"Amazon" Alaina Sander-Haines vs. Gemma Faraday: A Battle of Pride

Alaina was in the locker room, pacing about as she was clad in her one piece tiger print swimsuit and matching kneepads as well as boots. She had been a part of a tag team victory of The British Bombshells but Gemma had channeled her inner Lisa Rampart, slamming Alaina silly and gaining a pinfall against heavyweight! Alaina was happy for the upstart but embarrassed herself. Gemma said she could take Alaina in a standard match so the amazon was going to take her to task, making her put her money where her mouth was!

As the music of the amazon played, Alaina came out to a tremendous roar of cheers. She paused at the top of the ramp holding her arms out and flexing, striking a couple poses to show off the full muscular power of her 5'9'' 187lb frame. She winked to the crowd as she struck an old pinup girl pose, then strut down the ring swaying her hips a bit... a throwback to her younger days. She high fived fans all the way down and even made a stride around the ring to high five everyone she could! The amazon climbed into the ring and stood tall, holding her arms out to bask in the love of the crowd for a moment before setting casually into a corner to await the fiery Gemma!

Gemma was doing final stretches as she waited for the ring crew sent her down to the arena. Pulling her legs long and lean, extending her spine, locking her fingers behind her back as she stretched out, Gemma wanted to make absolutely certain she was ready for this. Tonight, her opponent was veteran Alaina Saunders- a woman Gemma remembered winning matches and squashing her heroines when she was young- and Gemma had to be absolutely ready for her. Recently, Alaina and her tag partner Tina had faced Gemma and her own partner Holly in tag competition. A competition that, sadly not surprisingly, the British Bombshells had come up on the losing end of. Now, because Gemma had run her mouth some, it looked like she had a chance to even that score.

Gemma got the signal, and jogged out to the entrance ramp. Emerging from backstage to cheers, Gemma threw a fist up into the air to greet her fans. She smiled, knowing that she could always count on a warm reception. Bouncing down to the ring, Gemma high-fived rows of fans on her way to the ring steps. Gemma wiped her boots, then hopped up onto the corner turnbuckle. Now that she was in proximity to the waiting Alaina, the size difference between the two women was apparent. For a moment, Gemma wondered how she'd ever managed to hoist the Amazon up for the series of slams that she'd managed to put Alaina down with ...

Gemma threw her hands up into the air, making herself seem a little bigger and giving the fans one more reason to cheer. Grinning, the Brit bounced off the turnbuckle and into the ring. Shaking out the last of her nerves, Gemma prepared for the opening bell.

"So, luv," Gemma said with a smirk, "you ready to get slammed around this ring a couple more times, then?" Gemma winked, looking cocky, hoping to remind Alaina of her earlier pinfall, and maybe throw her off her game. Or, at the very least, remind Gemma herself that she'd pinned this woman once before- she could totally do it again!

Alaina shook her head, crossing her arms as Gemma came put, talking as cocky as ever. The amazon smiled a slight bit. "Girl you won't know what hit ya after tonight." Alaina said.

The bell rang and Alaina was out for what could best be called redemption. She lunged in, reaching out to try to wrap Gemma up in a grapple! "Show me whatcha got... ya have to be better than big, bad, thunderthighs Lisa Rampart.." Alain a said, gritting her teeth.

Gemma gritted her teeth at the sound of Lisa Rampart's name. Gemma had remembered in their last encounter, where she'd known the veteran Alaina from. She could still remember being a young fan then, watching in star-struck horror as Alaina had totally, completely and utterly destroyed her childhood heroine Lisa. Gemma had cried her eyes out that night, after Alaina had squashed the woman Gemma idolized. Lisa had never been the same after that loss, and Gemma had never forgotten it!

"You'll wish you hadn't said that," Gemma growled, as she rose her arms to lock up with Alaina. Grunting, Gemma bucked her body against Alaina's more powerful, dominating figure. Knowing she couldn't overpower her, Gemma went another route- kicking her leg up, slamming Alaina in the belly with a hard knee strike to fend her off!

Alaina stepped in and lunged at Gemma, only to take a hard knee to the abdomen! "Ugh!" Alaina groaned staggering back a couple steps as she doubled over. She kept her eyes on Gemma, trying to fight through the pain, recalling her old embarrassment at Gemma woman handling her in the tag match. With a loud shout the amazon tried to lunge forward, leaping and extending her arm as she tried to catch Gemma with a wild clothesline attempt!

It wasn't the most graceful thing Alaina had ever done, especially with the pain in her abdomen making her form even crazier but Alaina was not going to be reactionary in the match. She wanted to control the tempo from start to finish!

Gemma's leg felt a bit rocked, after the collission with Alaina's taut belly. The punky Brit smiled, watching the Amazon double over.

"Expecting a pushover?" Gemma asked, with a smirk. "I'm not so airheaded I'd try to lock up with you, luv! You'll have to try harder than that!" Gemma fell back a bit, confident that she'd rocked Alaina enough to get in a shot of her own. Unfortunately, this confidence was misplaced.

Before Gemma could rush back in with the head of steam she needed for a dropkick, Alaina was back up and running in with a powerful clothesline! Gemma's eyes popped open in shock, Alaina's muscular arm slamming into her chest. Gemma's feet went one way, and the rest of her went the other. The slender Brit went down to the canvas, landing hard on her back.

"Aaagh," Gemma groaned, bouncing off the ring. The Brit scrambled back up to her feet, disoriented by the wild blow. If Alaina had been able to aim that a little better, she realized, Gemma would still be sucking wind on the mat. Now, she still had a chance. Back on her feet, Gemma answered with a clothesline of her own- just as wild, but just as determined as Alaina's. The crowd's voices started to rise, seeing the intensity of these two women coming out right in the opening moments of the bout!

Alaina saw Gemma rise up and rush at her with a wild look in her eyes but Alaina wanted to show Gemma that she was the amazon, not just an old lady stepping into a ring! She braced herself and as Gemma crashed into her Alaina stumbled back a few steps... but stayed up! "You hit like Lisa... soft!" Alaina said as she stepped back in and sent a sharp body punch into Gemma's abdomen! She wasn't normally a big heel, but what many didn't know about her matches against Lisa Rampart is that the big Brit treated her awfully in the backstage area, calling her an overhyped piece of trash on many occasions.

Alaina didn't mind being a big, baddie.... even if she would fight clean she did run her mouth at times, and this was one of them! Alaina would reach out to grab hold of Gemma and scoop her up, slamming her down to the mat as hard as she could! She flexed her arms and began to strut about, striking a pinup girl pose before showing off her powerful body yet again to the crowd.

Gemma's eyes went wide when her attack didn't take Alaina off her feet. After their last encounter, when Gemma had delivered a series of scoop slams to a suffering Alaina, the punky Brit had kind of forgotten that Alaina was called 'the Amazon' for good reason! Worse, though, were Alaina's taunts.

"How dare-OOF!" Alaina's fist sank into Gemma belly, knocking the wind out of her and doubling her over. Gemma's arms went to nurse her aching abs, as she stumbled around the ring. "D-damn," Gemma grunted, embarrassed at letting herself get roped in by the taunt. However, Alaina wasn't done yet.

"OH!' Gemma cried out, as Alaina scooped her up. Gemma hung in the air a moment, legs spread wide above her, eyes staring down at the mat in surprise and fear. Finally, Gemma's body was drilled hard into the mat with a scoop slam that thundered through the arena. The scoop slam was a fairly simple move, but one that was displaying the Amazon's superior power to the crowd well, tonight. "Aaargh!" Gemma cried out, arching her back in agony as she writhed in pain. Flailing about in agony, Gemma thought she must have looked extra pathetic beneath the strutting, preening Amazon!

"Ya managed to slam me good last time... still not sure how... but that won't happen again tonight." Alaina said as she made her way back to Gemma, again pulling her up by the hair. The amazon bent over to scoop Gemma up again, and when she picked her up Alaina turned to face the turnbuckle, lowering Gemma a bit as she ran full speed towards the corner! Alaina's goal was to crash into the corner, holding Gemma so she struck the turnbuckle back-first! IF that happened Alaina would face the center of the ring once more, rushing back and jumping up to complete the move with a running powerslam!

Gemma's back was sure to ache.... provided Alaina was about to pull off her planned offense! If Gemma countered or stopped it then it would be the amazon stuck in a compromised position and that was the last thing Alaina wanted!

Gemma was fighting hard to put on her game face, despite the pain that shot through her entire body. Alaina's threats and dominant posture were pretty belittling, making the punky Bombshell struggle to keep herself looking competitive despite the dominance displayed by the Amazon.

"Tougher than you think, you- rrrgh!" Gemma's retort was cut short as Alaina scooped her up again, pulling the slender Brit upside down and ramming her hard against the turnbuckle before she knew what was happening! "Aaaoowww!"

Gemma's body spasmed in Alaina's arms, twitching and grinding against the Amazon as Alaina set up her follow-up move. The running powerslam crashed Gemma's body into the canvas hard, rocking her thunderously against the ring. Once Alaina released her, Gemma was left lying spread eagle. Her chest heaved as she gasped for air, her red lips in a perfect 'o' of shock while she tried to process the pain running through her body!
