matou. Though no one in Mai's circle was participating in the event, she did have a best friend who was the daughter of one of LAW's biggest names, so that totally counted for something! It was thanks to her proud position in the company that Yuna Matou had been offered VIP tickets to the event, and with her two daughters also being LAW talent, it was only natural they'd have the offer to come along with her. And as for Mai...well, they needed a plus-one. But out of anyone, it was perhaps Mai who was most excited of all about being here in Havana.

"I think this is actually illegal in places! Look!" Paying no heed to the multiple stares and glares thrown around at her, Mai hurried over to a window through which a Havana street sign could be seen behind her, flashing a grin and a couple of peace signs. "Saya! Take a picture!"

"Alright, hold still..." Saya reached into her bag to produce her phone - but she was met with a huff from her older sister Shizuka, who was standing right at her side with her arms crossed.

"Good luck getting her to do that," Shizuka muttered. When she'd heard she would be accompanying her mother to the PPV, she hadn't exactly envisioned herself babysitting her sister and her friend. She'd had to call out of her college classes and arrange a plane, and for what? Just sitting in an arena? Maybe the show would be a good one, sure, but Shizuka couldn't help but feel like something was missing. If she was actually set to compete on the card, maybe that would be a different story...

"Alright, there!"

Almost as soon as Saya had taken the picture, Mai shook her head. "No, nonono! That one was bad! C'mon, I'll look way hotter doing this!" She struck another pose, leaning in and blowing a kiss toward Saya's camera.

"You know," Shizuka muttered, "you didn't even see the picture she took..."

"Doesn't matter!"

Saya, not questioning her best friend even for a minute, took a few more pictures - each time with Mai deciding sight unseen that the shot turned out wrong and that a different angle or pose would look way better. Grumbling to herself, Shizuka glanced off. She didn't know why she bothered putting up with those two sometimes.

And Saya, to her credit, did catch that her sister's patience was wearing thin. Raising an eyebrow, she looked over her shoulder toward Shizuka. But she didn't exactly connect the dots as to where the bespectacled girl's surly demeanor was coming from. "What's the matter, nee-chan? Are you upset you weren't on the card?"

Hearing that, Shizuka fell silent. She bit her lip and blinked a few times. She didn't know what she wanted to say - it was perfectly in character for Saya to so wildly misjudge why she was so annoyed (especially if it meant Saya didn't realize she was the cause of that annoyance), and simultaneously surprisingly insightful for Saya to hit the nail on the head regarding her insecurities. But the Young Lioness tensed a little tighter. She'd need to answer that question somehow. She wasn't exactly keen to open up her inner thoughts - especially not to Saya. Instead, she pushed her glasses back up her nose and looked off into the crowd.

"Me? Pssht...no way. You know, I bet the reason I'm not on the card is because everyone's too afraid of me to even try!" As the words left her, she smirked a little wider at the thought. That might have been a lie to cover her ass, but...the idea had its appeal.

Or at least, it did, until Saya proceeded to throw her arm around her sister and pull her into a tight, unasked-for hug. "YEAH! That's right! You're so cool you'd DEFINITELY kick the asses of everyone in LAW with your arms tied behind your back!" she exclaimed...louder than Shizuka would've liked.

Alizeh hummed softly as she walked out into the hotel lobby after dropping her bags off and changing into something more comfy... Revealing as hell but certainly not out of place given the tropical climate of Cuba. A beautiful country and one of the few that Alizeh had never wrestled in before, but man was the plane ride killing some of her initial enthusiasm for getting to compete here.

Luckily though her match was on day two of Fight The LAW so she had tonight to relax and have some fun while tomorrow she could use to watch the show and prepare for her own bout on day two. Especially necessary as well given she was not in the best of moods having just gotten off the plane less than a hour ago but she wasn't about to stay cooped up in her room. As such Alizeh now found herself wandering idly around the lobby, debating whether she should go out on the town, find the gym or pool or whatever else may strike her fancy.

It was this idle wandering about that landed her in ear shot of some fellow LAW wrestlers, that in of itself wasn't a big deal since most of the talent competing or even watching without being on the card were placed in the same hotel. No what Alizeh found curious was the trio of girls talking that they weren't technically fully fledged LAW wrestlers but rather young lionesses.

A fact that Alizeh was mostly able to tell due to being familiar with the roster of incoming talent since she sometimes helped out with training some of them. Now these three were actually some of the few she didn't know very well, other then the fact that two of them were related to another wrestler on LAW, a rather big name as well in Yuna Matou. But what really got Alizeh's attention was the fact that they were talking rather loudly about how one of them wasn't on the card for being able to kick any main roster talents ass.

This caused Alizeh's eye to twitch slightly. Generally Alizeh found most of the young lionesses to be lovely and sweet and respectful girls and got along swimmingly with most of them. This girl however Alizeh could tell had a bit of an attitude and a chip on her shoulder and if her own experience had taught her anything it was that letting such an attitude grow unchecked was a recipe for disaster down the line.

That coupled with the fact that she was frankly annoyed with her long plane ride without having a chance to chill before hearing such non sense made Alizeh approached the trio of trainees so that Alizeh could remind them of the fact that they were in fact trainees, starting with a loud clearing of her throat as she got within ear shot of them.

"Is that so? Well now here I wish I wasn't spoken for on this ppv already. Otherwise I'd be HAPPY to give you the place you oh so clearly think you deserve. Though I doubt it'd go the way you think it would, cause trust me, I'd NOT be afraid to step in the ring with ya little lioness." Alizeh said in a very sarcastic tone while leaning back, one hand hanging by her side while the other rested on her hip, unintentionally showing off her toned abdomen and full chest that stood proud in her current revealing top as she waited to see how these three would react to her newfound presence.

Almost as soon as the words had left her sister's mouth, Shizuka clenched her teeth in a wince. In part, that was because she was being unnecessarily loud, and in part that was because those words were accompanied by a tight hug from a girl who didn't know her own strength (or a lot of other things, for that matter), but neither of those things were anything new when it came to Saya Matou. No, what really got on Shizuka's nerves was that Saya was being loud in public. She already had enough of that coming from Mai, and she didn't need anyone causing a scene. Not when she just wanted to blend into the background and get on with her life. She was a foreigner in a busy hotel room, but in a place that got a lot of tourists that in and of itself wasn't unusual. Not unless there was anyone drawing undue attention toward her.

And that was exactly what her companions were doing - and someone had taken notice.

Shizuka froze, turning around to see Alizeh walk into the room. Even amidst a crowd, her presence was a commanding and unmistakable one - she moved with the confidence of a world-class wrestler, and her physique was on full display. In that moment, she was the only person who mattered. For a brief moment Shizuka's eyes drifted downward to her well-toned midsection, and she bit at the inside of her cheek. But what struck her even more than Alizeh's abs was her attitude - she had heard what the Matou sisters were saying, and she felt the need to interject.

"...Excuse me?" Shizuka stood a little straighter, pushing her glasses back up her nose as her eyes narrowed on Alizeh. Even if the green-haired girl had far more experience under her belt, she was throwing out a challenge toward Shizuka, and she had made it clear that she was willing to deliver on it. Hearing that made Shizuka's eye twitch. If there was one thing she didn't like, it was people who talked down to her. And while Alizeh certainly had the experience to back herself up, right now, Shizuka definitely felt singled out.

"Ohhhh, shit~" Mai chimed in, leaning in closer to the scene with a smirk on her face. Saya, meanwhile, pat her sister on the shoulder with a grin. "Yep! You heard it! Shizuka here could totally kick your ass!~"

In any other circumstance, Shizuka's response would be to reprimand her. Just another one of Saya's clueless blunders. But this time was different. This time...Shizuka knew she needed to speak her mind.

"Saya..." she said, "Step back. I can handle this myself." Then, placing her hands on her hips, she stepped up toward Alizeh, looking her straight in the eye and bumping her admittedly much smaller chest against hers.

"That's an awful lot of nerve of you to go picking fights with trainees. Is your ego really that fragile? Because if you really want a match that badly, we can make it happen."
