Raya Ashberry vs "the Punk Princess" Katsumi Oshiro

“I-I don’t wanna hear it!” Raya whined as she felt Katsumi’s palm press against her heaving stomach. Then, when her opponent climbed up to stand over her, Raya would tilt her head away from those hips that seemed to be a little too close for comfort, her teeth gritting angrily as she knew she couldn’t do anything but take it for now.

“Aggh, damn it!” Raya cried out when Katsumi grabbed her hair again and pulled her head back, forcing her to look straight up at the woman who was towering over her.

Then the worst part came, as Katsumi started showering Raya with blows to the temple, saying something that Raya couldn’t quite catch as she was too busy taking the brunt of each punch, and at the end of it Raya would be left in a daze, her vision blurry as she groaned helplessly, all she could do was instinctively try to push Katsumi down now that she was standing on the ropes and hope to get her off. If this desperate maneuver worked, she’d then charge at the woman and try to bring her down with a clothesline with her arm extended, aiming at her chest.

What more could Katsumi ask for in this situation? She has everything she could ever want right now; standing tall above her opponent, raining blows against her, talking her ish, the audience chanting along with each consecutive strike, and the referee uselessly complaining. This could be a dream for her.

Alas, all dreams come to an end. And standing perched upon two ropes might be impressive, it's also not the most balanced position to be in. So when she realizes Raya's worked her arms free and feels the hands against her thighs, she knows it's time to come back to reality. The shove works. Katsumi drops back to the mat, curling her body up to land in a backwards roll, absorbing most of the impact in favor of ending on her feet a short distance away.

Raya rushes in, and Katsumi throws herself into a forward roll this time, clearing the wide swing up above to end up standing behind her. The Punk Princess checks sharply over her shoulder for the moment Raya turns around, and spins to meet her with one leg cocked high as if to deliver a roundhouse. But at the last moment, the knee tilts and the shin snaps forward, delivering the Heartbreaker, a powerful question mark kick aimed high enough to collide against Raya's head.

As she successfully managed to push Katsumi off, Raya would quickly charge at her in an attempt to get her in a clothesline, only for her opponent to nimbly dodge under her hit by rolling forward, and the moment Raya turned around to face her and go for another move, she’d get hit and stunned by a powerful kick delivered straight at her head.

The moment Katsumi’s leg made contact with her head, Raya would fall back and hit the mat, laid out straight on her back, her vision blurry. She’d groan weakly, trying to get a bearing of her surroundings, her stomach heaving up and down as she tried to catch her breath. The kick had drained the already weakened energy out of her and now she was struggling to come to, her entire body had stiffened up and she could barely move, and was now at the mercy of Katsumi’s whims!

The kick impacts with a resounding *THUD*. The feel of a skull connecting with her boot always gives Katsumi the most sardonic sense of pride. She'd spent years perfecting that kick. And now, she has supreme levels of confidence in landing it, and the force behind it. So accustomed to her signature is she, that the strike resolves in a spinning appeal before her foot plants again, facing forward.

Her hands raise together in a cutesie -shape with a wink, tilt of the hips, and cocky smile. Cameras predictably flash.

The match isn't over yet. Not until Raya's been pinned down or submits to her. For as fun as it is hitting that pose and sealing the taunting nature of the Heartbreaker signature, she moves on quickly by throwing herself over her supine opponent. She lies across her body, hooking her arm around the outside thigh to pull her leg into the air and to the side, and her other arm plants its elbow against the mat as an anchor. She presses her toned stomach tight across Raya's abdominals tightly.

"Count it!," she shouts to the referee.

She can't be sure the other woman will stay out for the full three. But three seconds is all she needs. And with Raya's leg hooked snugly into her arm and feeling Raya's bare stomach beneath her own, every breath pressing them tighter rhythmically, there's a chance she has her down.

Raya was still dazed, but she felt Katsumi’s stomach make contact against her own, pressing into her abs and squishing them under her opponent’s body. She couldn’t resist as Katsumi also hooked her leg and pulled it upwards while shouting to the ref to count it.

“One!” The referee started counting, and at that moment, as Raya heard that shout as well as the hand slapping against the mat, she just managed to recover and realize that she was about to get pinned.

“Two!” The ref continued, she was now a mere moment away from losing the match in total humiliation, but she managed to muster up every inch of power she had left in her body and just barely kick out right as the ref was about to signal her defeat.

Still, this didn’t mean she was off the hook. She was still utterly exhausted, her limbs on fire and her head slightly spinning from that powerful kick she had just taken, but at least she remained alive and still had a chance to turn things around in her favour.

Each slap of the referee's hand against the mat sees a confident nod from the Punk Princess. With her hair fanned out against her back and her body arched firmly across Raya's midsection, she pulls the leg a little higher. Just to emphasize the pin. And when the hand raises to strike the mat a third time, the anticipation builds.

Is this it?

Is Raya out?

It comes down-- and she feels the leg buck free of her grasp! Raya's shoulder pops from the mat with the ripple of energy, and Katsumi is jostled. Still lying across the other woman's stomach, but now with the arm simply resting between her legs, her head tilts to shoot the other woman a dirty look.

"Decided to go out without dignity, huh?," she chides.

It's slightly poignant. Katsumi had decided long ago that if she had to lose a match, she'd prefer it being pinned. Not tapping out. Tapping out means the pain became too much. Being pinned means she gave it her all. At least, in her mind!

She lifts herself off of Raya's figure and moves her hands to her shoulder and hip to shove her over onto her chest. Then she swings her leg over, first mounting Raya's rear before sliding herself into the saddle of her lower back. Reaching down, the hooks the woman's arms to pull them back, anchoring both of them over her upturned knees. Then the gloved hands come together beneath Raya's chin, first to tilt her face towards the audience - then to begin pulling her upper-body into a tight arch between her legs, stretching her in a classic camel clutch.

The referee-girl drops beside the pair again, eyes wide. "Do you submit!?"

"No, she doesn't!," Katsumi shouts. "Not yet! Isn't that right!?"

After kicking out, Raya thought she would have a moment of breather to collect herself, but she suddenly found herself shoved onto her chest as Katsumi taunted her.

“I-I’m not going out…anytime soon!” She responded, but her words didn’t have as much ferocity to them as Katsumi’s did since the other woman was now in complete control.

Then, Katsumi placed her in a camel clutch and she screamed out in pain as the referee dropped beside them and asked Raya if she would submit, to which Katsumi would again interject with some more words of her own.

Raya hesitated to answer, the pain was excruciating and she wasn’t one to have a high tolerance. She almost said “yes’ right then and there, but thought better of it, thinking of the humiliation and how much Katsumi would mock her if she did. She tried to power her way out of it but her legs had no power, they were almost completely dead, she had almost no energy left.

Raya was running out of time, the more she waited the more painful the hold became. If she stayed like this, all she’d be doing is hand this victory to Katsumi on a silver platter. She mustered up everything she had left and would once again start struggling, if she lost then at least she’d go out without giving up. She’d press her legs against the canvas as hard as she could, using the momentum to push herself up and try to shove Katsumi off her in a desperate maneuver.
