Karen Gale vs Serafina Kunisada - Prostyle Match

Not for the first time in this match, Serafina flopped to the mat in a broken heap, utterly stunned by Karen's DDT. Sitting back up, Karen inspected her handiwork. The Mexican ninja was sprawled on her back, looking completely out of it after tanking that DDT. Around them, the crowd was getting antsy, the majority of them quite definitely cheering for Serafina to get back up. Surely, though, after the punishment she had taken, Serafina couldn't get up again, could she?

Karen opted to find out. Crawling over to Serafina, she draped herself across the stunned ninja, her chest compressing against the Mexican's as she hooked one slender leg, covering Serafina for a pinfall. The ref was there in a moment, slapping at the mat as the countdown began.

"ONE..."

It really would not have been a surprise to see this match concluding right here and now, as Karen slowly crawled her way to the stunned Serafina, the Maori's powerful form covering a large part of the more slender girl's own, with her strong, tattooed arm hooking the ninja's punished leg for a pinfall... For a good while now, La Liana Azul had been firmly on the receiving end of the punishment, and the yellow-clad wrestler's DDT was just the latest nail in the coffin that was seemingly being built for the more agile fighter!

With her head now dazed, many doubted whether the blue-clad ninja could be able to kick out with her punished leg at all... But Serafina had also already proven her grit, persistence and endurance many times! Was that still going to save her once more?

"TWO!!"

The ref's count started rather prompt, but it also did appear that there was just this little, subtle delay with the third count, as if the official was double checking that the ninja was for sure no longer able to stay in the game, before letting the Queen's Decree crowd down... And just then, the blue-clad fighter kicked out! Serafina managed to draw enough strength for the effort from the crowd's support one more time, letting the audience erupt in cheers one more time!

But there was still no denying, that the Mexican-Japanese fighter's outlook was inevitably still looking very bleak for the rest of the battle...

And just like that, Serafina kicked out.

Karen sat up, staring down at a the blue-clad ninja with a mixture of surprise and annoyance. She had hoped that it would be lights out after executing that DDT-- and it nearly had been. Serafina's head must have been a lot harder than Karen had given it credit for: either that or the Mexican really was that stubborn. It looked like Karen was simply going to have to try a lot harder to break the nimble ninja.

"Okay," she growled, "come on, get up." And with that, she yanked on Serafina's hair with both hands, pulling her to her feet: unless Serafina did something to stop her, Karen would drive a knee up into her midsection to double her over, before sliding one leg around one of her opponent's, and trapping one of Serafina's arms under her armpit. If all went according to plan, Karen would soon have Serafina trapped and bent sideways in a punishing abdominal stretch, contorting her spine painfully!

Even at her peril, Serafina was nothing if not a servant to the crowds, a role model of a persistent, skilled, an honorable ninja! And all the support she had been receiving from them tonight was equipping her with a sense of duty... Duty to display her utmost best performance, and keep fighting inside the ring to the last bit of strength and endurance left! Admittedly, Karen was being a very powerful opponent, and Sera was starting to realize that she was at a loss with how to manage coping with her... But that was no reason to not kick out if she could!

And she could! Even if Karen apparently couldn't believe it! Maybe that was enough - or at least a little bit towards regaining some strength... And regaining some confidence that she could still turn the tide of this battle?

Unfortunately though, it was soon evident that those were probably delusions at best - most likely, brought on by the devastating DDT. The silver lining of it was that it didn't feel quite as painful as the Maori pulled the ninja up by her hair... Which was as far as it mattered, before the yellow-clad wrestler drove brutally her knee into the blue-clad ninja's midsection! "Uuuggghhh...." It took no time for Serafina to get doubled over, while her body was getting promptly set up for something even more vicious...

Even with all the support from the crowds, it alone wasn't saving Sera from Karen's clutches. And no matter how agile La Liana Azul seemed to be, all of that still wasn't enough to render the New Zealander's abdominal stretch ineffective! Sera could only let out a few desperate cries of pain as she was trapped... Trapped in a hold, that was made extra painful after the knee blow! And everyone got a good display of how strong and powerful the Maori's body looked compared to the more slender ninja's own!

The crowd was roaring for Serafina to escape now as Karen locked in the abdominal stretch, cruelly stretching Serafina sideways in a punishing hold! This close, the contrast between the slender ninja and the more brawny New Zealander was evident, as Karen's muscles bulged as she kept Serafina's own arm and leg tracked, testing La Liana Azul's flexibility to its limits. Around them, the crowd was now starting to clap in unison, urging Serafina to escape. They could clap all they wanted, Karen knew: she was only letting Serafina go when she wanted to.

"Come on, Serafina, you know you can't last much longer!" Karen shouted down at her opponent, bending her further to the side to emphasize the point. "Unless you want me to snap you like a twig, you'd better think about tapping soon!" She would give Serafina a few seconds at that point: if La Liana Azul still didn't tap out at that point, Karen would use her grip on her opponent to lift her cleanly off her feet, before slamming her down again across her outstretched knee in a backbreaker!

This was bittersweet. So bittersweet. And tormentingly painful too... But with the latter caused simply by Karen - as she naturally should have. The bittersweet part arose from the actions of the crowds... How they were, for some strange reason, that Serafina couldn't yet quite comprehend, supporting the blue-clad ninja in unison, chanting her name, and encouraging, even begging for the Mexican-Japanese girl to find her escape! Or, that was the sweet part... The bitter part that complemented it was the fact that Sera was already fully aware, that she wasn't going to find an escape. She was simply trapped. Only thing she could channel the support now was to enduring this hold for as long as she could... And even at that, the immense pain was ominous for her chances for success afterwards in Karen's hands.

Because ultimately, those were the ones she had fallen into now. And Sera knew, that she couldn't last much longer... No matter how much it hurt to admit, the New Zealander was right. Yes, she had to think about tapping soon. Frankly, she had had to think about it from the moment she had been placed in this abdominal stretch... Especially, because it was so tight, that she wouldn't have doubted the possibility of actually getting snapped like a twig in it!

Unfortunately though, it turned out that it wasn't quite what Karen had meant. Suddenly, La Liana Azul could feel her body getting lifted up, before getting her back slammed down against the powerful Maori's extended knee! "GAAAHHHH!!!" The ninja's cry of pain sent out all the air out of her lungs that had still been left there after the tormenting stretch, while the impact of the backbreaker sent her body flopping down onto the mat... Simply reeling there exhausted in a prone position, her limbs spreadeagle. And forced to take in the disappointed, shocked reaction of the crowds... Whose hopes and wishes she had failed to fulfill.
