Atomic Tempest - Alizeh and ???

Post by SwordSavior1 »

The arena lights dipped to a low, electric hum, that specific, suffocating silence that precedes a storm. The massive screen above the entrance ramp flickered with the LAW logo, casting long, jagged shadows across the sea of expectant faces.

The ring announcer stepped into the center of the squared circle, the spotlight hitting him with blinding intensity. He raised the microphone, his voice booming through the speakers, reverberating off the rafters with a gravelly authority that demanded attention.

"The following contest," he began, pausing to let the anticipation coil tight in the bellies of the crowd, "is a Multi-Fall Prisoner of War match! The first competitor to secure two falls wins!"

So just a spicy match?

The crowd erupted. A roar of anticipation, confusion, and primal excitement surged through the arena, a physical wave of noise that shook the barricades. The stipulation hung heavy in the air, a dark promise of servitude. In the world of LAW, this wasn't just a match; it was a auction block disguised as sport. Another loser was about to become a plaything, a toy to be used and discarded at the winner's whim.

No music played. No competitor emerged. The ring sat empty, the canvas pristine and white under the harsh, singular spotlight, waiting to be stained with sweat and effort. The crowd murmured, a restless ocean of whispers, craning their necks toward the entrance ramp, expecting the Emerald Storm to burst through the curtain at any moment. While Alizeh's opponent herself was a mystery, a blank slate that only fueled the gambling frenzy in the stands.

But the seconds stretched, turning into a minute. The tension thickened, becoming almost tangible, tasting of stale popcorn and nervous sweat.

Then, the sound of heels clicking against the metal ramp cut through the noise. Click. Click. Click. It wasn't the thunderous stomp of a brawler or the rhythmic bounce of a high-flyer, but the measured, deliberate pace of someone in absolute control. Someone who knew that the show didn't start until they decided it did.

Wicke Sykes emerged from the shadows of the curtain.

She wore her signature white lab coat over a sleek pink leotard that hugged her veteran physique, the fabric shimmering slightly under the stage lights. Her dark hair was pulled back, severe and practical. She carried no music, no fanfare, just a microphone clutched in her right hand, her expression calm, almost amused, like a scientist observing a particularly interesting specimen under a microscope.

The crowd buzzed, a wave of recognition rippling through the arena upon seeing the beloved veteran. Wicke was a legend, a mother figure to some, a terrifying intellect to others. Seeing her in the ring, dressed for combat but holding a mic, created a dissonance that only made the audience lean in closer.

She reached the ring, stepping through the ropes with the ease of someone who had done it ten thousand times. She walked to the center, the spotlight catching the sharp lines of her coat and the knowing smirk playing on her lips. She twiddled the microphone, the faint static feedback hushing the crowd into a focused silence.

Wicke looked toward the entrance ramp, her eyes narrowing slightly, waiting. She didn't raise a peep. Not until Alizeh would come down the ramp to meet her supposed opponent.

Alizeh hummed softly as she stretched backstage, idly wondering just what the hubbub about her match tonight was. A two out of three falls match WITH a prisoner of war stipulation was pretty extreme of a situation to not even announce who was participating. Or at least everyone participating. While it wasn't formally put forward it got around pretty quickly that Alizeh would be one of the ones taking part in this match but no such word on who she'd be facing. It was odd to say the least since surprise debuts or returns were rarely this well kept.

"Whatever." Alizeh said more to herself than to anyone else as she began to walk down the backstage halls, rolling her shoulders, not caring about who she was set to face for this match, even if the extremity of the stipulation still confused her. After all this was the type of stipulation you'd usually reserve for a big tie breaker match... and the only person Alizeh had faced that could warrant such a stipulation... Alizeh paused and shivered slightly before shaking her head, knowing for a fact that match woudn't be made above her head... not without telling her so she banished that thought and continued on to the guerilla position.

Just in time to spot the screen and immediately gasp in pleasant surprise. Wicke Sykes was out there. A heavyweight bombshell that Alizeh was honestly something of a fan of. Definitely on her list of people within the heavyweight division to face, especially if she ever won the open weight title. So while she would have liked a bit more pomp and circumstance for their first bout she was certainly fine with facing the woman, even with such severe conditions for the bout. Seeing that the older woman had a mic though Alizeh would be sure to grab one herself before her music started up.
Spoiler
Stepping through the curtains and throwing both hands in the air the thick tension within the arena would be broken as Alizeh's electrifying music sounded out throughout the stadium causing the fans to cheer and whoop as Alizeh smiled out at them. Taking a moment to bask in the crowd's attention Alizeh would then make her way down the ramp, smiling and nodding at the fans as she did before approaching the ring, hopping onto the apron and turning it to the fans, posing for them and showing off her new ring gear for all to drink in the sight of before she gripped the top ropes and vaulted up and over into the ring proper.

Now in the ring fully Alizeh would have a coy smile on her face as she moved to stand just in front of the older woman. "Well well well I was wondering why things were so hush hush tonight but considering its someone like you I can see why." Alizeh said with a smirk, overlooking Wicke once more before speaking again. "Though all the secrecy wasn't needed. All you had to do was ask for a match babe, especially if you wanted to add such... spicy stipulations." Alizeh said with a wink before speaking again. "So tell me Ms.Sykes, why jump through all the hoops for this match?" Alizeh asked genuinely curious for all the secrecy and the rather extreme stipulation for the bout.

Wicke's eyes swept over Alizeh with the unhurried precision of someone cataloguing a rare specimen. A performer's instinct. Good. Performers were easier to read.

She let the silence stretch just long enough to be deliberate, then raised the microphone.

"Mrs. Sykes," she corrected, her voice carrying that particular brand of warmth that somehow made the correction feel like a gift rather than a rebuke. "Most people forget that. Alizeh. It's a small thing. A detail. Details matter."

A brief pause.

"Details matter because they tell you how someone thinks," Wicke continued, pacing a slow half-circle around Alizeh, her heels clicking against the canvas with rhythmic precision. "You noticed I had a microphone. You noticed the secrecy. You noticed the stipulation. But you didn't notice that I haven't moved to a fighting stance. Did you notice that I'm not wearing my usual boots."

The veteran was wearing the same white lab coat, the same pink leotard, but her feet was graced by simple heels. Not the footwear of someone preparing to grapple.

Wicke smiled. A slow, genuine smile that crinkled the corners of her eyes.

"And that's the thing, isn't it?" Wicke said, her voice dropping to something almost conversational. "It would be an absolute delight to face you, Alizeh. Truly. You carry a legacy that I respect deeply, your mother Aella was a force of nature in her own right, and what you've built in LAW speaks for itself. A match between us? The crowd would eat it alive. But that wasn't my priority tonight."

She paused, letting the words hang in the air like smoke.

"No,"
Wicke said, her gaze drifting past Alizeh's shoulder toward the entrance ramp. "Tonight isn't about me. Tonight is about a real trial. Something that matters."

She paused, letting the words hang in the air like smoke.

"No," Wicke said, her gaze drifting past Alizeh's shoulder toward the entrance ramp. "Tonight isn't about me. Tonight is about a real trial. Something that matters."

Wicke turned back to face Alizeh fully and something shifted in her expression. The amusement was still there, but underneath it was something fiercer. Pride. Possessiveness. The look of someone presenting their life's work to the world.

"You see, Alizeh, I haven't spent time preparing for a match with you. I've spent time preparing someone else for a match with you." Wicke's voice began to rise, filling the arena, the microphone amplifying every syllable with surgical clarity. "Someone I found discarded. Someone the world wrote off before she ever had the chance to prove what she was."

The crowd began to stir, a low rumble of anticipation building in their chests.

"I took that girl in. I gave her purpose. I gave her...only the meaningful pain, the kind that teaches you what your limits actually are and then demands you exceed them."

Wicke's free hand rose, pointing across the ring toward the entrance ramp, her arm extended, her finger unwavering.

"She is my creation. My protégé. The flame I stoked from a dying ember into something that will not be extinguished."

Wicke's voice hit its crescendo, raw and reverberating through every speaker in the arena.

"NASHI DRAGNEEL!"

Nashi's excitement was through the roof as she waited backstage for her name to be called for her grand return to LAW. Months ago, she was fired purely because of one manager hating her and wanting to her out of LAW. Nashi thought her wrestling career which to a performer like Nashi felt like a death sentence. However, the woman who defeated her Wicke Sykes gave her a chance of rebirth, to rise from the ashes from that defeat and train under her tutelage in the Shadow Fortress to become greater than ever before. With that training she became a Fiery sensation across the Indies in America and Japan and even managed to win a couple of titles along the way. Nashi became such a success that LAW finally gave her a chance to return to LAW, to start over fresh after such a disappointing first run she had.

When Nashi was told of this opportunity, she was unbelievably excited she had to do it, but the catch was she had to defeat a competitor who was also young and made a name for herself and that person was Alizeh Midori. At first Nashi could see why it would be Alizeh; both young girls are middleweights who also come from a wrestling dynasty something that would make people excited with just the idea of these two going head-to-head and now it was finally time. "Come on, any second now." Nashi muttered to herself as she impatiently tapped her foot on the backstage floor as she did some light stretches to iron out of any of the kinks out of her body. The Idol had her eyes glued to the TV as both Wicke and Alizeh made their entrances; the Idol couldn't help but chuckle as it seemed their plan to fake out the crowd with a match between Wicke and Alizeh seemed to have paid off. "Hehe, I knew it would work." The idol giggled before beginning to exit the locker room and strut through the backstage hallway before finally being behind the curtains. "Any second now Nashi. Don't worry, you got this." She muttered to herself trying to give herself some pre-match pep talk as she took a deep breath before letting it all out now having confidence glued to her face. "I took that girl in. I gave her purpose. I gave her...only the meaningful pain, the kind that teaches you what your limits actually are and then demands you exceed them. She is my creation. My protégé. The flame I stoked from a dying ember into something that will not be extinguished" As Wicke hyped up Nashi the Idol jumped from did some light jumping from heel to heel to let the adrenaline to sink into her body until those magic words came from her mentors mouth. "NASHI DRAGNEEL!" That was the signal and without a second of delay, Nashi burst through the curtain as her music started blasting through the arena!
Entrance theme
Nashi came out bursting out to the scene stopping at the top ramp with her brand-new attire she debuted during her time in the indie circuit with a jacket over it. The attire was a pink and gold two-piece outfit with tassels in front of her cleavage with an open breast window for all to see with boots that have a dragon rising on one leg. To her surprise as she came out to the top ramp, the crowd was ecstatic to see the Idol back in LAW ready to rumple. Naturally Nashi had to capitalize on this enthusiastic response, Nashi twerked her body to the side putting her right arm on her hip while raising her left arm up in the air spreading out her fingers to give a little dazzle on top of it much to the audience approval.

After basking in the audience's attention and praise, Nashi reset her position letting her arms dropped to the side before strutting down to the ring extruding confidence as she dropped her hands to her waist running her fingers along where a championship belt would go to further emphasize what she wants from her re-debut. Once she finally made to the apron, Nashi hoped up onto the apron leaning to the side against the ropes before grabbing onto it with one hand before crossing her legs. The Idol would rock her body back letting her hair flip for dramatic emphasis before breaking formation and standing up with both hands-on middle ropes looking to audience dead in the eye with a gleam of excitement bursting from her. It seemed it was over but for one last surprise in fluid motion Nashi jumped up with her legs slipping between the middle rope before landing onto the inside of the canvas now in the ring doing a couple of bounces to recenter herself as she turned her attention over to her mentor and her upcoming opponent.

Methodically Nashi walked over to Wicke spreading her arms out as a gesture for Wicke to disrobe her of her jacket, if Wicke did it her dragon sleeves on her attire would be on full display much to the audience wolf whistles. To end her routine Nashi would twerk her body to the side to butt bump into Wicke's.

The idol took the mic from her mentor and putting it up to her mouth. "IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK LAW!" Nashi shouted enthusiastically into the mic much to the audience's cheers before turning her head over to her opponent. Taking a second to stare Alizeh up and down and Nashi couldn't lie but Alizeh was most certainly a looker but now had to put some of the mic skills Wicke gave her to good use. "Well Alizeh, long time and no see and I must say you've certainty improvedsince we last met." Nashi said with a wink before continuing. "It's an honor we finally get to face off together in the ring but if any middleweight is going to flirt with my mentor it's me." Nashi added with an assertive tone in her voice as she gave her mentor a quick smack on the cheeks before starring back at Alizeh."However I am a good sport so to know there's no hostility, put her there." Nashi added with a big smile on her face as she stepped forward extending her arm out for a handshake to start off on the right foot with her fellow middleweight.
