So, Emily thought as she slid on her leotard and checked herself in the mirror, here we go again.
It had only been a week since Emily had fought Alizeh Midori in the ring. The bout itself had been...well...fantastic. She couldn't remember the last time she had been allowed to show her abilities in such an intense bout, even back in Wrestle Angels, especially against such a quality opponent. And Alizeh had certainly lived up to her reputation: she had been resourceful, tenacious, quick thinking, skilled...and more than a little flirty...
And somehow the two of them had ended up having dinner at a nice Thai restaurant after the fact. They had laughed about past experiences and dumb moments in the ring. They had bantered. They had engaged in more than a little friendly trash talk. And...
Well, not much else came of it. There had been no commitments one way or another. But Alizeh had given her a nice little peck on the cheek as a parting gift...and Emily was still thinking about it even now. She could see herself blushing in the mirror at the very thought of it.
Shaking her head, she tried to focus. Their bout had impressed so many of the fans that there had apparently been demand for a rematch. And it was one that Emily had accepted eagerly, throwing down the gauntlet for Fight the Law 5. Alizeh had won fair and square last time, but Emily had a score to settle. It wasn't the fact that she lost, or the fact that she had been princess carried out of the ring: it was quite simply that Alizeh was a worthy opponent, and Emily wanted another shot to actually defeat her.
Or maybe this was all an elaborate excuse to see Alizeh again. Honestly, Emily would see that as a bonus to actually defeating the emerald warrior.
At that point, one of the ring attendants told Emily she was up. Taking a deep breath, she turned and strode towards the ring entrance, just as her theme music came on. Spoiler
"Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for the best of THREE falls!
Introducing our first competitor,
From Edinburgh, Scotland,
The Noble Fighter of the Wrestle Angels,
EMILY NELLLLSSOOOOOOOON!" Spoiler
The crowd burst into cheers at that moment as Emily entered the arena. Calm and aloof, the Scotwsoman strode relentlessly down the ramp, looking utterly confident as she made her way to the ring. Sliding under the ropes, Emily made her way to the center and extended her arms outwards, taking in the cheers of the audience around her, before turning, waiting for Alizeh to make her own entrance...
Alizeh couldn't help but smile excitedly as she stretched and got ready for the match ahead of her tonight. Just a week after her climatic battle against Emily Nelson the green haired girl now found herself pitted against the woman once again. That's how great the demand was for a rematch between the two talented wrestlers. Not to mention due to the timing and scale of the bout it was to be featured on Fight The LAW, and per Alizeh's own suggestion, they escalated it up from their past bout to best of five. It was her own little touch to insure the two had allll the time they wanted to fight and be all up against one another.
Especially given how enchanted Emily seemed to be with her, something that made Alizeh's smile just a bit brighter as she thought about it. Honestly it was a shame they couldn't do more after their dinner last week and she had meant to contact her to meet up again but then came the news for their rematch and it was all match negotiations. However in Alizeh's opinion this was actually a bit better for their next meeting, after all with their first match being as it did, she knew their second would be even more exciting and.. enamoring as their first. Hearing the opening crackle of lightning that signaled the start of her entrance music Alizeh would pump her fists together in anticipation as she got up and headed to the entrance ramp, bouncing from heel to heel for a moment before then stepping forward and through the entrance curtain to the top of the ramp! Now standing before the fans Alizeh would strike a pose with a grin on her face, showing off her toned body in her grey and orange attire, taking in the applause and adulation from the crowd as she then began making her way down the ramp towards the ring, a decided bounce in her step. Spoiler
Upon reaching the ring apron Alizeh would jump up and land feet first on the apron, turning to look out over the crowd as she gave a sharp twist of her hips once, twice and then three times before throwing her arm in the air and arching far back while holding the rope with a smile. Pulling herself back up Alizeh would energetically vault herself over the top ropes and into the ring proper.
Approaching the nearest corner Alizeh would hop up on and it throw her arms up once more as the cheers grew louder in response before Alizeh hopped back down to the mat. turning around and approaching the center of the ring Alizeh would smile at the woman across from her. "Hey gorgeous, we got to stop meeting like this." Alizeh said with a teasing tone to her voice as she looked the woman over, already feeling excitement start to course through her.
Emily watched with more than a little excitement as Alizeh strode into the ring. There she was: the greenette was still wearing the same orange and grey outfit as before, still looking every bit the confident and powerful warrior. Emily knew her measure, knew just what Alizeh would bring to this fight tonight, and she was sure Alizeh had the same thoughts about her. The fact that there was a mutual attraction between them wasn't going to hide the fact that this was going to be a rough match.
As Alizeh finished showboating for the crowd, the greenette approached her with a friendly, teasing greeting. Emily smiled, and stepped in a little closer to her.
"Oh aye? Ye could 'ave said no to this match, but ye didn't," she said, letting a bit of the Scots accent come out as she levelled her eyes with Alizeh, leaning forward so their faces were tantalizingly close. "Just dinnae think history will be repeating itself. Now that I've already lost to ye once, I going to be a lot less nice to ye in this match."
