Rachel's kick hadn't been enough to hurt Kyo. It had, if anything, just been a glancing blow-- although, even as a glancing blow, it had been enough to force Kyo to let go. Admittedly, that annoyed him, as he had been hoping to force Rachel to make a crawl for the ropes. This was going to be a contest of straight endurance: whoever ended up using up all their rope breaks first would be at a bigger disadvantage. Unfortunately, Kyo was realizing more and more that he would have to contend with Rachel's mind games...
In an instant, Rachel was back on her feet, hobbling as she clutched her hurting leg. That didn't seem to impair her too much, though, as a split second later she was charging at him with a running kick. Cursing, Kyo narrowly brought a forearm up in time, narrowly deflecting a kick that would have caught him in the chin...though the impact still sent him backpedalling into the ropes. Rebounding back, he raised an arm, trying to retaliate with a clothesline...

Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs Rachel Kincaid (D)
It seemed that Kyo was ready for her as he managed to bring his arm up to block her knee strike. Either Kyo had really good reflexes or Rachel’s leg was hampering her a bit more than she thought. The most likely explanation was probably a bit of both.
Still, Rachel had put enough force into her attack for the impact to send stumbling into the ropes. Kyo recovered quickly and used the momentum from the rebound to throw a clothesline her way. But Rachel was ready for him. She crouched low to duck the clothesline then turned to drop kick him back towards the ropes.

Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs Rachel Kincaid (D)
Kyo's heart was racing as he rebounded back at Rachel, armed raised for a clothesline to hopefully knock her back down. His gold-clad opponent, however, had speed of her own to call upon: reacting nimbly, she ducked low, evading his clothesline; he stumbled a little as he was nearly unbalanced, and spun to face her...just in time to receive her drop kick to his chest!
"UUUGH!" he grunted, the blow sending him stumbling back into the ropes. For the time being, he was winded, clinging to the ropes to keep from falling over, and open to any follow up attack from Rachel...

Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs Rachel Kincaid (D)
Rachel’s dropkick landed flush with Kyo’s chest. Already unbalanced by his missed clothesline, the impact sent the Japanese man stumbling into the ropes. Rachel quickly hopped to her feet and approached the ropes Kyo was leaning against. She stepped through the ropes to stand on the ring apron. She then grabbed one of his arms, raised it over her head, then repeatedly drove it onto the top rope.

Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs Rachel Kincaid (D)
Kyo was still winded, and still reclining against the ropes, when Rachel came striding after him. She closed the distance quickly, grabbing for one of his arms-- specifically the one he was using to lean on the corner-- before sliding under the ropes. Kyo know what was coming, but tried too late to wrench his arm free: Rachel slammed his arm down on the top rope, again and again, each blow sending sharp pain lancing up his forearm.
Gritting his teeth, Kyo tried to lash out at her with a punch from his free arm, but at this close a distance, Rachel could have easily ducked or dodged...

Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs Rachel Kincaid (D)
Rachel was able to grab her opponent’s arm easily enough. By the time the Japanese man thought to pull his arm free she had already driven his arm onto the top rope several times. Kyo attempted to interrupt her assault on his arm with a punch from his other arm, but Rachel saw it coming a mile away and easily dodged it.
Rachel released Kyo’s arm so she could grab his head instead. She pulled his head down onto the top rope. She would then step through the ropes to reenter the ring. She would attempt to take him down to the mat, climb on top of him while getting his arms in a double underhook, then flipping her body over into a bridge to apply the Cattle Mutilation.

Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs Rachel Kincaid (D)
Kyo's arm was still smarting as he backed away from the ropes; so far Rachel was proving to be a highly intelligent opponent, wearing down Kyo bit by bit, seemingly softening him up for future submission moves. He swung at her with a punch, only for her to easily dodge it: this proved to be a bad move on Kyo's part as Rachel suddenly shifted her grip around his head, briefly forcing his forehead up against her gold-clad chest.
And then, ever so suddenly, he was flipped over and went crashing onto his front. Groaning, he didn't even have time to move before his arms were wrenched backwards in a painful cattle mutilation. His shoulders burned, his arms feeling like they were being wrenched from their sockets; he clenched his teeth, biting back a cry of pain, as around them the crowd started to cheer Rachel on, impressed so far at the ring skills of this gold-clad newcomer...

Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs Rachel Kincaid (D)
Rachel soaked up the cheers she earned upon executing the Cattle Mutilation. Even more satisfying though was the cry of pain from her opponent, which prompted her to crank up the pressure. Ideally she would be able to make him tap with this maneuver, though she didn’t know enough about her opponent to be fully confident that he would do so. At the very least though she could wear him down or even get him to expend one of his rope breaks.

Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs Rachel Kincaid (D)
Kyo's shoulders felt like they were on fire, like the muscles on them were slowly being torn free. Though Rachel couldn't see it, Kyo's face was twisted into a grimace right now: the professional wrestler in him knew that this hold was being applied with incredible expertise-- any more pressure, and Rachel would have ended up dislocating both of his arms, so the fact that she hadn't was incredibly gratifying. That didn't change just how much this hold hurt. It was taking all of his willpower NOT to cry out in pain at this hold.
Instead, teeth clenched and forehead starting to sweat, Kyo dug his knees into the mat and began to swivel his body, trying to extend his legs far enough to hopefully, maybe, snag the bottom rope and secure a break. It would mean sacrificing his first rope break, but so be it...
