A Breathless Showstopper: Edith Una Vs. Reina Izara

Bathed within a golden spotlight in the center of the ring, even Reina's stone faced expression couldnt help but crack into a smile as she stared at the stage. Edith Una, The Hidden Gem, The Professional herself was scheduled to be her opponent once again.

"It looks like the conqueror is stirrin' tonight!" Drawled Jane, watching Reina pace in the ring.

"I mean wouldn't you be, Jill? I'd be the same way if I got a chance to even the score!" Jane replied.

"You might right about that, but from the looks of things, getting revenge ain't the only thing on Reina's mind. With a smile like that you wouldn't thought she lost her last match." She said. "But maybe this time, in a match more her style, maybe the conqueror will be the one leaving The Hidden Gem lookin' at the lights."

On any other occasion, Reina would've been livid at being booked in another smother match. Of all the matches she could do, of all the ways sne could wrestle, and yet management seemed adamant on putting her in these night after night. And if it wasn't for who she was facing, she had half a mind to refuse it outright. But as she looked at who she was scheduled to facd, Reina couldn't help but be intrigued about how Edith would respond. Even in their last match, an accidental lewd action made the Gem as red as a ruby, she can hardly picture how Edith would be in a full on smother match like this.

But if there was one thing the conqueror knew, she knew Edith Una would certainly not disappoint her.

The familiar, funky bassline slithered through the arena, a stark contrast to the tension that had crackled in the air moments before. The spotlight swiveled from the ring to the stage as the music hit its first pause. There, back to the audience, stood a figure in a sharp, plum-colored suit. As the groove kicked back in, she spun, one hand adjusting her tie, the other thrown out in a pose that was all cool, collected elegance.

"From the renowned Matire Hotel, the hidden gem herself, presenting EDITH UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Edith Una glided down the ramp, her expression a professional calm. But to those who knew her—and Reina certainly did—there was a tightness in her jaw, a simmering in her dark eyes that betrayed a flicker of annoyance beneath the polished surface. The cheers washed over her, but she didn’t seem to absorb them, her focus a laser beam fixed on the smirking woman waiting in the ring. She performed her usual ritual with clipped precision: wiping her feet on the apron, sliding between the ropes, a curt bow to the crowd. But when she rose, she didn’t immediately assume her corner. Instead, she walked calmly to the center of the ring, stopping just a few feet from Reina.

“A smother match,” Edith stated, the word leaving a faint distaste on her tongue. “Of all the stipulations. After our last… encounter. Is this some kind of get back, after I took two falls from you. I understand how management is "creative", but this feels… pointed.”

She took half a step closer, her professional demeanor a thin veneer over clear suspicion. “So I have to ask, Miss Reina. Did you have any say in this? Is this your idea of settling the score? Trying to Humiliate me?” She asked, clearing assuming that the girl may have done so to get back at her, Regardless of the answer, she'd simple end up turning to walk to her corner, annoyed or not, suspicious or not, the Professional would remain calm.

The moment Reina's ears heard that familiar baseline, Reina couldnt help but feel her excitement double as she watched the familiar entrance.

'there she is' Reina thought, 'what will show me...today?' as Reina looked at Edith, the technical beauty noticed something she only saw in the midst of a bout: Tension. Not too much that someone who didn't know the gem would notice, but for Reina, everything about the gem felt tense. Though given the nature of this match, she couldn't fault her rival for feeling that way.

And the closer Edith got, the more 'imperfections' the conqueror saw beneath the peerless gems usual luster. 'That's curious' Reina thought, 'what has gotten you upset today?' She wondered, feeling her grin only widen until one question, one accusation gave the conqueror pause.

And with it, fell the rest of Reina's usal stone face calm. Because after hearing Edith words, lt had no choice but to shatter. Holding her hips as she laughed at the accusation, Reina met Edith's biting words with a laughter filled response.

"Heheheh, whether you believe me or not, this was not this type lf match was not my decision. But, as I have told you before, Miss Edith, even with a match such as this, don't you dare disappoint me. For I refuse to do the same for you." Reina replied, her eyes blazing with excitement as she went to her corner as well, ready to hear the sound of the bell.

And as soon as its sound rang out, the conqueror strode to the center of the ring with her arms raised in anticipation, waiting to see if edith would make the first move.

"Disappoint? THe only disappointment I feel is the fact I assumed you'd have enough respect not to target my lesser area's to gain upperhands. But considering you want to act clueless, Perhaps I should remind you whom I am." Edith would respond, her eyes glaring back a sharp glare, clearly agreeing with Reina's own thoughts of wanting a good fight. Edith, somewhat emontial, would burst forward out of the corner, attemtpting to rush the girl, but rather then simply just hitting a running attack, she'd side step, attempting to run up the corner behind Reina, looking to catch her off guard with a run-up the turnbuckle into a Enzugiri, aimed right at Reina's head!

If the match had not started, the conqueror knows she would have laughed once more at Edith's biting accusation. If this was how she wished to view this situation, that was fine by her. Whether or not she believed her words was irrelevant, what truly mattered was the performance the two would do. And at one look into Edith's ruby eyes, the conqueror knew this was going to be a different dance all together.

Because unlike the prodding patience she knew from their last bout, the brilliant gem stsrted things off with a bang! Squinting at Edith's charge, Reina crouched to meet her head on. Thinking that it was just going to be a regular rush attack as the gem made her way across the ring.

'Aren't you reckless tonight...' Reina's thoughts trailed, 'very well, I'll be happy to use this to my advantage?' Before their bodies could collide Reina felt nothing but air as Edith sailed past her, rushing up the corner as Reina whirled around to see a flying enzugiri.

Her eyes widening in shock, Reina would attempt to catch Edith's leg and follow her to the mat in an attempt to sinch in a quick ankle lock.

And if she was successful, Reina would say, "don't...worry, I have not forgotten. But dont you dare forget who I am as well."

Edith’s eyes widened for just a fraction of a second as she felt her ankle get snagged mid-flight—Reina’s reflexes were every bit as sharp as she’d hoped. The enzugiri never landed. Instead, her momentum was stolen, twisted, and turned against her as the Conqueror wrenched her leg and drove them both toward the mat.

“Tch—!”

Edith hit the canvas with a grunt, her back flat against the cold vinyl as Reina’s body coiled around her leg like a serpent. The pressure came instantly—sharp, insistent, and knowing. Reina’s hands locked around Edith’s ankle and heel, torquing just enough to send a hot spike of tension through the arch of Edith’s foot and up her calf. Edith’s jaw tightened, her teeth grinding as Reina’s words landed just as cleanly as the hold itself.

“As if I could,” Edith bit out, her voice low and sharp despite the strain. Her ruby eyes blazed as she planted her palms flat against the mat, feeling the canvas shift beneath her. The ankle lock cranked tighter, and she let out a short, sharp hiss—but she didn’t stay still.

Instead, Edith twisted around, rotating her hips hard to the side, using the twists torque to kick her free leg around Reina's head, locking in behind the back of her neck, the inside of her shins around the Conqueror’s jaw, her calf curling over Reina’s far shoulder.

With a sharp, explosive crunch of her core, Edith squeezed. Her left leg clamped down in a brutal headscissor, her thigh and calf locking together like a steel trap around Reina’s head. At the same time, her body curling into a tight, vicious coil, Edith pulled her in, trying to twist Reina down into a simple headscissor takedown to counter her counter, the pair both trying to get the better of the other! If it worked, Edith completed the takedown with a whip-like snap of her hips, reversing their positions entirely.

Sinch and torque.

Twist and hold.

Crank and drain.

From the moment Reina felt Edith's impact on the mat, the conqueror wasted no time in putting that plan into action. Drain her strength, weaken her legs, keep her busy. Keep her mind distracted. Sneering as she watched the hidden gem, Reina's gilded eyes never left Edith. Knowing that even a second was more than enough time for her to slip free.

And with her pride, she knew this wasn't the end, not by a long shot, so, as Reina watched Edith move, she'd try to turn against her. Hoping to use her weight and size like an Anchor, hoping to keep her rival from gaining ground.

But sadly for the conqueror, Edith already had a plan up her sleeves.
"Tsk!" *and before Reina could move, she felt as if a clamp had drenched itself around her head. Filling her sight with purple and black as despite her best attempts, Edith had her locked tight between her legs. And worse for Reina she found herself in the same position Edith was just a monent ago, flipping through the air before her back crashed into the mat!

"Urgh!" Forcing a grunt from her lips as her hands clawed against Edith's steel trap she called legs.

Kicking and writhing on the mat, Reina's mind raced with idea after idea as her lungs yearned for air, ringing the alarm in her mind as Reina tried to find a way out of this hold. Aiming kick after kick at Edith, almost flailing in her attempts, but at each miss, Reina aaw her legs get closer and closer.

So, on her last attempt, Reina would try to shoot her keg out once more, but, instead of trying to hit her rival, Reina would try to give Edith a headscissor of her own unless Edith had something to say about it.

The headscissor clamped down like a vice, Edith's ankles burning as she squeezed with everything she had. The Conqueror kicked and thrashed beneath her, clawing at her legs, and Edith held firm, her ruby eyes narrowed in focus. Then she saw Reina attempt to counter, kicking up wards and aiming for her head, Edith getting her hands up in time to catch them as they wrapped around her, looking to try and lock in a headscissor of her own! Edith wince and grit her teeth, this match was already difficult enough without Reina trying to smother her this early.

In response she'd twist around herself, trying her darndest to escape from the hold. With little options, she decided to instead try countering herself, twisting around as she let go of her ankles, but then tried to snap her thighs around her foe's head like a pair of scissors, looking to pivot her hips and lock in a headscissor! The move was ment to just be a simple counter, but Edith would end up going too hard on the drop. Edith's adjustment brought her hips swinging high and wide. She felt her rear press flush against Reina's face—the soft warmth of breath, the brush of skin against fabric, it would be rather surprising, and Edith immediately blushed "Wha— I didn't— that wasn't—!"

Heat exploded across Edith's cheeks, crawling up to the tips of her ears. Her ruby eyes went wide, as she had just accidentally started the first smother attempt of the match! As much as she could have tried for a few moments longer, the sudden shock meant she wasn't ready for it "Tch, G-GET OFF!" She yelled, attempting to hit a staright palm strike to Reina's stomach. If it worekd, she'd quickly roll off of her, releasing the headscissor entirely and nearly tripping over her own feet in her haste to put distance between them. Edith landed on her knees a few feet away, one hand pressed against her burning face, the other flat on the mat.
