Daniel Haines vs Gloria Star — Standard Match (No Submissions)

Gloria was just as shocked as Danny was at this point. In truth Gloria found herself barely able to move a muscle, it felt as if she done everything, she could've possibly done and yet it still wasn't enough. Every inch of her body was an aching mess, her shoulders were stiff feeling like weights holding her neck down, her arms and legs were sore having bruises marked all over, and her back felt as if it was on fire from constantly being slammed as her sides felt deflated from the air that was sucked out of her. Truthfully in that moment Gloria laid there thinking this was the end, she worked for years to improve but still came up short in the end as she heard the referee begin to count her out for a pinfall. "No....Not....Yet...." Gloria muttered in exhausted pants of air as this was her last chance to kick out or else she'll lose! Using everything, she had Gloria went to thrust her leg out for a kick out and it worked!!! Everyone gasped as Gloria's leg finally came down hard on the canvas as she panted out of exhaustion.

Gloria just barely escaped defeat but wasn't out of the woods just yet. As Gloria continued to lay down trying to gather up enough strength, she felt something pulling at her arm and instantly she knew what it meant as she opened her eyes, there was Danny tugging at her. "Get off!!!!" Gloria yelled out exhaustedly trying to flail her arm around to shake Daniel off of it but to no avail as she let out winces and grunts of pain as she stood up bent forward at Daniel's will. "I just.... need... the right... opening..." Gloria muttered letting out deep pants of air as the sweating superhero kept her eyes open trying so desperately for find the opening, she needed to turn the tables one last time as her eyes shot up with an idea. "If I elbow Daniel, I could stun him to try and do a slam, it may not be much but it's all- AAAAAAAAHH!!!" Right before Gloria could finish her train of thought her body was yanked back by Daniel before being shot forward like a rocket to the other side of the ring for a set up lariat!!!! Gloria tried to slow herself down trying to plant her feet against the canvas but to no avail as her body collied with the ropes rebounding her off to go straight towards cousin. As Gloria turned back around and saw Daniel, her perception of the world began slow down as if she were frozen in time. "This is not how it ends! I've trained my life for this big day! If I lose now, everything I've gone through would've been for nothing!!!" Gloria noted to herself dreadfully fearing that everything she did was for nothing as she continue to make her way to her cousin. "Wait a second...." Gloria exclaimed as she looked down and noticed something. "Daniel has his lower body wide open, If I can spear him, perhaps.... it will be enough to stun him..." Gloria noted as she kept her eyes dead focused on her cousin's lower body finding an opening. "If this doesn't work, then it's over, so I have to do succeed no matter what!!!" Gloria exclaimed as now she had a way to counter Daniel even if it was a long shot given the fragile state her body was currently in, but a plan like this was better than not having a plan at all. The superhero took a deep long breath before time started to move back normally for her; she gritted her teeth as she tried to press her heel on the mat to propel herself forward with a spear straight to Daniel's stomach as a last-ditch attack!

Danny wasn't expecting a counter attack at all. He ran in going for broke when Gloria sprang into action. His eyes widened in horror as he knew what was happening but didn't have the time to stop it. Her spear smashed into him and she took the big man down hard to the mat. He crashed painfully to the canvas and gasped for breath having the wind knocked right out of him. He was down. He looked like he was out. He shook his head in shock and a bit of despair as he seemed to know his final gamble to get ahead in this match utterly failed him.

Gloria was on her last legs at this point, her body was running on fumes, every part of it was covered in sweat leaving her only able to fight back in short bursts of strength. It reached it's boiling point when Danny went in a last-ditch lariat, it was due or die time for the breathless superhero as if she didn't counter it would all be over for her. She had to act quickly but had to wait for just the right moment or else Danny may counter her attack but when the stars aligned just right, it was time for Gloria to make her last gamble... "ARAAAAAAAAH!!!!!" She bellowed out a battle cry as she charged at her cousin jumping off the back of her heels to plunge herself forward at him taking him down with a spear landing right on top of him!

BOOM!
The thud was heard as Gloria had her head laying down on Danny's chest trying to catch her breath as she pulled her head up slightly to see what became of her dear cousin. "Thank.... you...." She muttered having to pause between words as her body was heaving in and out faster with each pant. By all accounts Gloria could pin Danny here and now and probably win. but that was just it... probably. Danny proved to Gloria that despite being a regular old trainer, he has the skills to accomplish what she and their aunt have accomplished in the ring and build a legacy for his own without having to rely on the Sanders or Haines name to get by. "You put up one hell of a fight.... but... I have to end this...." She added on pausing between her words to take a breathe as she sluggishly pressed her hands on Daniel's chest trying to push herself up as she would follow by reaching down to pull Daniel up with her. "Lets try this... AGAIN!!!" She forced a loud shout from her throat trying to excite the crowd one last time as she began to set up for her finisher. Even with her arms slack and drained of almost all of their strength, Gloria had to use whatever she had left even if it was only seconds of it for this move. The blonde began to wrap her arms around Danny's stomach aiming to pull him off the ground gritting her teeth and exerting whatever she had left of her arms to a point some parts of her outfit began to tear up on it's own as she placed Danny ontop of her shoulders.

The crowd was in awe of the superheroes strength but really what she was showing was all she had left, after this she would be out so she had to make this count. Taking in a deep breath Gloria shot her eyes up into the sky and began to shout one final phrase. "STAR CRASH..... TO THE EARTH!!!!!!!!!!" Gloria belted out from her vocal chords as she went to drop Daniel down to the mat in one last feat of strength for her ultimate finisher!

Danny was down and unable to defend himself at this point. The surprise spear smashed into him, driving the air out of him. He was dead weight and lift up by Gloria before crashing down hard to the mat.

Danny's body was limp and motionless after the impact with him barely conscious enough to realize that he had blown his biggest match in LAW.

Gloria was held Daniel up in the air for as long as she could possibly could as everyone was watching on the edge of their seats biting their lips as they all knew what was about to happen. Gloria had been overexerting every last bit of strength she had in her muscles to even hold Daniel given how he weighed much more than she did was enough to leave the crowd in shock and awe from this display. At the same time Gloria's body had taken it's tole on her after all that has happened her body was fatigue, barley holding on as with every time she exerted more strength from her muscles, she could hear her sleeves ripping open but that didn't matter not when she was so close. After a moment of straining Gloria finally did it, she raised Daniel to a high enough position to slam him from as she let out one final battle cry before sending him crashing into the canvas!!!!

BOOM

As Gloria sent Daniel crashing to the canvas a loud thud could be heard as the ring itself rumbled a bit from the impact shaking beneath them. As the dust cleared there Gloria was, sitting in front of a limped and defeated Daniel but Gloria wasn't out of the woods just yet. She sat there with her body leaning over letting out haggard breathes as now all the strength from her body had been completely drained from her. "I..just...got...to...lay...on..top...of...him..." Gloria panted to herself wincing with every breath she took as leaned over just enough for her body to fall right on top of Daniel to try and lift his leg just enough to pin him. "Count!" Gloria let out gritting her teeth breathless as she held on as weakly as she could to Daniel's leg for the pin hoping this will finally work.

Danny crashed to the mat and barely knew where he was. When Gloria pinned him the count was academic at this point. He had nothing left and wasn't even fully aware of what was going on. It would only be later on that it would all sink in that his time in LAW to get a PPV match was all for a loss and a move right back down the ladder for more grinding to maybe be here again.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

"THREE!"

The bell rang and it barely registered with him. Nothing was fully sinking in just yet but as his body flopped back and he laid there looking up at the lights he knew he blew it and he would be leaving the ring in defeat when he was able to move. For now he laid there before slowly rolling over to the ropes. Once it all hit him he just wanted to slink away and let Gloria have her spotlight.

Gloria laid on top of Danny flat as a pancake huffing and puffing just praying to herself that after a war between the two family members was over. She done everything she could've done against her cousin, if she failed to pin him here than at least, she put on one hell of a match for all to see, especially for being both competitors first PPV's. The exhausted blonde lung to Danny like her life depended on it as she listened to the counts from the referee. ONE... TWO.... The ref shouted as she smacked the mat with Gloria starring at her the entire time hanging on to every count that came from the ref as victory was finally within her grasp.

THREE!!!! DING DING DING!!!

There it was. The sound and words that Sophia had been waiting her entire life to hear had finally come true! The blonde weakly rolled off her cousin sitting on her knees heaving her body in and out trying to catch her breath as she tried to relax her body as Sophia couldn't believe what just happened. Sophia had her eyes on the floor soaking in all the cheers and applause from the audience on her winning her first ever PPV match at LAW! "I....did...It...I...finally... won...against...him...." Sophi muttered softly as tears of joy began to form in her pupils before she leaned her back starring up at the sky."YES!!!!!" Sophia belted out letting out a roar of victory as a proud smile began to form across her face.

"HERE IS YOU'RE WINNER...... GLORIA STAR!!!!!!!!"
The referee kneeled over putting out her hand. "Ms. Gloria or Star do you need help getting back up? Do you need a hand with standing up?" The ref offered out her hand as Gloria turned to face her beginning to chuckle. "Of course, but you may need a couple of extra hands." Gloria teased as she took the ref's hand and began to slowly be pulled up to her feet wincing and groaning as her body was still in bad shape from everything. Sophia rested a hand on her ribcage that was burning with pain before raising both arms in the air to the praise of the audience! Gloria smiled and brushed away her tears before leaning her body down a bit to recover. The ringside assistant came in to give Gloria a microphone with her accepting it kindly as she pressed it up to her lips. "I'll try and make this quick, after a match like that I need a checkup from the doctor." Gloria started her speech with a joke beginning to laugh before doubling over a bit coughing from the pain in her body. "Don't worry I'm fine, just a bit brushed is all." Gloria added extending one arm out to try and calm down the crowd before pushing herself back to a straight position even if her body ached from it. "I want to say thank you to all who came here tonight and watched me preform. This was my first PPV match in LAW and to get a big win like this in front of you means the world to me." Gloria smirked as her eyes circled around the arena pasting by her parents. "Also I won't name names or point to them, after all I have a secret identity to keep but thank you mom and dad for coming to see you're little girl who was a wide eye dreamer finally get her chance to prove herself in the biggest wrestling company known to mankind!" Gloria added on starting off giggling about her superhero gimmick while speaking softly before having to hold back her tears of accomplishment and speaker louder prouder about what her achieved. Then in the corner of her eye she saw Daniel, the man she could never beat as a kid now walking away in shame from his defeat her hands. Gloria let out a soft gasp as she gripped the microphone even more. She finally won and defeated him but she could tell the blow that went to his pride upon being defeated, it was the same pride that was crushed for her everytime she lost to him growing up. "Danny..." She muttered quietly into the microphone as she had to do something before he left the arena. Her body began to move forward on it's own, even with the bruises she had to make things right. "DANIEL COME BACK!" Gloria shouted desperately into the microphone as she placed her hand on the top rope leaning her body over to reach out to her cousin hoping he would hear. The audience began to murmured confused by what just happened as Gloria began to freeze hearing it. "Oh crap, if I don't say the right thing now my idenity will be blown." Gloria gulped thinking to herself trying to think of an idea of how to spin this around before a lightbulb went off. " I GOT IT!" The blonde leaned back of the ropes fixing her posture and taking a moment to clear her throat. "Sorry about that audience I just didn't want my opponent to leave before I got to speak to him as well." Gloria said proudly into the mic as the crowd began to nod an agreement no longer having suspicions about her real reasoning for wanting Daniel to say. "Phew, my identity is still protected.' Gloria wiped the sweat off her brow. "Daniel please came back into the ring, I have some words for you if you don't mind. After all even though we duked it out like gladiators this match wouldn't be nearly as good if it wasn't for you putting you're all into it!" Gloria grinned pointing directly at Daniel trying to hype up her own cousin as fans began to cheer and clap wanting him to come back to the ring rather than hide in defeat.

Danny was lucky he was conscious and knew where he was as he hobbled away, his whole body throbbing with pain. Right now he just wanted to get back to change, be with Irelia and check out Europe. He didn't want to be seen right now at all so when he heard his name being called her let out a sigh and looked back. He had no desire at all to be out here any longer.

Still he did his absolute best not to look completely disappointed in the outcome, turning around to go back to the ring. He was moving as quickly as he could but this was still a slow pace. He was so banged up that there was no sliding in the ring or anything fancy. He walked up the ring steps, each one making him ache that much more as he climbed through the ropes to stand there looking over at Gloria. He was curious what she had to say and he was doing his best to humor her even though right now he wanted to be literally anywhere other than the exact spot he was standing.
