Chiaki Nanami and Fuuka Yamagishi were both excited for this match for different reasons. Chiaki's excitement was from her opponent. Specifically one member out of Sweet Sunrise: Niko Tomiji. It was nothing against Marisol Vermillion, but she was simply too new to be on many radars. In fact, it was specifically Marisol's inexperience that saw this match be put on the Undercard, instead of the Main card.

Chiaki's interest in Niko came from that fact that Niko had built herself a reputation as one of LAW's most prolific smother specialists, and Chiaki was very interested in smothers. She had even brought Niko up to fellow smother aficionado Kanako Sawatari before, suggesting that the two of them have a match. It has yet to come to fruition, but Chiaki certainly didn't object to being the one to fight Niko instead.

That said, Niko was definitely a superior wrestler to either herself or Fuuka, and Marisol's ability remained to be seen. But that led to why Fuuka was excited about this match: Oil. The great equalizer. Fuuka had never lost in an oil wrestling match before. She possessed in innate skill for it which she had honed into mastery. Chiaki couldn't brag of similar talents, but training with Fuuka as much as she did still afforded Chiaki greater than average experience with the medium.
Theme Music
The Keyboard Warrior's music came on, and they were greeted with roaring cheers. Chiaki's nature as a streamer did give her a pretty big international reach relative to the average LAW fighter, so such a large reception wasn't exactly a surprise. Chiaki took the lead between the two teammates as they approached the ring, though not because of any crowd reasons though; she was up first.

Marisol took a deep breath in preparation for the match ahead of her as she stood already set for her match backstage. Tonight was a big night for her career as while still a relative fledgling in LAW she had managed to earn a spot onto one of its major pay per views fight the law. One that wasn't even taking place in their base of Japan but rather in the beautiful sunny shores of Cuba, a place that reminded her somewhat of home, so she was actually feeling a frightful mix of both home sickness as well as pre match jitters.

"Don't worry we got this."

Luckily Marisol was not having this match alone as it was a tag team bout, a fact she was reminded of by the comforting words of her partner in said bout, as well as the reassuring had on her shoulder as well making her smile softly as she looked over her shoulder and nodded appreciatively to Niko Tomiji, her partner for this bout.

Hehe thanks Niko, I think I needed that." Marisol said appreciatively causing the pink haired girl to smile as she stretched. "Oh hehe no worries girl. Luckily this is just the undercard so it won't be anything major no matter how it goes but its also oil which is tricky so just follow my lead and we'll have this wrapped up in no time!" Niko said confidently bolstering Marisol's own.

In general that's how it had been since Niko had first met Marisol back in the gym. They trained and bantered with each other, bonding over similar fighting styles, with Niko boosting Marisol's confidence whenever she needed it, and in turn Marisol giving Niko some creative thoughts for how to continue her career, one such thought being a tag team. Something she had never really considered, even with the closeness to her mentor Tiki, so Niko decided to go full in on the idea of teaming up with each other. Luckily though Niko's reputation and Marisol's promising debut was enough to get their tag team debut on this ppv and in a rather unique match.

One that left both girls in their bikinis given the oily nature of it. Not that either of the girls particularly minded much given their respective bodies were insane and neither had a problem showing them off. "Ok ready for this?" Niko asked, offering her hand to Marisol who nodded as she reached out, grasping the girl's hand, following her though the curtain as their music began playing, or rather Niko's music since she was the bigger name and they hadn't had a chance to find a combined theme for the both of them.
Spoiler
Coming out together and raising their combined hands into the air the two naturally got a tone of applause for the two as they then turned and bumped their booties together much to the crowds appreciation as the two then spun, letting go of eachother's hands and each striking their own respective poses for the fans, really showing off their bodies in their bikinis which both struggled to contain the assets the two had packing together as they then began to make their way down the ramp and towards the ring, climbing the apron and slipping between the ropes and into the ring itself, each heading towards their corner while smirking confidently at their opponents, neither having any amount of hesitance at all now that the were out and in the cheers of the crowd.

There was always a difference between seeing something through a screen, and seeing it live. Chiaki knew this. And despite how much screens dominated her life, she also knew that unless somebody used the screen to lie about how something looked, they usually looked more impressive in person. All that to say, seeing Niko and Marisol in person for the first time, the dependence of a partner was the only thing keeping Fuuka from actively wanting to be smothered by her opponents.

Fuuka was similarly focused on the smothering potential possessed by the bodies of Niko and Marisol. Though rather than doing so out of desire, Fuuka was focusing from a sense of wariness. Smothers were one of the best ways to defeat her, and both members of Sweet Sunrise looked like they would attack her with such tactics. No amount of physical durability would protect Fuuka if her opponents made her lungs stop working. More than anything, Fuuka had to stop the stacked duo from using such moves on her.

"Hey hey," Chiaki said from her corner. "Nice to meet you."

"Yes, it is a pleasure," Fuuka said from outside the ring. "And congratulations on your team debut."

After Sweet Sunrise returned the pleasantries, Chiaki would speak again, "So, who's your team's point character?" She had no clue if her opponents would get tag fighting game references, but that was not going to stop her from making them.
