Wrestling Information

Strategy:
With her small slender build, Freya relies on speedy strikes with high-flying techniques. She makes excellent use of redirection, using her opponents momentum against them to either take them down to the mat or direct them into a reversal! Although she focuses on strikes, Freya will also utilize the ropes for high flying maneuvers, like splashes or high flying kicks.

Personality:
Freya has a very spunky, pent-up energy sort of air about her, she’s constantly on the move and just doesn’t feel comfortable standing around. She can come off as a bit scatterbrained at times when she spitfires random topics and somehow translates into a whole different topic, but Freya is very methodical. Despite how she appears, Freya can be incredibly calculating, even down to the last calorie for her daily intake. Freya meticulously plans her day to help exercise all that energy!

History/Biography:

Freya was born into a rather moderately lavish family in the beautiful German center of the arts: Dresden. Her Father was the renowned modern baroque musician. He specialized in writing opera for the theatre her Mother ran with her Aunt. Her elder Sister who was twelve at the time was studying to become a painter, focusing on the works of Van Dyke. Living in such a rich culture of Art, Freya experienced much at her young age, but the only thing such a world couldn’t contain, was Freya herself. She was and still is to this day, very hyperactive, unable to sit still for too long and if she had no other choice, her brain would be doing all the “moving”. Diagnosed with Autism at a young age, she was a rather eccentric child with a knack for getting into everything all at the same time. Even when she was young, Freya was a crimson ball of energy. The maids often complained that she was such a Crimson blur, being on one side of the house this moment but then ending up on the other end that moment. Little Freya was always on the move, comparing her to the likes of The Intercity Express that her grandfather happily managed. Despite the rather unusual but positive nickname, her rambunctious and boundless energy made it difficult for the staff to manage or as they would say “contain” her. Unlike her older Sister, Freya didn’t have a knack for the arts as her elder sibling. She was found to have a much more hands-on approach with her schedule leaning mostly into physical activity.

Sports was Freya’s passion, she proved to be quite the stellar athlete even with her small stature. The Crimson Blur was just that in the field; football being her main sport of choice, she always reveled in intense running, the passes, the kicks whether it was for a goal or a pass, even the roughness of players who got in her way. Freya enjoyed it all, she had that outlet she so desperately needed to work off her extra steam. That wasn’t to say she was always so optimistic. Her elder sister made it known to Freya at every opportunity that she wasn’t a true Rosenhurst, an individual of the arts not physical barbarity. Her Elder sister was a prodigy by birthright, her talent with a brush earned her the nickname “Der Goldene Maler” or “The Golden Painter”. Freya couldn’t help but feel inferior whenever they were around, her talent with a brush was sloppy at best and a mess at worst. No matter how Freya tried to explain it, her sister would manage to turn it in her, confirming why she was such a disgrace.

Her mother, tried as she might have, made an effort to meet Freya, personally funding her whims with sports and other physical activities. Despite having no affinity for the arts, Freya had no trouble learning and adapting to new challenges. Her stamina for her size made her a contender for even the bigger individuals around her. Despite all that, Freya was typically on her own through most of her endeavors. Her father wanted nothing to do with someone who couldn’t uphold the Rosenhurst name even if it was sung for a different reason. No matter the awards or the achievements, Freya would never earn her father’s approval nor would her mother always take her side.

At the age seventeen, Freya had landed a scholarship to a University in England, for women’s football. She was excited to show her parents, thinking it would finally show them she had value as a Rosenhurst but the scene she had envisioned that night was crushed and shredded to pieces. Her father was already well aware of her scholarship and had declined it in her name. In its place he had slid a college acceptance letter to a prestigious art university in German, and offered her a choice. Either become a daughter worthy of his name or they do it the hard way. The overwhelming pressure forced her into a panic attack, having just control of her life, the flurry of new information made it hard to stand up for herself. She was given the night to decide and after packing what few items she could into a bag, snuck out her family home to avoid any more confrontations from her controlling family.

Freya knew hardship those first few weeks. Having never worked a job in her life, she could barely hold down a job for more than a couple days before she’d be fired. She was lucky to find a spot in shelters while she tried to find employment and a place to stay. It was after another long night, only two euros to her name as she walked up to a food stall. She offered what she had for a bratwurst, she hadn’t eaten much that day but the vendor would take no less than three. An older woman stepped up behind her, seeing the desperation on Freya’s face bought two for the Crimson Blur. The first proper meal she had, had in weeks thanks to a Good Samaritan who began to prove her. She asked how old she was now, by this time, Freya’s birthday had gone and last; she was now eighteen at the time of their meeting. She explained that she ran away from home, after a choice she had no room to be herself in was being forced on her. The older woman had introduced herself as Andrea, a coach that lived not too far away where she ran a gym as well as taking in a few “strays”. Freya had taken their word seriously and imagined stray animals running about a play gym, much to her surprise it turned out to be an actual fitness gym, with a wrestling ring, and punching bags like she had seen in movies.

Andrea explained to Freya that she took in girls that either had no where to go or family troubles and allowed them to stay there in exchange they would help her out with the gym while they got back on their feet. The Crimson Rose had been staying for a few months now at this point, mainly helping with the cleaning chores where she had befriended three other girls around her same age: Emma, the upbeat but cautious one was twenty, Annaliese the quiet, diligent one was nineteen, and of course Lina, the tough one of the group was twenty-two. She was like the big sister to their little band of misfits and Freya often found herself calling Lina big sister and the other two, sisters in the heat of the moment. It was at the time she also realized what she had wasn’t really a family, that there are good ones out there, this being one of them. It was also here that Freya witnessed wrestling for the first time along with finding her future. The weather had begun to warm by now, spring settling in and the gym was bustling more than usual. Andrea gave lessons when the weather warmed up but she always allowed those who wanted to train to come, so long as she was there in the cold months.

Happy as could be, she sat and watched, taking it all in until she found herself raising her hand to participate. Freya had never had trouble with contact before, her years in football had seen to that, and the moment she (soft) landed a suplex for the lesson, she couldn’t help but feel this was just right for her. While she stayed with Andrea and her small makeshift family, she undertook lessons, slowly building her repertoire and re-establishing herself. For a whole year, she worked hard training and managing to land a part time job to give back to Andrea for all her kindness, coming to see her as a mother figure. Andrea had given Freya her seal of approval, to compete at the ripe age of nineteen. The Crimson Rose had even gone so far as to make a small name for herself in Germany before she began traveling to France and England to partake in their leagues.

During her twentieth birthday, Andrea and the girls had brought up the idea of moving. Her Coach and “mother” slid a form across the table, a once in a lifetime opportunity to one of the biggest leagues in the world: LAW had recruited her. Andrea had secretly filled it out for her, she knew that if she didn’t take this step for little Freya, that she’d never try to go out on her own. Emma, Annaliese, and Lina all chimed in. Despite them working towards other paths in life, they would go with her, to help her adjust, and to keep her company. They felt being all by herself in a foreign country would be too much for Freya and they were right. She didn’t think she could do it but after much convincing from her “family” who actually wanted what was best for her, she relented. With their bags packed, Freya gave Andrea the biggest hug she could muster as her face was a mess with tears, thanking them for everything they had done for her and, promising to come visit when she could; sending the group on their way to the Land of The Rising Sun.

Trivia:
-Freya has low needs autism but most people wouldn’t know that if she didn’t tell them. Most just assume she has an over eccentric aloofness.

-Depite being bad at Art, she still works with clay, her favorite medium.

-Freya owns a small corgi she’s aptly named Gabriel Francis Douglas Rosenhurst. The name just came to her and that’s the only name her corgi responds to, she doesn’t make the rules. The girls and Freya found him shortly after moving in.

-Freya gets overwhelmed and overstimulated riding the train, but she’s managed to cope with her surroundings so long as she keeps her trusty headphones close by or one of her “sisters” comes along.
