Each bout in Bandita's very brief history in the LAW has been a tough, very fast-paced competition against some styles that are quite different from what she's used to on the other side of the world. But what's been surprising to her the most is that neither of them were Japanese! Both spoke English, and thankfully, she speaks English, too! And that made the matches a little easier to navigate - at least on a social scale. Never before had Bandita considered how awkward it would be to get in a wrestling match with someone she couldn't talk to.
Sure, you shouldn't usually be yapping in a match. You should be wrestling. And the language of grappling is universal!
...But still. Bandita enjoys banter. She likes getting a feel for who she's tangling with. And both opponents she's faced have been absolutely beautiful, wonderful people. And now, here we are. Her third match. And it's a first for two things.
Elena Miyazawa. A Japanese girl. And, she's a teenager, like her.
That's very exciting. She'd yet to meet someone else her age since coming to Japan! Oh, but will her Japanese be good enough to talk to her?
Upon learning of her opponent, she did what she could to learn about her. They're pretty much the same size as each other. Very similar builds. Oh! She's an idol! That's what they call pop-stars around here! So glamorous!
Needless to say, Bandita is bobbing eagerly on her feet backstage as the arena falls dark and the audience quietens down in anticipation for the next match.
The screens come to life with a fiery motif, brilliantly scorched words scrolling across the display reading:
VIVA
BANDITA
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall!," begins the announcer.
The audience has gotten to know the rogue by now, and they're already cheering with enthusiasm by the time she steps out onto the stage. The spotlights converge over her, but the bolero hat casts a dramatic shadow over her face - right until she tips her face up to reveal a bright, eager smile and brilliant hazel-green eyes.
"Making her way to the ring! At a height of 5'6", and weighing in at 117 lbs.!"
"From Cancún, México!"
"La Bonita Bandolera~!"
"BAAANDIIIITAAAA!"
With a spinning flourish, she enters an energetic samba with her music; and the whip in her right hand unfurls, SNAPping out into the air. Her body twists with sinuous ease and fluidity, the whip becoming her dance partner as it swirls and SNAPs artfully out in a seamless display of control and skill. All while flaming pyros burst around her.
SNAP! SNAP! SNAP!
At last, with a careful flick of the wrist, she guides the length of whip back into a loose coil in her hand. Then she takes off at a sprint, one hand raised to slap a train of high-fives on her way to the commentator's table. The whip is laid out neatly, with her hat joining atop the pile. Bandita hurries along to complete her lap around the ring, before coming to a sharp halt between the ramp and apron.
She grabs onto the middle rope and stretches it low in a crouch before springing up to land her boots on the ring's edge. Then a swap to gripping the top rope, and Bandita vaults up and over, landing on the mat and immediately springing into a single handless cartwheel to land in the center!
She stands with a wide, powerful stance, confident smile on her face, and right arm raised with a finger pointing up to the sky! And that's where she holds the pose for several seconds, chest rising and falling heavily against her foux-corset top with each breath. It's exhilarating. Never does she feel more alive than in these moments!
The arm lowers and she turns to her designated corner. She heads over, loosening the sash of her skirt to begin removing it while waiting for her opponent's entrance...
