Katsumi lets out a pained little cry as she's manhandled up out of her curled position, her head jammed between Ryuko's thighs. This is it. She knows it. She can't do anything to stop it. She's swung into the air, and her arms scrabble at the brunette's head. In short order, she's swung down to the mat. There's a shrill scream, and it's cut short when her back plants against the canvas.

Katsumi would've sprawled limply if she were allowed. Instead, she's folded up. Eyes shut, arms spread to either side with palms turned up at the ceiling, the Punk Princess seems squarely pinned. There's the first count. The second. And-

"THREE!"

The referee-girl flails an arm in the air to signal the bell! This match is over, and once again, the Thunder Empress, Ryuko, is the night's victor!

*DING* *DING* *DING*

As for Katsumi? The young upstart lies helpless, still bundled for as long as Ryuko intends to keep her there. When the pressure is relieved, Katsumi will simply unfold to lie flat on her back, splayed out with her bare stomach rising and sinking heavily with each breath.

Ryuko heard the bell, smiling as she rolled off Katsumi and laid on her own back, staring up at the lights. Order was restored, or so Ryuko thought. Costume was a far tougher opponent than Ryuko ever expected by the look of her. Shame on Ryuko for going to appearances, that was a dumb mistake that nearly cost her. Ryuko looked over at Katsumi before sitting up, huffing for breath. "You don't look it, but you have the spirit of a wrestler. I shouldn't have been so surprised by a homegrown lady such as yourself." Ryuko said before staggering to her feet, holding her fists high in victory. Some of the crowd cheered, a few people booed as they truly wanted to see Katsumi walk away with the victory instead of the thunder empress.

Ryuko didn't linger in the ring long, as cheering up defeated foes wasn't her style. She climbed through the ropes and landed on the ground, beginning her walk back up the ramp towards the locker room.

Every passing second feels like another pound of weight added to her heart. Katsumi hates losing. But losing here and now, that's a blow to morale. She really wanted this; not just for her career, but for herself, personally. Defeating Ryuko - a benchmark for her life. Having the ability to say she's better than the Thunder Empress, and maybe getting her to see her as something other than... well, what she must see her as now, having defeated her. The things she'd said earlier just dig into her more now that her opportunity to prove her wrong has passed.

Katsumi's arms raise, then flop her hands over her face. Go away, world.

Ryuko's voice cuts through the audience's cheer. Katsumi's hands slip from her eyes to her cheeks enough to peek up blearily through the light at her opponent's face. She stares up at her blankly, for once having no words. A part of her wants to be grateful. A part of her wants to be snarky. Between the two, Katsumi is just silent even after Ryuko has moved on.

The referee-girl moves in to check on her, and Katsumi finds strength enough to shove her away. She turns over onto her front, and after another beat, lifts onto her hands and knees. She begins crawling for the ropes, Ryuko having a solid lead on her exit. No, she won't be catching up to her. She doesn't know what she'd say or do even if she did, though.

Slipping beneath the bottom rope, Katsumi drops to her boots. One arm loops her midsection, still quite sore and aching, and she begins staggering her way back up the ramp, head down.

Winner by pinfall: Thunder Ryuko
