Wrestle Angels Showdown: Chris Morgan Vs. Thunder Ryuko

Chris was bigger and stronger than Ryuko but it didn't mean that Ryuko could not lift her in return. The thunder empress grabbed onto Chris and leaned in, wrapping her arms around Chris' waist from the front.

Ryuko grit her teeth and tensed up trying to lift Chris for a northern lights suplex to plant her to the mat! Ryuko knew she could not let up or give Chris any reprieve if she wanted to win.

Winded and disoriented from the flying tackle that took the Phenom off of her booted feet, Chris was unpleasantly reminded of the reason behind Ryuko's thunderous nickname after having taken what felt like a lightning bolt of a strike from out of nowhere. The disconcerting sensation of Ryuko arms coiled around her signaled to Chris about the impending suplex which rattled the ring afterward. "NGH!!" Chris grimaced with her back flattened against the canvas before swiveling onto her front side, one hand grasping her lower spine as she attempted a lethargic rise if uninterrupted.

Ryuko smiled a little to herself. Sending Chris to the mat felt good. Real good. She wanted to do it again, and as she got to her feet she grabbed hold of Chris by the arm and hair yanking her hard up to her feet again. Ryuko was going to try to pick Chris up and hold her before stepping forward to drop the bigger woman across her knee for a backbreaker hoping to keep taking it to the big blonde! She was a woman Ryuko felt she had never fully measured up to, and a woman she felt very compelled to prove herself against here in LAW!

Taken aback from the resurgent resilience of her former co-worker, Chris arose with the bitter remembrance of how a match’s direction can be reversed on a dime with only one deft counter. The Phenom soothing the small of her spine when she'd be ushered upward by Ryuko's yanking arms, except once held tightly by her adversary, Chris would clobber the side of Ryuko's head with elbow strikes until she'd loosen her grip. Attempting to reclaim control of the match, Chris would snatch one arm around her foe's head and seemingly attempt a stalled vertical suplex but with The Phenom instead aiming to send her foe into a front forward Gourdbuster instead...

To say that things didn't go according to plan was an understatement. Ryuko moved in to grab Chris but instead had her head rocked by hard elbow shots leaving the Thunder Empress momentarily stunned. That was all the opening her opponent needed. Ryuko was grabbed and lift up, held on display a terrifying moment before being sent crashing down hard to the mat! Ryuko bounced and groaned in pain, rubbing at her back while she shook her head. This was bad and her body had already taken a tremendous beating so far.

Making things worse was that Chris seemed to be far more easily withstanding the punishment Ryuko did to her as opposed to Ryuko struggling to recover when Chris landed offense.

"Phew, so much for introductions I suppose..." Chris muttered out with gloved hands situated on her fulsome hips after taking a fatigued breath, being reminded firsthand of how downright ferocious a competitor Ryuko apparently still is with those thunderous suplexes of hers. Fearless in her approach and confident in her abilities, but sometimes overzealous to the point she underestimates her opponent. Considering that flinging Ryuko to the ropes and hiking up the match tempo was the impetus behind her adversary's resurgence, The Phenom opted to take matters back down to the canvas with basic fundamentals. Ryuko's spine being the unfortunate cushion for Chris' plump backside as the veteran now attempted a torqued back double leg Boston Crab submission.

Ryuko was down and she groaned as Chris landed down on top of her. Ryuko shook her head trying to break free when Chris grabbed both legs and pulled placing Ryuko in a Boston crab! This was bad as Chris was much larger and the pull of the hold was felt immediately! "AAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!"

Ryuko shouted as she shook her head and grit her teeth, the pain mounting quickly. Ryuko let out another cry of agony as she began to claw her way at the mat, trying to pull the two of them closer to the ropes. It was all she had with her anger and pain fueling her as she tried to best to get closer to those ropes!

"Still the same scrappy fighter, I see..." Chris commented over her shoulder towards Ryuko making a concerted headway with crawling in the direction of the bottom ropes, impressed by Ryu's tenacious resilience. The Phenom contorting her thunderous adversary's spine beneath her powerful figure before abruptly abandoning the hold to begin dragging her former colleague back to the middle of the ring. Except rather than reapply the submission, Chris opted to yank her foe back up to her by tugging on her arms. One deft ascension planned for Ryuko who'd end up hoisted skyward with Chris' hands situated on her neck and inner thighs, a showcase of strength by the flaxen powerhouse for several seconds before attempting to conclude with a Gorilla Press Slam into the canvas.

Ryuko groaned as she was let go then grabbed and lift up. To say that she was struggling right now was an understatement. Ryuko was unable to stop herself from being lift up and while she was held she tried to wriggle free. She flailed her arms, kicked her legs and shook her head trying to escape. This match had not been going well and if this connected she was in trouble!

Ryuko struggled and strained but it was no use. She howled as she crashed down to the mat with a loud crash rolling to her back and meekly kicking in pain as Chris was in total control of the Thunder Empress.
