Peggy McIntyre vs. Diago

Peggy stood back up and rubbed her back as she managed to send Diago do the ground. Peggy ran forward at Diago while he was rising knowing that if he wasn't set that was her best chance to attack. She leapt forward, leading with her knee as she attempted to smash into Diago with a hard shot to the head with a running knee strike trying to capitalize on the opening she was given. Peggy knew she had to go all in against someone so much larger than she was. She couldn't let up and if he regained momentum she knew she couldn't let him go on long runs of hard hitting offense or she was through.

Daigo was trying to recover from the Irishwoman’s kick to his chest; he knew she was too skilled an opponent. Her speed and the fact that she was smaller than him gave her an advantage. With these two traits, she could easily exploit a weak spot in his fighting style. As he tried to recover, the Amazon charged again with a knee strike to his face that sent him crashing into the ropes, where he leaned against them after the impact.

The giant realized that since his opponent was slower and taller than him, she would use that to her advantage to avoid falling victim to his classic throws or powerful strikes, so he decided to be ready for his female opponent’s next attack, staying at the ropes so that when the rider came back to attack, he would deliver a kick to her stomach that would surely stun her enough to allow him to follow up with another move

Peggy played into the trap. She rushed in looking to clothesline Diago over the ropes to the outside but when she got close she took the hard kick to the abdomen! She groaned and hobbled back, cradling her abdomen in her arms while she was doubled over. She was stunned and wide open for counter attacks.

It was extremely rare for any of Daigo’s plans to work, but today he managed to pull this one off: the Amazon charged straight at him, only to take a kick to the stomach and leave herself vulnerable to her opponent’s attacks

It was his chance to counterattack, and he wasn’t going to waste it. To do so, he would use a clothesline to knock her to the mat (the very same move Peggy had tried against him at the start of the match), but this time he was going to take advantage of her being dazed to land it properly.

Peggy was hit by Diago and she was sent crashing down to the mat on her back! She groaned and cradled her upper chest where the strike landed, kicking the mat a couple times in pain. She was down and stunned, reeling after the heavy strike. She was rolling over trying to push herself up to her feet but her recovery was slow after a hit like that.

And the blow landed perfectly on target. Now her opponent was falling to the ground, kicking in pain and clutching her injured areas as she lay on the mat. “I’m sorry, Miss Peggy, but I have to perform one of my specialties. Don’t take it personally,” she said in a formal, unintentionally comical tone.

First, she would crush the veteran’s injured stomach to cause more damage, and then she would help the Amazon get back on her feet so she could perform one of her signature moves, the “Midnight Tour,” on her Irish rival and attempt to pin her.

Peggy was down when she took another shot to her abdomen, and then she was bulldozed by more offense which left her laid out and completely motionless on the mat. She groaned in pain and was covered as the pin count began.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Peggy thrust a shoulder up off the mat and kicked out of the pin but she was still hurting.

The strikes landed squarely, and her movements were executed to perfection. It was a spectacular display of movement and strength that her Irish opponent had to endure, culminating in a pin that Daigo was certain would end the match. But Peggy wasn’t about to go down that easily.

The count reached ten when the Amazon escaped by moving her shoulder at the last moment, surprising the behemoth. The muscular giant knew that even though she was injured, she would refuse to give him an easy victory and would fight until the end, so he got up, moved her closer to a corner, and climbed onto it to execute a diving elbow drop on her now that she was dazed. And this time, he would use the other shoulder.

Peggy was down but what her opponent didn't realize is that him going to the top rope also gave her time to recover! She saw where he was going and laid still waiting. As soon as Diago jumped into the air Peggy would roll hard to the side and dodge as he could come crashing down to the mat hitting nothing but the ring canvas as he landed!

Daigo calmly dragged the Amazon’s body until he positioned it near the ring, so he could climb onto it and launch an aerial attack. But what he didn’t realize was that Peggy still had energy left, was still conscious, and was recovering from the previous blows.

And just like the last time he attempted an elbow drop in this match, he would end up hurting himself again. Maybe he should stop using them. The Irishwoman dodged at the last moment, causing the behemoth to crash into the mat. He remained lying there as he tried to recover, opening a window of opportunity for his opponent to counterattack and turn the tide of the fight.
