A Matter of Honour: Homura Kōgetsu vs Kyo Akamatsu

Post by Underdoggo »

Continued from here

Match Type: Standard prostyle
Victory conditions: Victory by 3-count pinfall, submission or K.O.

In the locker room, Kyo took a deep breath as he finished his stretches. He had been intense matches before, against opponents he knew would be hard to defeat; the Iron person bout against Valerie immediately came to mind. But this was the first time in a long time he was facing off against someone who actively had it out for him, and made no secret that she wanted to destroy him in the ring.

Homura Kōgetsu. He had managed to look her up in the LAW database after their first encounter. Apparently, she was a well-trained pro wrestler known for being skilled, versatile and adaptable. From what the database had to go on, she was a legacy wrestler herself, whose father had once been a pro wrestler as well. And apparently, she was known, in the ring, for having a calm, almost stoic demeanour. In all of these respects, she and Kyo were very much alike.

Where they differed was that, for whatever reason, Homura seemed to have it out for other legacy wrestlers: she had already had one brutal match against Belinda Northman. And now she seemed to be gunning for the Akamatsus-- and specifically Kyo-- next.

The injuries from that day in the dojo had more or less healed by this point. Homura hadn't been out to cripple Kyo, but to send him a message. And that message had very clearly been received: I intend to destroy you.

He took a deep breath, and steadied his thoughts. Homura had a vindictive, cruel streak to her that he had to be ready for. He had no doubt that she would be as heelish in the ring today as she had been in the dojo. He could not abide insults to his family, or to himself; he could abide heels less. He would be ready for Homura today, he told himself. He would win.

His phone, currently sitting on the shelf of his locker, buzzed at that point, showing a single message from Makie:
I'll be in the stands today.
Kick her ass bro. I want to bring some good news to Belinda.
Kyo smiled. Makie had been hurriedly trying to improve her skills for a chance at a rematch with Belinda Northman. Along the way, she and the Swede had ended up becoming friends. When Makie had found out Homura had attacked Kyo, she had flown into a rage, and had been on the verge of rushing off to attack Homura herself, eager to get back at the woman who had hurt her brother and her friend. It had taken a lot of effort on Kyo's part to get Makie to calm down; even so, it was comforting to know his sister would be cheering him on today.

At that point, he heard his theme song start to play. With a final, exhaled breath, he exited the locker room and strode into the arena.

Striding down the ramp, Kyo was met by a chorus of cheers from his fans. As usual, he didn little to acknowledge them, appearing focused more than anything on the ring. The fans noted that Kyo even seemed a little more serious than usual this time around, and they would have been right: as much as he was staying calm, inwardly, he still felt angry about the incident. Angry about being attacked. Angry about being insulted. Tonight, he thought, he would teach Homura Kōgetsu a much-needed lesson.

Sliding under the ropes, Kyo hopped into the ring, and, standing near the center, waited for his opponent to show up...

Fresh off her official victory against Belinda Northman, the bluenette was ready to continue her pursuit in becoming the most feared wrestler at LAW. More importantly, she planned on doing this by defeating and exposing the so-called legacy wrestlers of this organization. She had already shown that she was better than Belinda, now it was time to prove that she could do against Kyo as well. It didn't matter to her if her opponent was male or female, she was going to prove that she was better than them all.

No doubt she had already gotten into the head of her opponent even before their match, with their little interaction in the dojo. Not only did she show off her physical skills against him in the spar but also that she knew where to hurt him mentally if it ever came to that. At the end of their interaction, Kyo was enraged that she would ever bring his sister into this and that was exactly the type of reaction that she was hoping for. He was going to be bringing his best and she was ready for it.

Clad in her blue wrestling one piece and white boots, Homura's expression were as cold as ice. Her determination was unwavering and she only had one thing in mind. To dominate her foe in front of the entire world. Her theme cued and she made her way down the ramp, making her way towards the ring. The crowd showered boos on her given her last match against Belinda and the rumors of her dishonorable actions against Kyo. It didn't matter to her. To her, the sound of the crowd was nothing more than a mosquito annoyingly buzzing around her ear.

Once inside the ring, she placed her hands on her hips and glared at her opponent.

"Akamatsu-san. You are weak and I will prove that very fact after I leave you a broken man in this very ring" she said, her voice full of confidence as she would step up to the middle of the ring. She narrowed her eyes and continued glaring at Kyo, inviting him over to meet her face to face.

Kyo watched with a quiet anger as Homura made her way into the ring. After Homura had ambushed him in the dojo and formally challenged him, Kyo had gone back and watched Homura's match against Belinda Northman. It had been a hard fought battle-- something to be expected with a wrestler of Belinda's caliber-- but Homura had won. Partially thanks to cruel tactics, partially by overpowering her foe, but partially as well, Kyo had to admit, simply by being a skilled wrestler. He would have his work cut out for him tonight.

His fist reflexively clenched. But he would not lose. He would not lose. His family honor was on the line tonight, and he would defend it.

Before long, Homura was standing opposite him, her skintight leotard showing off her tall, powerful body in a way that her gi hadn't. Homura started things off, as expected, with insults. Kyo tried to maintain his usual aloofness, though he couldn't ignore the anger simmering inside of him.

He stepped closer to Homura so they were face to face. "Kogetsu Homura," he replied stiffly, "tonight I will show the audience what you really are: a coward who relies on cheap tactics to win, a pretender who cares nothing for the values or the dignity of this sport. After tonight you will regret insulting my family."

And with that, he would start to circle Homura, eager to get this match started; as the bell rsnf, he would raise his arms, motioning for a lockup, ready for any tricks from his foe.

Ever the confident woman, Homura would show no fear against any opponent. Not even an accomplished wrestler like Kyo. In fact, she had made it a personal mission to expose such wrestlers and this is why she was extremely confident in her abilities. She had trained too long and too hard for this moment, anything other than a victory would be considered as a failure on her part. She was going to crush Kyo and make an example out of him for the others. The bluenette made those feelings known to the man before her, who would soon step up to her in the middle of the ring as the two went face to face for the main money shot for this match.

Homura chuckled while placing her hand on her hip. Her lips curled into a cruel smile while Kyo finished what he had to say. "You are fired up. Good. I will enjoy breaking you" she whispered before finally backing up. The bell rang and the two wrestlers started to circle each other. Homura's eyes were focused on her opponent's movements. When she saw that Kyo would raise his arms as well, she knew what was next.

Homrua was certainly no coward and she would prove that. If he wanted a test, he would get it. Showing no fear or second thoughts, Homura would raise her arms up and lunge towards the male wrestler. She threw herself at him and locked up in a collar and elbow grapple. Her forehead pressed up against his while her breasts mushroomed against his chest. "NRGH" she grunted, pushing into him to see how her strength faired against her opponent's.

This time, there were no tricks, no cheap shots, no deceptive attacks: Homura matched Kyo's intense glare with one of his own, and accepted his lockup straight up without hesitation. One might have been mistaken that this was an act of nobility on Homura's part: Kyo was sure, though, that Homura just wanted to prove her superiority in a simple contest of strength.

And she had strength to back up that claim, as for an initial few seconds, Kyo and Homura were deadlocked in a fierce grapple. Kyo breathed through clenched teet, his eyes meeting Homura's as they were pressed practically forehead to forehead, their arms intertwined, pushing and twisting as they both practically leaned into one another. Trying to ignore the feeling of Homura's chest mashing against his own, Kyo poured all of his strength into trying to force Homura back...and nothing. For a moment, the two of them were deadlocked, evenly matched in the strength department.

He switched tactics, suddenly spinning to the side and twisting at one of Homura's arms. If all went according to plan then he'd soon be standing behind her, his chest against her back, using both hands to twist her arm by the wrist behind her back in a chickenwing hammerlock...

The Japanese woman wanted to make it known to her male counterpart that she was no dastardly heel looking for a cheap win. No, her win would be pure. If she wanted to prove her worth to the wrestling world, than she would have to do it with her skill, talent and strength. Which is why when Kyo offered her a chance to lock up, she went for it head on. No tricks and cheap shots. Both of them were locked in a fierce battle. Homura pushed and pushed, but was unable to bully Kyo to the corner. At the same time, Kyo attempted to do the same thing but Homura was not budging an inch either.

A smirk formed across her lips when she realized that Kyo was giving it his all and yet he could not win this grapple battle. Upon that realization, the Japanese man quickly switched tactic and broke off, grabbing Homura's arm and twisting it while spinning behind her. He began to wrench that captured arm behind Homura's back in a simple chickenwing hammerlock.

"Tch" Homura clicked her tongue, clearly frustrated. "Nasakenai na. Chōsen kara nigeru nante. Omae wa yowai. [How pathetic. Ducking away from the challenge. You are weak.]" Homura would say before raising her leg and quickly kicking it back towards Kyo, aiming a harsh back kick at his shin. If her kick landed, she would quickly free her hand and spin around to face him, looking to catch his head under her armpit and attempt a quick DDT!

For a quick moment, Kyo was behind Homura, twisting the dark-haired beauty's arm behind her back in a classic hammerlock. This was just a transitionary hold, of course: Kyo's next move, unless Homura somehow managed to interrupt him, would be to use his grip on her arm to whip her to the ropes, and then, from there, to nail her with a clothesline, a running chop or a kick to knock her down.

Homura, however, had no intention of letting him do that: sharp pain shot up Kyo's leg as Homura's boot slammed against his shin, causing him to hiss in pain. His grip loosened just enough, in that moment, for Homura to slip free, and a second later, Kyo's head was trapped under Homura's arm, his cheek pressed uncomfortably close to the side of Homura's bust.

"Nnngh--!"

A second later, gravity kicked in, and Kyo's head collided violently with the mat! Stars exploded across his vision as he bounced off the mat and went crumpling onto his side, clutching his forehead, groaning dizzily...

Kyo was quick on his feet, Homura would give him that. However, the fact that he had to disengage from the grapple clearly meant that she had him on the edge. That was a good sign, it meant that Homura could match Kyo in strength and she would certainly keep that in the back of her mind. Right now, she was more focused on trying to escape. She winced in pain, her teeth gritted while she felt the pain in her arm when Kyo wrenched it high above her back. It did not take too long for her to muster a counter attack though, as her boot struck his shin causing him to let go.

Homura turned around and quickly caught his head under her arm before dropping down on her ass and driving his head into the ring canvas for a DDT. The bluenette would then sit up with a stoic expression on her face as she brushed some stray strands of her hair back which were covering her face. "Hmph. Weak" she simply said before grabbing his head and pulling him up to a seated position.

"You are unworthy to even be facing me" she mocked him before attempting to wrap her legs around his waist for a body scissor and began to squeeze as hard as she could. Next, she would lean forward to grab both of his arms and yank them back towards her, stretching them back as much as she could to put pressure on his shoulders while immobilizing them.

"Give up" she said coldly.

Damn, Homura was fast. That was Kyo's initial thought as he lay on the mat and clutched his forehead. Under any normal circumstance, he would have seen that move coming, and would have been reliably able to counter it. The fact that Homura's transition into the DDT was so quick, however, meant that he literally ended up eating a faceful of mat.

He remembered how skilled she was in their kendo duel. Just how fast were this woman's reflexes?

He didn't have much time to ruminate on this, though, as suddenly he was yanked up into a sitting position, and Homura's shapely legs were clamping around his waist! He clenched his teeth as the powerful limbs closed around him in a brutal vice grip; instinctively, he grabbed for Homura's boots to try to pry them loose, before training took over and instead he tried to dig his elbow into one of Homura's thighs.

Homura quickly put a stop to that, grabbing and trapping his arms. "NNNnngh...foolishness...trying to make your opponent tap...so early in the match!" he hissed back at Homura, though he had to admit Homura had him good. Not for the first time, he found himself stunned at the fast, relentless skill of this woman. Still, he was not without his own tricks: pressing his boots into the mat, he arched up and backwards, trying to force Homura'a back and shoulders against the mat and get her in a pinning situation!

Showing off her impressive technique and speed, Homura managed to plant Kyo's head to the canvas in a DDT. The slam left the Japanese man stunned, allowing her to easily grab him and shift him up onto a seated position in front of her. After taunting him some more, she would get down behind him and quickly wrap her smooth yet strong thighs around his mid-section, squeezing as hard as she could. "Nrgh" she grimaced slightly when his elbows dug into her thighs but soon she leaned forward to grab both of his arms and pull them back, stretching them as much as she could while even twisting his wrists to put even more pain.

Kyo would mention that it was foolish to even ask him that question, but Homura only smirked. It wasn't that she genuinely thought she could get a submission so early, but more the fact that she would get into Kyo's head and play the mental game. The more she trapped him in submissions and kept asking him this, the more his spirit would break. However, Kyo was a stubborn man and would smartly press his boot against the mats to push backwards, forcing Homura down on her back with him half on top of her, pinning her shoulders to the mat.

"One...." the referee counted.

"Clever....but futile" she said, quickly letting go of both of his arms and instead, wrapping her arm around his neck that was now much closer to her. She would roll them over to their sides, now squeezing his body and neck in a body scissor and sleeperhold!
